Notes

  • Minimum $50 spend per transaction.
  • Discount also applies to postage.
  • A maximum discount of $100 applies to each transaction (Transactions totalling at least $666.67 including postage will give you the maximum $100 discount).
  • Up to 3 transactions per person.
  • Payment must be done through PayPal.
  • Discount can be applied to items sold by overseas sellers, as long as you checkout on eBay.com.au.
  • You can purchase multiple items (even from different sellers) in one transaction by adding them to your cart. However, make sure all items are in the same currency. Otherwise, you'll have to checkout in each currency separately and each currency you checkout with will count as a separate transaction.
  • PayPal transactions will show the full amount after the purchase. However, if you login to your PayPal account, find the transaction(s), and click details, you will see a 15% contribution from eBay plus your actual charge to your funding source which makes up the difference. The total needs be 100% because the seller gets 100%. eBay just pays the 15% and you pay the rest. It should look something like this http://i.imgur.com/afbCvki.jpg (Image courtesy of ezarc - Obtained from previous 15% off offer).
  • Items can be 'purchased' before the promotion starts (ie. Auctions ending before 10am Sunday). Payment is to be made during the promotion period with the coupon code applied at checkout.
  • Don't forget to claim your 2% Cash Rewards cash back.
  • Or earn 2 Virgin Velocity Points for every $1 spent from Virgin Velocity.

Can anyone confirm if you got the 15% for the purchases made before 10am but paid after 10am?

    • +1

When you apply the coupon code it'll say how much you saved, "CELEBRATE15" so you'll already know how much you saved.

And yes as long as you paid during the offer period it's fine, confirmed by eBay.

    • +5

Yes, I can confirm that I made a purchase before 10am, and paid for it after 10am using the coupon code and received 15% off.

    • +1

I can also confirm. Bought earphones yesterday, just paid for them with the discount.

Western Digital 4TB Green Drive for $185 - 15% seems a good deal. Free delivery.

    • +3

Yes, that is a good price. I monitor HDD prices like a hawk. The cheapest it's ever been is ~$160 from Amazon so far.

$157.25 is a new low price.

Pitty no bargains on HGST Hitachi Coolspins… $186.15 is the best I can find, while that's not bad I'm waiting for sub $170.

      • I'm after a 2 terabyte portable HDD - thoughts?

        • Sorry late reply…

I'm only really following the 4TB internal drives as I'm chasing up several for my NAS boxes.

          Just use a combination of:

          staticice.com.au
          amazon.com (global eligible)
          ebay.com.au

to get a good idea of whats a bargain and whats not.

    • Thanks! Picked up 2 desktop drives and a USB flash drive.

  • good ozbargainers wait for cashrewards

  • +5

Oh yeah, the first item has been Ozbargained today is CashRewards ;) Well done, guys!

    • Yep!
      Well and truly Ozbargained!
Looks like paypal and ebay have slowed down as well. Didn't receive the paypal confirmation email after my order. Generally happens straightaway! I hope the order went through and none us face any stuffups!

Edit: Got the receipt and confirmation just when I was typing the above!
      Happy Birthday Ebay!! Well done!

  • +1

logged into to cashrewards at 9:45am and already had all my ebay links ready =))

    • Me too, but if they have restarted the server I wonder if I need to relogin again?

    • +1

Same. I just hope that the crashing of the cash-rewards website doesn't affect my referral credit.

      • To ensure it goes through it would have been best to restart your browser & re-login to CR to refresh the cookie.

    • -1

Yes, this is what I did as well. First time using cashrewards and it's not the best first impression.

  • just scored oneplus one 64gb for $390 delivered. Thanks OP… Thanks Ebay AU!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

  • Picked up a cover for my Weber that I got 50% off 2 weeks ago. Can't find much else worthwhile. Pity no gift cards. Thanks OP!

    • I went all out and got a pizza stone, trivet, cleaning brush, convection trays and hotplate

      • +4

The pizza stone is awesome and you'll use it heaps. Hit up Aldi for some pizza bases as they have packs of two thin bases for $2.49 from memory.

        • +2

or make your own, not hard. (Dough from scratch that is, not pizza stone, that might be a bit tricky)

        • +2

          @danyool:

I make a pizza usually twice a week. I make enough dough for two pizzas: one dough ball I prepare and cook that night, the other I wrap in clingwrap and leave in the fridge for later in the week. Problem is the second dough ball from the fridge is not very flexible and I have a lot of difficulty flattening it out. Any ideas?

        • +1

i don't usually keep pizza dough, but pasta dough is ok from fridge, but it's worked through pasta roller.
Maybe just leave out of fridge for longer before using.

        • +1

          @smokenmirraz:

Always happens once left in fridge, gets smaller and more rigid. Nothing a larger heavy roller pin wont fix (or make sure to make the ball larger before you put it in)

      • Which hotplate is the best one to go for?

There's the Weber Q breakfast plate at $59 (free postage), and then the Campaquip one for $69 + $20 postage but apparently heats up better than the Breakfast plate?

      • do you have a link for them? Did you buy from the same store to save postage?

  • +1

I just know the minute after i decide to stop waiting for cashrewards to come back online and buy it direct, their site will come back online ;)

    • +1

Hurry up and buy. So the rest of us can get cashrewards then…

      • just did… lets see if that worked ;)

  • -6

Is it just me or is there not mention of the relevant code for this deal: CELEBRATE15

Perhaps the OP can assist noobs by adding this info to the description?

    • Is there. Has been since 10am.

  • So… Off I buy 4x 4tb Seagate drives from overseas, USA, am,I getting the discount?

  • +3

    Cash Rewards died.

    • Does that mean we all aren't getting our rebates?

  • Damn my dinosaur of a work PC must be playing up with the double posting there!
    Cant seem to edit either..
    Thanks for the update :)

  • Damn it… I've run out of negs and the ozbargain troll hasn't even posted yet :(

  • People have started listing gift cards and advertising the 15% off. Worth trying?

    • Gift cards are specifically excluded in the eBay T&C's for this offer.

      11. Gift cards/certificates/vouchers are excluded from this offer.

  • Haven't even bought anything because of stupid cashrewards

    • buy it, do not pay.

      • Doesn't work in my experience

        • its work, as long as you click the link on cashrewards and paid through that link.

        • @andyken:

Well I did it for 2 separate transactions last week and neither registered on cash rewards because I sniped the item. Paid with the cash rewards link, no refund for either.

Always worked with buy it now item where I physically press the buy it/bid button.

  • -1

I signed up with Cashrewards this morning. Do they go down every time there is an ebay deal on? This is not the first time ebay have had a general discount.

    Not impressed.

    • I used cashrewards last time when ebay had the 20% and got the cash reward of 2%. I do not recommend you to wait for the site to go up again today. Even if you login successfully and then being linked to ebay.com.au, when you make the purchases, the cashreward site might be down again and could not track your purchases.

    • +3

I used the link through from the Velocity Frequent flyer instead.
2x FF points per dollar spent, better than nothing.

  • What's everything buying?

I got myself a new UHF Phased Array TV Antenna. Saved $11.50 ($65.15 final price)
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=201002…

OnePlus One 64gb and a Nilikin screen protector for under $400

  • -8

Cool, my first "negs" keep em coming! All rather amusing :D

  • As previously mentioned in the downtime you might as well find what you want on ebay and watch it so soon as cashrewards is back up you can go straight through and purchase

    • Already done! Many hours spent preparing. Now watching a little circle go round and round.

  • I got Ps4, COD Ghosts, Killzone, The Last of Us and Other Misc. Stuff.
Anything else to recommend? In terms of PS4 games

  • thank you ebay, bought a G3 wireless charger for $45 from mobileciti.

  • +1 for Ozbargain holding up -1 for cashrewards….still holding off until it comes back online

  • QD has limited G3 32gb black stock… couldn't wait for cash rewards!
