At the risk of being attacked for my association like I was last time I am sharing these two current offers from Voda as they appear to have not currently been shared.

1) Get 3 Months free on $100 Red Plan
Connect to or Upgrade to the $100 red plan and get 3 months access fees free.
Remember Vodafone also give you a three month waiver at the end of your 24 months plan, so effectively this is 6m free which means it averages out at $75 a month (2400-600=1800/24=75)
This offer is available to ANYONE who upgrades or connects to the $100 red plan.
Currently they are giving 2GB Bonus data on this plan bringing the total up to 8GB per month.

RED PLAN:
Unlimited calls to Landlines, Mobiles, 13/1800 and VM
Unlimited SMS to anyone in the world
300 minutes to International Numbers
$5/day Roaming in 47 Countries
8Gb Data (includes bonus 2gb)

2) Port Your number to Vodafone and use your ABN and get 3 Months access fees free.
Switch your number from a non-Vodafone company and get 3 months free when you use your ABN
… Self explanatory :)

And No… if you switch and use your ABN and also connect on the $100 plan u DO NOT get 6m free.. its one or the other.

As usual, my association with Vodafone is through my partner. If questions are asked below I will try and get answers as quick as I can
.. And lets try and avoid Vodafone bashing… I know its fun… but this is simply the sharing of an offer. If you don't like the brand then you have no need to take up the offer.

UPDATE: In regards to iPhone 6 apparently on 19th EVERY store is getting stock so online orders placed now will be sent AFTER store stock is allocated.

  • Is this information written down anywhere besides Ozbargain? I can't find it on the Vodafone website. I'm keen to take this up with the iPhone 6 Plus on Friday morning :)

I assume the 3 free months is only valid with a 24-month contract?

    • +1

      It's here:
      http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/plans
Scroll to the right to see it.

The main problem for me is that the new iPhones are not up yet. Not sure if Vodafone will let this deal (which runs out on 30 Sept 2014) work with the new iPhones.

      • Cheers mate! Might pop into a Vodafone store today and ask if this promo will apply to the new iPhones. I don't see why not though - the Red $100 plan is the Red $100 plan whether it's with an iPhone or a HTC or a Samsung.

        • It applys on any phone however you don't get the free months on deffered phones (posted out cause not in stock in store) however my mrs said stores are honouring the deal via an internal process.

        • 100% will be honoured i have just found out

  • Hi OP, I'm a big fan of Vodafone and have been with them for about 10 years (yes, through all the good and bad times).

With the three month waiver, I have only pushed for that on the odd time a new iPhone had come out just under the two year contract period. Vodafone in this case is always more than happy to waive the three months to get this Vodafone renewal but I have never tried it if I was going to another carrier. Are they likely to waiver it in this instance as they are going to lose you as a customer regardless?

    • Everyone who has competed 21 months can upgrade and have remainder waived.

    • Used to work for Voda - only applies if you upgrade. Moving to another carrier, you'll need to wait out the 24 months

  • +1

At the risk of being attacked for my association….

LOL maybe they will use their 4g modems they got and throw them at you this time… :)

  • The 1st offer is already on the Vodafone site so why would you get attacked by your association???

Yes it does include the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus plans as some people on whirlpool have confirmed.

    • Can you please link to Wp discussion
      Thanks

  • With my Telstra plan due to expire in Dec, the 3mth free offer smooth it all out for me. Thanks for sharing.

    • Not sure if Telstra will waive three months though. This is only confirmed for Vodafone customers.

      • Telstra, not that generous, they quoted $400 service and handset break fee.

  • How do you find the signal? I had horrible experience with Optus drop outs, calls missed and more. Never had problems with telstra. Also this offer goes for the 70-80$ plans? Thanks.

    • The bonus data is on the $80 plan as well
1Gb bonus for NEW customers (total 5gb)
2Gb for upgrading customers (total 6gb)
and the three months waiver at end of contract.. however you do NOT get 3 months free unless u connect with an ABN… if you upgrade or connect to the 70 or 80 u do NOT get three months free at start

  • Hi guys, quick question. If you're required to go with the $100 Red Plan for this deal, is there any point in getting a smaller capacity iPhone 6 (as they all seem to be free on the $100 plan)?

    • +1

May as well get value for money and grab the biggest capacity phone you can for free

      • Thanks jimbo, will get onto this!

  • If you wanted this deal with the 128GB iPhone 6 (not Plus) included at no additional charge, my advice is to call them. Got mine yesterday.

    • Many customers who are upgrading who have completed a full 24 months already are getting discounts of 1-5 dollars automatically applied by the system. Remember you can go into store to get deals and not have to wait for the phone.

      • Hi jimbobaus,
I have been with vodafone for 8 years and currently completed a 24 months contract, when trying to upgrade to $70 red plus $4 for iPhone 6 16GB no discount $1-5 is displayed by the system, could you tell me what I have to do to get that discount?
        Cheers

  • WOW…….8GB, seriously can be used that much???

But great deal no matter what!

    • I find myself chewing through data like nothing else with my MBPr on tether plus usual daily web activities on iPhone. I reckon 8GB a month I could use easy.

    • 1GB/day while travelling interstate for work is incredibly easy (and that's with office wifi/network availabilty).

  • went to Vodafone store yesterday and the guy said they will not be getting any stocks on the 19th. so I went with upgrade with 2-3 weeks delivery….dang, should've just pop-up Friday morning.

  • 2400 - 600 = 1800……please correct it

    • LOL.. fixed :)

  • I see on the voda site that all phones on the plan show the 2 gig extra and the 3 free month EXCEPT the iPhone6, there same area is blank so I am guessing no 3 months free and no extra 2gigs.
    http://shop.vodafone.com.au/all-mobiles?actionSearchSitemap=…

    • It will be applied no matter what.
If in doubt place your order in a store and they can show u on the screen that the offers are being applied.

  • wow, i'm gonna order the 6plus this Friday, this deal just makes this Friday more tempting!!!

  • spintel amaysim lebara plans seem a lot cheaper at around $30 for a unlimited plan with 2.5 gig
is the rest of the plan phone cost ?

    • They're offering 8GB data and a phone. So $55 a month or $1155. Not bad when you consider the phone is sold for $1129 (128gb iPhone 6 or 64gb iPhone 6 plus) and you get to pay it off over 21 months rather than upfront.

      • Which compnay is this?? $1155 sounds goodo

        • $55 a month on top of what MATTS is paying for his plan.

  • Vodafone also give you a three month waiver at the end of your 24 months plan

Is there any cancellation fees or handset repayments for the cancelling early? Is there a link to the Vodafone site?

    • They only offer it if you are upgrading and commiting to another contract.

  • -3

3 Months Free on $100 RED PLAN

    What is ?

  • If I wanted the Iphone 6 plus I have to wait until the 19th to order it right? Would it apply to this deal?
Would I be able to go to a store today and preorder it?

    • Call them today.

    • The plus is available to buy/order from 8am on the 19th
Many stores will have stock so going in early might increase your chances to get one quickly.

  • I swore i never go with vodafone after my horrible terrified experience with their customer service. Google your self before you decide to go with them, virgin and optus are much more better

    • Understand your concern, and my son had problems with Vodafone as well, but has found they have improved a lot.

My service with Optus (reseller) has deteriorated a lot in the past 12 months so I am getting a little peeved with them.

That said I am not in the market for a $100pm plan…

      • Call Vodafone call centre. They can do better deals.

        100 red plan for iphone 6 128gb,

i got Telstra $200 match and they are doing the 3 months free. So total 5 months free!

        2400 - 500 = 1900 / 24 = 79 per month!

minus the outright price 1129, it's like almost 33 dollars per month for 8GB running 4G and unlimited OZ text and call.

currently on vaya 29 plan (1.5 years old), 4GB running 3G only and unlimited OZ text and call. So I pay 3 dollars more for 8GB 4G, i am EXTREMELY happy Vodafriend!

        • what do you mean the Telstra $200 match?
          you mean welcome credit?

        • @Rakddon:

          YES welcome credit from telstra.

        • @mooreshady:

all good, I got the offer i wanted with the 6 Plus.

  • My first phone contract was with vodafone about 3 years ago. I've been with telstra since then and reluctant to switch back, even if it's cheaper. Have people's experience with their network improved or should I still avoid?

    • grab a $2 sim and try it, for me its been fine where i live and go regularly, a little worse than telstra in some areas (i.e. i could use telstra in the lift dow nto my carpark, but i cant vodafone) everyones experience will vary but for me ive been happy to save the $$$

  • I just upgraded from my iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 64GB for 24 months contract with Vodafone. I spoke to Retention team and scored $5 ongoing discount. In a nutshell, scored $79 plan for $74 (Red plan including phone). They wouldn't discount anymore than that. Trust me, I tried hard! Hope this helps some of yous..

  • 1 more month and I will be out of contract with Vodafone & will move to Virgin Mobile
    iPhone 6 64gb - $60 month
    iPhone 6+ 64gb - $67momth
Vodafone is very expensive this time. So Goodbye Vodafone/3 after 8 years of being loyal.

    • +1

I think this offer is much better if you're getting the iphone 6 plus 128gb. For $75/m, as calculated by OP, you get the phone, unlimited calls and text and 8gb of data. Unless you're not a heavy data user. You might find this plan expensive.

    • +1

Actually when you compare plan inclusions plus phone cost Vodafone is technically the best value of he big 4 networks (well three really)

  • Sorry OP, I just need to understand this correctly. So if I upgrade to this plan, I get the last 3 months (21-24th month) free?

    • +1

Reading it, its NOT free its just that you can move off the plan after 21 months. Think like its a 21 month plan. Your savings are on the handset part of the contract, whatever that really is.

    • If you are currently in a contract with voda and have completed 21 months you can upgrade to any plan and get the remaining months on your current contract waived. If you choose the $100 plan you will also get the first three months access fees free and then in 21 months from now you can upgrade again.

  • Oh ok. Thanks for that!

  • I think last three months they will let you upgrade without any penalty this is my understanding and they can refuse this too

    • +1

If you take the $100 plan
You get first three months access fees waived
Then when you get to 21 months if our upgrade with Vodafone they waive the final three months also.

      • But if I take the $100 plan and after 21 months you say we can "upgrade" does that mean I can only move to plan same or greater than $100/month on any plan with Vodafone even if it is $30/month for example

        • would like to know the answer to this as well.

  • Is the plus going to be instores friday? Im not seeing anything about it. Im already on a galaxy note 2 and want to keep the size.

    • -1

Wait for the note 4?? I heard it's awesome. :)

      • I alternate between android and ios every 2 years. getting the same phone just slightly newer isnt an upgrade for me

    • I can't speak for every store but I know some will have the plus in store yes.

  • One of the CSR's told me when I rang on Saturday, it'll be ready for preorder on friday.

    • Many stores will have stock of the plus.

  • Are there any deals on 12 mth plans (not interested in iphones)?

    • Not really biut the 12 month plans are better value that others plus you get to keep the phone at the end of the plan.

  • Is the ABN offer written anywhere? Hoping to go instore Friday morning to get a 128gb iPhone 6+ on the $70 cap.

    • Not sure if the offer is advertised anywhere but it's certainly on all the posters I have seen in stores including my mrs store.

  • Here's a direct link to Red Plans with phone 24 month:

  • I would love to get this deal just for the 8 gb data. Too bad the CSR won't let me upgrade, saying I still have 7 months.

  • Tried to upgrade today and they said 3 month offer was only for new customers and not existing. Sounds like they couldn't care less and will let existing customers wanting to upgrade to a $100 Red plan walk away.

    • try again when they open tomorrow morning.

  • Thought I'd give a little update, I decided to make the switch to Vodafone after leaving them 4 years ago. They have the 30 day satisfaction guarantee, gave me a $300 credit and so far the speed has been quicker for me compared to my old AldiMobile pre paid (Telstra 3G) and I live in a Vodafone 3G area that had little coverage and constant drop outs 4 years ago (hence why I left them).

So I've got an iPhone 6 plus 128gb (value $1249) and will have a total figure of $2172.
I was going to purchase the phone regardless so using Vodafones network and monthly repayments (as opposed to purchasing outright) will cost me $923 or around $38.50 a month.

I was paying $45 on AldiMobile a month (2gb of data and limited though enough calls/mms/text while now I have unlimited calls/mms/text and 8gb of data as well as 2 months of 'unlimited' data though I'll struggle to get through 5gb since I use wifi at least half of the time.

Overall so far I'm impressed with the network and the phone, it'll be very interesting to see if I'm still happy with the network in 21 months time when I'm considering wether or not to stick by Vodafone.

    • As for the 21 months

They only offer it if you are upgrading and commiting to another contract.

So you will have to stick with them for the whole 24 months

  • Vodafone No plans customer since 2000. Called and politely asked for the $100/mth + three month free deal + $200 credit (telstra match). Vodafone customer service was nice, had a polite chuckle, said no deal for double dipping, but willing to make a counter offer/upgrade

    The advertised deals
    ($100 plan + $0 handset)/mth, free three months, 8gb data ($2100 over 24mths) (expires 30/09/14)
    ($80 plan + $8 handset)/mth, 5gb data ($2112 over 24mths) (expires 04/11/14)

Here is the Vodafone deal I accepted instead
    ($80 plan + $0 handset)/mth, 6gb data ($1920 over 24 mths)
Compared to standard $88/mth deal, I get
    - Free handset and extra gig ($8+$10)/mth x 24 = $432 savings.

Calculations, Based on my order for the iPhone 6 128gb Silver $1129
    $1920 - $1129 = $791
    $791/24
$32.95/mth for unlimited talk, 6 gb data, with new iPhone 6 (128gig)

So far, I am really impressed with Vodafone.
My iphone 6 handset is due to arrive in three weeks.
$80/mth plan has already been activated. Cannot delay it unfortunately.

Worth calling vodafone especially if you are a pre existing customer.

    • The $80 plan comes with 5GB + 1GB Bonus as standard.
