But this time Dick Gives MORE :)

      • More Dicking around…

        That's over 25% off a $99 spend, or exactly 25% off a $300 spend.
Pay anything other than those figures and your discount decreases.

        • +7

          Come on Muncan… it's actually 16.67% off a $300 spend :)

        • +7

SEIKI 65" (165cm) Full HD LCD LED TV for $764 and free delivery made by Tsinghua Tongfang Company. Not as good as the $737 a little while ago. But still excellent.

  • Even better now - 8 packs of eneloop + $10 DS voucher for $89.84 after $25 off and $15 Amex offer.

    • yep buy them now before they are over in like an hr

Tempted, but don't need any more now, or ever.

        • +1

I don't think any of us do now :)

    • Nevermind.

    • I'm really annoyed. Web site still says AAA chocolat packs are in stock. I received an invoice stating that they are out of stock on Friday. At no point did I see them listed as out of stock on the web site!

    • @syousef
The AAA seem to still be in stock as per normal both on DS eBay and the website. Note price is back up to $49.

  • any idea how good the hitachi 39" is?

    • Hitachi is a no name brand these days.

  • Hmmm…

I am still waiting for my orders to arrive. one been over 2 weeks and another one 1 week. Both items show in stock online, but still not send…

  • Was hoping for Gaming Pre orders, hey Trent did last weekends 20 off 99-199 version include gaming pre orders?

    • +4

Pretty sure it did, this week dse has been against giving pre orders on special :(

      • I know what you mean!, I was in store just a few hours ago thinking I'd pre order Horizon 2 for the 10 off thing but held off thinking the usual dse codes were coming and now they exclude :(

Might wait a few now for next weekends codes LOL.

        • +1

Yeah they need to fix the pre order and the xbox one games :)

The 4k model they make has good reviews

    • +2

I have it and pic is good in day scenes, dark scenes is not so good as you can see the detail being lost and only way to fix it is by putting brightness higher but then black looks more towards white . Slight viewing angle problems where you can notice a colour shift but in center of tv is fine. Overrall tv is fine for gaming as that was my main purpose, games are responsive enough but not as good as sony i had prior.

      • Nice Well I will be using it for gaming, thanks for the review

  • $104 including delivery - Microsoft Office for Windows Home & Student 2013. Less another 5% with OW price match or $15 with Amex deal.

MSY price - $118 (cheapest on staticice).

  • HUAWEI Ascend Y320 1.3ghz,Android 4.2 Unlocked $109 = Coupon code "SHOP25" is not valid.

No Motorola moto G to be seen

  • Hi Op you mentioned samsung 55 6400 tv comes to $1199 after shop 100 code? I can only get it down to $1599 any idea why
    Samsung 55" (139cm) Full HD 3D 100Hz Smart LED LCD TV UA55H6400 $1199

    • Probably meant UA55H6300, regardless a few of the samsung TVs have ceased sale early, I've been insomnia all night and i remember specifically considering the UA48H6400 because it was $1099 (now $1499) and could have been brought down to $999.
I guess it's too late. keep an eye out though it might come back.

  • Any good printer deal?

  • Galaxy tab 3.0 7" 8G $144 after discount. Yeah/nah ?

    • not even as good as the nexus 7 (2012) which regularly goes for less.
I saw one in my local dick smith as clearance for $129 and i got one recently refurbished, but it perfect condition for $99 delivered. The nexus 7 2013 is miles better and not much more expensive either

    ACER Aspire 15.6" E5-571-51ZL W8.1 4GB Ram 500GB HDD Intel Notebook $519

Good deal on that Acer laptop, since there's also $69 Cash-back, according to Dick's product page, bringing it down to $450 (after Cash-back) - for a current gen Core i5 that ain't bad at all :)

    Win 8.1 loaded too.

    • +1

Thanks Trent86 and nismo for pointing this one out.

Have purchased with the Amex deal, total price: $435.

      Good price considering the specs.

Or if u had got it yest dick smith had it for $1284 deliv with wicked15 code :)

  • +1

Any good $1 items around to add to the Hitachi tv?

    • Yeah i was wondering too, having problems finding something that could be delivered.

      This is one thing, http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/dick-smith-…

      only click and collect though:(

    • Well seeing as how the speakers on the variations of that TV are apparently crap you could add these effectively for free or these for $15 more than just the TV

    • I was looking around for quite a while as well but then came across this item http://www.dicksmith.com.au/mobile-phone-accessories/samsung…

Buy this because it is pretty much the same price as the delivery then just sell it on eBay. Your cart should then come to the same price but this way you are getting a free item instead of paying $9.95 for delivery.

  • thanks Lief1250

  • +1

whatever happened to fifa15 xbox1 bundle?

  • HITACHI is more of branding ploy, these aren't high quality Japanese panels instead the brand has oped to use generic Chinese panels. Still at the price it's hard to complain, $250 for a FHD TV is vey cheap, just keep this is mind.

    • Hitachi is no name brand these days.

  • Any items with free delivery ?

  • The little 11.6" Toshiba laptop caught my eye. Apparently fanless, based on this blog which has some disassembly pics and the author's experiences running GNU/Linux on it. Notebookcheck review of a similarly spec'd model shows excellent power consumption, noise and temp figures. Pity about the small battery.

    • +2

If you want to run linux on a low powered laptop a chromebook with haswell is your best bet plus they have great battery life too :)

  • Price of UA40H5000 has gone up to $650.
GG is $550 (ebay 20%) plus $50 delivery.

my god still doesnt work for xb1 fifa……

  • +1

I was looking at buying the XB1 console from Target for $549 (includes Fifa, Dentiny, Rayman Legends & Trials Fusion). I can buy these games seperately - Rayman for $35 and Trials Fusion for $23 from EB Games plus Fifa from DSE for $67 (can always look at getting JB to price match DSE and use 20% off voucher - minimum $100 spend). I thought that getting the XB1 Forza 5 and Destiny bundle plus two packs of AAA batteries for $425 would be the better deal, essentially getting the console and same games plus Forza 5 as a bonus for $1 more than the Target bundle.

Unfortunately DSE has no stock on this bundle! :(

    • That's the same bundle I was looking for too :(

  • +2

Thanks TRENT86!! I just bought an Acer laptop, it was on hot offer for $594 (original price was $704), after entering promo code CASH75 I paid $519 only!! It made my weekend :)

  • Doesn't work with beats by dr. dre. Otherwise I should have bought it now.

    • Excludes Apple, Beats by Dre….

  • Seiki TV is $474 after applying SHOP75 code. Free Delivery.

  • Might be able to get the Samsung $200 cash back on top if you buy an eligible TV and soundbar too.

    E.g
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/checkout/cart/

    https://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/tv-av/soundbar-cashbac…

    • Samsung 48" (122cm) FHD LED 3D Smart TV UA48H6400
      $1,499

SAMSUNG 2.1 Bluetooth Sound Bar HW-H551
      $438.40

Comes to a total of $1,837.40 after SHOP100 CODE
Plus $200 On prepaid card from Samsung = $1637.40

Terrible deal considering they are $998 from JB for the TV, soundbar is $355 from Appliance Central. Still $200 cheaper without any discount.

      • Wasn't the case last night, Samsung TV's were great prices but went back up this morning :(

    My message to Dick Smith on behalf of gamers everywhere;

Bah, the tightarse in me just won out. I've been looking for a 65" TV & toying with the idea of the TCL/Hisense UHDs in the sub-$2k region; but economic rationalisation kicked in & I just pulled the trigger on the 65" Seiki.

The ability to use my $120 from the Woolies insurance cashback made it a no-brainer…it's effectively cost me $644 out of pocket for a 65" FHD TV, not even a stingy bastard like me can complain about that! ;)

    • Nice man :) Good reviews on it too

      • +1

Cheers, I'll let everyone know how I like the TV when it arrives.

As always, thanks again for the heads-up on the discounts too; I stand in awe of your bargain finding prowess! :)

        • That's an astonishing amount of TV for the money, like $11-$12/inch. Well done! Lol, just re read your post and saw you hd even more discounts coming your way, $10/inch make this a killer deal!

        • @LaTerrible: Thanks! I wish I could take credit for good management on this play, but TBH it's all down to OzB! :)

  • $1659 for Toshiba Kirabook i7 Touchscreen 2560 x 1440 1.35kg sounds good.
    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/netbooks-ultrabooks/toshiba-kira…

    • I wonder how MS Word/Excel etc would look with that screen? Would it scale correctly?

  • +1

bah, this and the AMEX $15 credit has me searching for something to buy that i really don't need!

    • +1

Use your Amex to buy a $100 Woolies/WISH gift card from DSE and you can use it at more places. Not all DSE have the Woolies/WISH gift cards so you gotta call around and check first.

      • I think T&C says not valid for giftcard purchases?

The following are not Eligible Transactions:
        1. Purchasing a merchant’s goods through a third party, such as through a department store, concession store, online aggregator or retailer
        2. Purchasing gift cards from a merchant
        3. Transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded

        • How do they know what you bought?

        • @wxyz234: they don't usually works fine

  • any good price for 2tb hdd portable or >4tb desktop drive?

  • Which phone is better - Huawei Ascend G526 vs Nokia Lumia 520. They are roughly same price now?

    • Nokia lumia 520 is a little less powerful at 1ghz compared to 1.2 on g526, both have 5mp camera but then it depends on whether you want android or windows.

  • +1

Damn, that Hitachi 39" LCD is cheap! Usually 32" ones are at this price.

If I didn't already have a projector as a monitor I'd get this.

  • Finished as I was about to pull the trigger.. :(

    Not happy Jan!

    • +1

      It's a sign…

Be thankful. Money saved, that is until 10am today on eBay…

      • Whats finished?, if your talking about this sale it finishes on Sunday

        • Nope.. the code stopped working for me already before 12am. :(
EDIT - Its was working again but now "SHOP25 is not valid".

Was trying to get the Toshiba Encore.. but its doing some weird shite..

EDIT2 - The code is not allowed when I login with my username/password.

Might have to try my alternative email to see if that works?

        • @bchliu: don't sign in until at end of checkout

  • After urmming and arghing for the last few weeks, just pulled the trigger on buying the Seiki 55" for the missus cough just in time for the NRL final and Bathurst ;)

  • How would the Hitachi 39" compare with a Kogan 40" ?

    • I would go with Hitachi
