Wow, got the email 5 minutes ago. Was waiting to see who would take the glory for posting!!!

  • +1

Was hoping they'd have other colours.

    • +7

I was hoping they'd be made of chocolate :(

  • +2

    Oh not again ……..

  • +3

luck i held out from last time, think i saved myself $5 :)

    • +3

No you didn't they were 5 for $59.95 last time so ended up $11.99 each delivered

      • What do you have that uses 40 AAA batteries? I'm legitimately curious.

        • I'm guessing multiple devices that use up to 4 AAA batteries each, plus hot spares?

        • Children's toys…

        • +1

          @eug:

Those damn TI-84s Needed a pencil case of AAA in school

      • what am i gonna to do with that many, I'm not opening a shop.

how much was it for 1 last time??

  • says $14.98 for me?

    • +2

      "AUCK9S"

    • +1

Remember the "AUCK9S" coupon code to get 9% off.

    • +1

ahh opps yeah missed the code…

      • +8

The irony when somebody misspells oops.

  • +2

perhaps moving manufacturing to china has made a difference? never seen eneloops this cheap before :)

    • not sure about the quality of these after move to China but for AAAs this cheap, I'm willing to take a potshot at it.

  • Coupon seems to have expired?

    • Just worked for me :)

    • Worked for me too.

      • Strange, it says it's not valid for me.
It worked when I first added to cart, then it asked me to log in and now it isn't valid.

      • Coupon code "AUCK9S" is not valid for me.

  • Wish I needed this :)

    • +1

That's no reason not to buy it, this is OzBargain after all :)

      • +1

I know…. done that so many times.

  • Got one!

  • +1

    Finally I got one

  • Just worked for me too - and good with yesterday's 5 for 10 voucher

  • +2

Seems expensive for 8 pieces of Chocolate.

    • +4

These are Chocolat, not Chocolate :D

  • And not available any more, also these are AAA not AA.

  • And dead?

  • Damn. Sold out just as entering Paypal password…

    • Same, just as I was entering shipping details for me

  • Link in the topic goes to 404 Not Found error. Sold out already is it!.

    • Nope that the AA battery pack. Not the AAA which was being sold. You've all Ozbargained it!!!.

    • Well those are AA but AAA are the same price:
      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/camera-accessories/eneloop-aaa-c…

      AAA sold out though.

        • Yep it's showing as gone back to $49.98. The sale didn't last very long did it must have been a real 200 buyers limit for a change. Ozbargained.

        • @hollykryten:

But the email said 3-4pm may be already over 200 customers.

        • @superforever:

Yes exactly as i said must have been a real buyers customer limit for a change. Ironically probably one of Ozbargains most sought after item had a real hard customer limit at the price. That's the only conclusion that i can come up with since it hadn't reached 4pm yet. Either that or every one bought out every single stock that Dick Smith had.

  • +1

Thank you. Also if you buy these AAA betteries and are after AA betteries here is a deal.
you get a 'Dicksmith Rechargable Bettries 4pk' for only $5 (with any purchase). http://www.dicksmith.com.au/ds-lsd-rechargeable-nimh-batteri…

The deal is on the main page.

    • +2

      Are Betteries better than Batteries?

    • I picked up a pack of 4 Dick Smith AA rechargeables from my local DS store the other week for $2 a packet. Now there was a deal.

By the way that exact same battery pack which you pointed to was going for $1.85 per packet back in June.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150184

    • sorry i meant Batteries not betteries.

      • +2

        That's much batter.

  • bought 3, usually miss out on these :)

  • +1

How long does delivery take..? I'm still waiting on mine to be fulfilled, ordered on 11th Sep (8xAAs)

  • +2

Can't believe I spent $23 at Jbihifi on 4pack Energizer Rechargers

    • +1

Mr T will say - "I 'PeeDee' da fool who spent $23 on batteries!"

    • +8

      You're new here aren't you?

      • +4

Luke73, surprisingly Peedee has been around for 2 years more than you…
        Lol

        • +5

          That is a surprise.
PeeDee must have a life & not be addicted to this awesome site like me.

        • being a member longer doesn't necessarily mean you know more

ever considered a dentist in their mid 30's?
does that mean a 60 year old would know more about dental?

what about someone who's got a gold license. does that mean this individual can really reverse park better than someone on their P's?

        • +1

          @PavloXYZ:

being a member longer doesn't necessarily mean you know more

I think it's safe to say that if you regularly browse OzB over the past two years or so, you will know very well that Eneloops go on sale very frequently at $19.98 for a pack of 8.

        • and if not, Scotty conveniently put in a search bar to check previous posts!

        • @eug:
i totally agree, i don't even buy eneloops for $19.98 for a pack of 8 simply because it's so often that it doesn't feel like a bargain anymore

but that's your assumption on PeeDee. do you know him/her personally and do you monitor how often he/she uses OzBargain?

like i said, being a member longer doesn't necessarily mean you know more.
not knowing more includes lacking the understanding of search button to reveal previous deals, and possibly not even accessing this site at all after joining.

regardless, PeeDee didn't pay full price and the difference can be considered as a lesson well learnt

        • @PavloXYZ:

being a member longer doesn't necessarily mean you know more

No it doesnt, but if you use ozbargain like crack it makes sense (see above comments)

ever considered a dentist in their mid 30's?
does that mean a 60 year old would know more about dental?

Yes, i trust someone with 60 years experience in a specialist health field, over a person with half the experience.

what about someone who's got a gold license. does that mean this individual can really reverse park better than someone on their P's?

I don't have a licence made of gold, nor am i licensed to mine gold, but if i did i'd convert it to cash to buy eneloops.
Regarding reverse parking, i'd kick a P platers ass in reverse park off anyday, but thats because i'm a 60 year old dentist with poor vision

        • @PavloXYZ:

but that's your assumption on PeeDee.

I never made any assumptions about PeeDee. You might be confusing me for someone else.

like i said, being a member longer doesn't necessarily mean you know more.

I think you're missing the point of luke73's comment.

The point of his comment was …. that it was just a bit of humour.

          That's it.

          Ha!

    • I can't believe it either you could have bought it from Bunnings for $19.98.

      http://www.bunnings.com.au/energizer-aa-recharge-batteries-4…

    • Ouch. Energizer rechargeables are garbage that don't hold charge at all over time.

Get these instead if you can't get the Eneloops on sale: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/00240585/

      • or try Hobbyking.

        • Well Turnigys are more expensive, esp with the shipping. These IKEA ones have been tested by a few people at BLF and they're pretty decent.

  • Perhaps DSE could make a deal for Chromecast?

  • Crap, missed it. Need some AAA's

  • Damn it. I missed the deal. That hurts.

  • +2

I still have not received my order couple of weeks ago. Contacted them today and they say the product is on backorder, funny how there's no communication.

    Errr!!!

    • Already got the ones I ordered Friday.

  • I need some, so if anyone has ordered extra ones from this sale or previous ones, PM me.

  • I couldn't find the mAh of the Energizer Ultimates, but I think these might be more. I switched out some Ultimates from my Speedlight with Eneloop AA's and they were fantastic. Took over 170 shots and they're still going strong. Great batteries.

  • Deal expired as I was going through the checkout process.

Pretty good result, it would of just went on top of my pile of eneloops that I haven't opened yet.

  • OHH man I didn't even know about these batteries, but they are so cute I want… but the deal is expired doh.

  • Sick of seeing the chocolate ones. Bring out new colours already or advertise a different colour that we don't have and want.

  • Still waiting for mine that I ordered on the 11th … Dick Smith are hopeless at answering emails and customer service.

    • I ordered on Friday received yesterday.

      • Same here.

  • Very fast delivery! Ordered it on Tuesday and received Thursday afternoon!
