I am not sure this is good for 250kg but does the job. I purchased long ago and used for a basic house moving. Unfortunately, it is easy to get rust, so keep it dry to make most out of it.

    • +1

Definitely not going to carry 250kg. I've had at most 80kg on it and the wheels were starting to look a little… let's just say, not too round! I honestly think those pissy thin little pressed steel wheels would break well before 250kg. But it it does the job we need it for.

I've had at most 80kg on it and the wheels were starting to look a little… let's just say, not too round!

That is why this unit has INFLATABLE tyres. DOH.

        • +1

Not sure if you read the bit about 'wheels'… not the tyres!
Trust me, I have a fair idea what a 4.10/3.50-4 2 ply will comfortably carry!

    • +1

I got this trolley a few years back for $20 iirc, did the moving job I wanted it to do. Now one of the wheels is coming off, the hub close to the bearing is very clumsy… Plastic I think…

  • I've had one of these for many years too, it's done a great job moving many fridges, dishwashers, computers, cabinets, tables etc over the years. Very solid. A bit rusty now but I haven't treated it well.

Unfortunately one of the wheels exploded when I forgot to properly set the pressure valve on my air compressor while inflating one of the tyres, so I had to buy a replacement wheel which is a bit wonky. I might just buy a whole new one at this price!

  • Got one with sign-up credit.
    Thanks OP

  • +1

I really recommend this trolley, I've had one for roughly a year and it's been invaluable. For $20 you could do a lot worse.

    • Yep. $20 for something this handy, that you can pretty much use for the rest of your life.
      If you haven't already got one, it's a no-brainer.

  • +2

one of the best investment I made around the house.

Place a piece of cardboard/carpet/cloth on the contact points between trolley and the moving item to avoid scratches.

    • +6

one of the best investment I made around the house.

How much did you sell it for ?

      • +13

Investments don't need to be crystallised to have a good return.

If I bought a stock for $1, and it returned dividends which gave me utility equivalent to $100 dollars every year, even if it has a book value of $0 it's still a good return.

        • Is that the crystal method? Cheap stock and massive return?

    • Eatwell

Read the description there is a BONUS trolley cover which equals no "cardboard/carpet/cloth" needed

      :)

Now you can sell your "investment" for even more so JV will be happy.

BTW for everyone else, I bought one of these a few weeks ago and the trolley and cover are great. Like others my previous one had rusted and a tyre was always going down (about 10 years old). (A new wheel alone costs $14)

      • Warning - following the above instructions are not (nor can they ever be) guaranteed to make JV happy. I thought I saw JV happy one day, but it turned out to be gas. Lots of gas, after which you'd think he'd be happy. But no.

    • SCA now sell hand trolley covers to stop scratches or other damage. Durable and non-slip according to the details.

    Not available in WA.

get the cheap trolley to moving items bought on ozbargain more easy

I need a fork lift to move my stuff

    • +4

      Bought too many eneloops?

  • I bought 1 in 2005 and it's still going strong. But air seems to leak out of the tyres over a long duration of time. I think I paid $25 then…So bargain if you compare it against what I paid in 2005 Versus 2014.

  • thanks..

  • +6

Thanks. Used signup credit (which I'd forgotten about) and now have this trolley for $9.99.

Just need a straight jacket & muzzle and I'm set for Halloween!

    • What's the deal with the sign up credit you mentioned?

      • +1

it s here ,but already expired , thanks to adder

        • Oh ok … thanks for the reply.

  • Thanks got one good bargain, expecting to move house in near future its good for moving great tool.

  • Thanks for this. I was after a hand trolley the other week whilst in Bunnings … jeezzz they're a lot more expensive there (glad i didn't get one) … Good to know you can get them a lot cheaper and more importantly from where!!

  • +3

I'm now the owner of a new two wheeler, thanks

  • server error?
    edit: chrome issue

  • Is the bonus hand trolley cover expired?

I don't see that mentioned when I click on the link.

    • +2

I didn't see any mention of the bonus cover either.

For those who may be easier to get to a Bunnings store, they have a hand trolley for $19.95. It seems identical to this, just blue in colour.

    • +2

The bonus cover is automatically added when you place the trolley in your cart.

(or is that cart in your trolley?)

  • ordered one with $10 credit and paid $10 :) thanks! thanhliemduong

  • how people still can order?? edit: chrome issue, FF fine

  • +3

If you need a stair climber for just 1 or 2 moves, Bunnings' hire rate is $16 per 24hours

  • I forgot to add the bonus cover, but should be able to make request in store since placed an order for pick up?

    • when I add the trolley to the card, the cover already in there, no need to do anything.
maybe it s already included in your order.

  • I didn't see anything in the description about a bonus hand cover. I see it as a separate item listed for $9.99.

    • +3

On the top left hand corner of the item picture says "Combo Deal"
I didn't notice until cloudie9's message above, and I have ordered already too, and got a sms to say my order is ready for pick up.
I'm trying to call them now to see if possible to add… still on waiting music.

      — called their customer service, they were unable to change order, and offered to transfer me to store.

      — called store, they advised they can't change order, but able to return & reprocess order when I arrive @ the store.

      • Thanks OP!!! Bought 2

thanks cola2002, you just saved me the hassle of reordering!! :)

        • +1

No worries, I also printed the combo order details from the website to show them at store, so hopefully no dramas.

        • @cola2002:

  • How does one join the SCA to qualify $10 credit one off.
All I am getting is Club Plus
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/SCA-L…

    Am I missing something :(

    • it was a promotion that is now finished

    • +2

you can still purchase the SCA Club Plus for $5 and in return you get $10 credit (i waited 2mins. before I received it). then you can use the $10 to buy the trolley, you'll end up spending $15 all in all so that is $5 more saving.

  • +2

So happy, I destroyed the tires on 2 hand trollies yesterday at work, I was going to go into SCA to get new tires, this is a god send. Thanks OP.

  • 9.99 ordered! Including cover.
    Thanks OP.

Threatened to throw my current one out in hard rubbish last week complete with rusted frame and flat tyres. Should've done it.

  • +1

thanks op. got one but no cover.

if you in nsw. villawood got one but no tyres. auburn has many but you have to wait for the cashiers to stop bickering about lunch before serving you.

  • thanks OP. bought one with cover.

  • Thanks OP, am moving in 2 weeks and this will be very useful. Thanks esoncruz for the detail on membership credit, picked one up with cover for &15.

  • Thanks OP….I got one as well w/cover

  • I was getting the '500 server error' on my log in page as well.

Ended up going down to the store in person (Thomastown, Vic) and grabbed one there and they were able to manually look up my account and use my $10 voucher.

Brought the price down to $9!

Make sure you pump up the tyres, they were at 2psi, pumped them up to 30PSI.

  • +1

Bunnings have it too for $19

  • +2

thanks you all. the first time i got more than 100 vote and many people like the post. very happy :)

    • now happy wheeling : )

  • Is this deal instore as well?
BTW is the bonus cover online only?

    • +2

I had a massive issue getting this deal (cover and trolley combo) in store yesterday. Asked for trolley, then said Im after the cover combo - was told NO, online only deal. I said "What, so you want me to purchase online and then pickup from you tomorrow? Im right here, right now." Begrudgingly they allowed the combo deal to go through in store. It was well worth the argument!

      • Thanks mate

      • Nice, I'll use that line on them in the future too, cheers lol

  • These are a great trolley if you just want to move a fridge or something not overly heavy every now and then.
Obviously for the price you get what you pay for.

Mine (from SCA) must be 8-10 years old now, and apart from getting quiet rusty, it still does it's job.

  • Where do I apply the $10 Credit. It say I have $10 Store Credit from the Previous OZB deal signing up, but it isnt taking the $10 off anywhere that I can see and I'm up to CONFIRM payment for $19.99

  • Seems unreasonable that staff are refusing to sell same deal in store . Unfair to Poeple who can't order online due to not having a credit card (I use Aus post load and go) and some people don't have Internet access .

I guess I missed this $10 credit deal that people are talking about . But with loyalty membership ($5 cost available in store or online) you receive $10 credit after you register online

. I believe all you need is multiple emails and make up phone numbers to get Loyalty card many times over .

Not a huge saving , but if people want , they can get $10 credit for $5 repeatedly :)

    • +1

and some people don't have Internet access.

Let's be honest… We're not exactly worried about those people here, are we?

      • +3

Some people may buy the print version of Ozbargain Weekly . It's usually located next to the the Trading Post at the newsagent.

        • +1

Last month they had jv on the cover.

        • +1

          Doesn't jv write the feature column… " My 3 Cents! "?

        • +1

I hear he even writes in to complain about his own articles, …pointing out poor grammar and incorrect fact checking.

  • Wentworthville NSW have plenty in stock..

  • Just wanted to reiterate my earlier comment that there is no way knowing that this thing could possibly carry 250kg. I used it again today to cart 50 boxes up to my shed weighing 17kg each. I loaded just 4 (68kg), started hauling them and watched the wheels buckling a little under the weight. I'd rate it to carry maybe 100kg max before I think the bearings would rip from the wheels!

    • thought the exact same thing…. would self-implode if putting 250kg on it.

      Maybe i should try
