lets be ohnest 3D TVs just suck, images are always blurred and just ruins the whole experience
never yet met someone with a 3D TV that actually uses its 3D feature

    • +7

I use it and actually enjoy it, depending on the movie though it can be a bit of a hit and miss

      • +4

We use our Sammy to watch 3D movies and love it. Agree with warmbeer05 - depends on the movie, lighting conditions etc.

        But generally? Awesome.

    • +1

I watch 3D movies on my telly quite regularly with animated features. Films like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Despicable Me are fantastic fun to enjoy in 3D.

    • No such issues with plasma.

I use my 3D TV for gaming. Helps tremendously with racing games, as I can judge the distance to the corner much better. With games like the Batman Arkham series, it is AWESOME to swoop around in the air with the 3D effect. Adds an extra dimension to the game. Literally! ;)

  • could be a typo and might not last long or be honoured

I thought each manufacturer had their own system and they were cross compatible (Sony doesn't work with Panasonic doesn't work with Samsung)
Do these work on all brands?

    edit, seems they do…
"These new 3D active shutter glasses have a scanning feature which, when turned on in front of an active shutter 3D TV, will set itself to the right scan frequency and work just like the branded version. . … Better still, they are Bluetooth (Samsung) and Infrared (other brands) compatible."

Well just make sure your 3D tv isn't passive 3D. Won't work if it is.

      • Passive glasses are really worth 2 bucks.. I use the Real3D Cinema glasses ($2 Hoyts job) with my LG and works fine.

$12.10 postage to the Gold Coast.

    • $11 to melb, total cost for 2 was 16.50

  • $16.50 for two pair incl shipping to NSW.
If they're not that great not a huge loss. I've been meaning to buy an extra pair for my sisters 3D TV, LG Active Shutter's aren't too expensive but this deal is still 2 pairs for less than the price of 1 LG pair.

    20x 2.1 amp usb car chargers for 9 bucks also a steal…http://m.laserco.com.au/clearance/XBULKDEAL1

  • Cheaper than anything I've seen on Ebay. Good find!

  • Hope it would work on Sony. Thanks ordered two.

Thanks OP and Mako - 2 pairs of glasses and 20 car chargers for $26.40 delivered to Syd.

    • Haha, so greedy.

  • Done deal….

  • Pay Pal check out doesnt work ?

    • +1

I successfully used Paypal for my purchase. How is it not working?

    • +1

Have you ticked the terms and condition?

      • When I click on confirm order then it goes to pay pal and goes to my account page with recent activity :( weird ..
I have used PayPal many times

  • Thanks OP

  • Does anybody know if it will work with 3D plasma TVs?

  • The $10 shipping really kills it for me when the glass are only $2 Shipping should be cheaper than the item!

Never really liked laser brand as some of their products arnt great.

    • +4

sounds like your talking yourself out of it haha

If these RRP at HN for $99 and everywhere else for $50-$60 to me these are completely worth the price with shipping, just look at it as the total price, not item and shipping.

  • out of stock…

  • sold out?

    • yes

  • +2

That'll teach me to take 10 minutes to find out whether my tv was active or passive :( It was active :(

  • Thank goodness there was a maximum of 2 per customer. I hate to be cynical but often whenever good deals like this come up someone brags about nabbing a couple dozen and getting negged to oblivion.

  • Maximum of 2!!! That's fine until the shipping comes in at $12.80…..
    Bugger that….

Ozbargain logic: buy 4 because it's cheap and my TV is probably active 3D
Real world logic: I have 2 pairs which I haven't used since purchasing the TV 2 years ago

    so I didn't buy any…

  • It's still in stock just checked out with paypal, thanks to the guy above.

  • same here..got 2

  • Most certainly out of stock. I played around with the cart and added them, but at checkout I got:

"Products marked with *** are not available in the desired quantity or not in stock!"

  • +1

    Lammmeee missed it.

  • Has anyone received theirs yet? I bought two pairs and work close to Laserco.

    • Mine is still in transit with AustPost.

  • I got mine delivered just now

  • I got my glasses this afternoon

  • I got mine today! Thanks OP
They were way better than I was expecting.
The glasses that came with the sony tv are battery operated and run out very quickly so usb charging is greatly appreciated.

  • Got mine today as well - having trouble pairing them with my Samsung Plasma though.

    -edit-

Managed to pair them - had to hold them really close to the screen (15cm) and I had to keep the button down for almost 30 seconds.

I'm a bit concerned about the line in the leaflet mentioning pressing the button during viewing to switch between left image or right image first - how am I supposed to know which is correct and which mode is actually engaged?

  • Mine arrived but they won't pair with my cheap Sanyo 3D TV. Did some searching around and found that these glasses won't pair with most Kogan TVs. I'm guessing the Sanyo's use the same panels. Oh well, still cheap and good to keep around for my next TV upgrade.
