NetGear R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Gigabit Wi-Fi Router $169.45 Del. @Shopping Express

170
CHRISTMAS

Price wasn't as good as this previous deal, but still pretty decent if you are starting to accumulate a few AC devices & want to upgrade your router to the newest tech now.

Price delivered to Syd. is $169.45. May vary if you are elsewhere.

Highly rated AC router. Review & benchmarks.

Looks like there is a 2TB 2.5" portable HDD available for $79 (brand unknown) in the coming days. Should be ~$90 del. which matches the COTD deal.

NB: Code changes everyday at 12pm. 'CHRISTMAS' is only valid today.

PS. Yes it looks like a Dalek! XD

Enjoyz. :D

  • Crap, I just ordered a ASUS RT-AC68U from them yesterday for $30 more. :(

  • Can people please give some comments, feedback on this? best money for value AC router, or should I wait a while (I don't have any AC devices yet, so no real advantage till I have some and by then this tech will be cheaper?)

    • ^This. I've left my item in the cart.

Does anyone think this router is ideal for telstra bigpond cable customers?

Did some research Cnet rate it very highly but not as high as either ASUS router in its class.

        http://www.cnet.com/au/topics/networking/best-networking-dev…

Asus AC2400 RT-AC87U Appears to be the best AC router out at the moment and only was released recently but you pay a premium for it.

JB stock the netgear however apparently won't price match Shopping Express, if anyone can prove different i'de appreciate it cause I have some gift cards to use there!

It has worked perfectly for my telstra cable setup for 6 months in my two storey double brick house inside and out. I've taken all my expensive dlink powerline adapters out, I don't need them anymore. I highly recommend it.

    • I only have a few AC devices, but I bought it not for wireless speed but for wireless range.
This thing has great range and penetration. Before I was using a repeater for my 2 storey place because of the solid cement floor. Now, I don't need the repeater, just the R7000.

    Looks like a dalek.

  • I thought about getting this, but was put off by people saying Netgear sucks with their firmware development.

I still think this thing looks stupid, and you can't stand it up vertically, so no thanks.

  • Great router!!!

  • Code doesn't work anymore
