@ahc99: ok, learned something. that's why i was confused that the walmart gift card option shows up when i open the website.

        • +2

@wtuanmu: well, that's good, if it does works on ebay au, then i think i should give up cashrewards from now on.

        • +2

          @ce5himm:

i think what happened was, i was already watching the item.
so when the sale started, i just went in via ebates, went to my cart and purchased it.
It's the only thing i can think of.
          Either way, it worked. =)

        • +3

          @wtuanmu:

this might be a worthy of a separate forum post.. ebates > cashrewards

Did you manage to get yours from TGG already or have they told you there's no stock?

      • +2

i got it shipped.. current status is "Dispatched".

      • Wow.. Ordered yesterday.. Arrived today!!!
        Auspost thumbs up

        • Got mine too! Took a few days but glad TGG honoured the deal. I hope they punish those sales people who sell stock that's already been sold, wouldn't be hard for TGG to work out who's giving their business a bar reputation.

    • +2

it's 6% now.. with Cyber Monday Sales

Amazon is at 8%… with exclusions on Tools, Athletic shoes, etc

Any good bargain on a 23" (58cm) Wide Monitor?
At present I am thinking to buy LG IPS 23" 23MP55HQ-P from MSY at $167 but wondering anything better here?

Had previously asked about a rice cooker. One came back into stock I had seen earlier. Meant to be very good.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Panasonic-Rice-Cooker-SR-DE183WST…

Review here rates the smaller one (DE103 rather than DE183) as one of the best cheaper fuzzy logic rice cookers.

    http://thebestricecooker.org/best-rice-cookers/best-fuzzy-lo…

Appliances online (http://stores.ebay.com.au/appliancesonline?_dmd=2&_nkw=rice) do stock the smaller 103 (5 cup uncooked), but it is more expensive than the 183 (10 cup uncooked) so don't really see the point, as a fuzzy logic cooker shouldn't have a problem cooking 1 or 2 cups of its capacity. (the on/off cookers say they work better at half full, they have trouble cooking a small or large amount)

    • +2

      Nice find bought the 183

Anyone looking for a portable Spa then this is VERY good value for $450 delivered: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lay-Z-Spa-Miami-Hot-Tub-/17153141… I own the previous version and have posted deals here for it over the last couple of years and looking closely at this new version it seems they've only changed the colour scheme so it uses the same pump etc.

I can't recommend these enough but please read the write-up in this last Spa deal of mine as I'm very sure it all still applies: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/110022

    • +2

hmm..tempting…do i have to get plumber to install one?

      • +8

Nah, Plumber not needed at all. Here's a rough guide:
        1. Remove the 50kg+ Spa & Pump etc. from box (the vinyl alone is very heavy!)
        2. Lay out on cleared area (far better to put down 2x2m worth of foam tiles first!)
        3. Connect the Air output of the Pump box to the inflation points and inflate from the bottom up (takes a few minutes) then inflate the lid/cover
        4. Attached the Pump, Pipes & Filters (not difficult but see my guide above in my old deal with some hints & tips on how to make it so much more effective & leak free!)
        5. Fill with water. Spa takes around 900L so this can take a while even with good pressure.
        6. Switch the Pump & Heater on ASAP as it heats very slowly (approx. 1-2 degrees per hour) so it's best to set these up early in the morning so they're ready to use later that evening. Ideal temperature is around 37 degrees and as tap/tank water is usually around 20 degrees it will need 15+ hours to heat up!

Once setup & the water has been heated for the first time it retains the heat quite well when the cover is properly attached. The foam tile underlay trick helps this too as it prevents all the heat from being sucked out into the ground below. It runs at 2400W (10A) which is the capacity of a standard Power Point and keep in mind this will cost you about 50c per hour so it can definitely add up however it's all relative as a real Spa would cost the same or even more to run. Even at approx. $2-3 per day to keep it heated for a nice late-night dip these are exceptionally good value and as long as you follow the hints & tips in my previous deal above then I'm sure you'll be just as happy with yours… of course you can always just keep them cold and just enjoy it as mini pool too however you can buy mini pools for far less than this.

PS. These are a great size for TWO adults. FOUR adults as per the pic would be very uncomfortable even though they seem to be enjoying it ;)

        • @nismo: thanks for the effort mate, but ebay stock can only be bought with delivery option, as none of the postcodes validate any stock for collection.

no deal for me, gonna wait for the year end. thanks again

          cheers!

        • @johnnybravoo0:
That's strange, at what point does it not work?

    OK some praise for TGG;
bought a Sony KD55X8500B for $1525 delivered yesterday (now $2039); received a call 5 hours later to arrange delivery and received the TV today at lunch time A++ deal. Cheers TGG Lutwyche, QLD

    • +3

That's a very good price, I got mine few weeks ago for $1860 or there about.

      You will enjoy the TV.

    • How did you get such a good deal?

      • TGG ebay price $1695 - $200 max ebay discount = $1495 + $30 Delivery = $1525 at your door.
And 5x 4k Movies from Sony + 10x Blue Rays plus entrance to win a trip to New York and $100 off all from TGG.

That's is call a bargain in my books

  • +2

Any recommendations or comments for a 38 - 40" TV from one of the retailers in this promotion?
TCL & Changhong both have 3 year warranty which seems like a good idea.

  • +4

Cant get the link to work from qantas frequent flyer shop through to ebay for the 4 points per dollar. Anyone else having similar issues or found a work around. It just hangs at redirecting and spins around in circles

    • +7

So it's like flying into Sydney?

    • +2

Yeah, it did the same thing for me this morning. I just kept logging in and out of my QFF account and opened up new browser session. At point it did work and I was redirected to Ebay in no time. I reckon it's the online mall web script that has gone haywire today.

    • +2

How does QFF work? I guess its either cash rewards or QFF?

    • Rebooted PC this morning and used a minimum number of windows and tabs and it worked. Yesterday I wondered if there were conflicts from other cookies such as Cash Rewards which I'd earlier gone into EBay with.

Read the description, wasn't sure if it meant at 12.01am on the 2/12 or not which would effectively be after midnight tonight. Have a nice day though.

      • +3

to be fair it just says it ends on the 2nd, which some might think means midnight tonight

Just bought the Canon extender from TGG. Not a bad price with 20% off (and hopefully the 2% cash back. Almost the same as B&H in the US, without the delivery! Best ever genuine Aus price I've seen. $484.20 in the end (before 2%)
    Now I wait for delivery……

  • +4

Anyone else still waiting for their order to be processed? I chose pickup at TGG for my tv.

    • +2

I placed an order with TGG today around 2:30pm and it was ready to be picked up an hour later.

      • +2

hmm, interesting i might give them a call tommorow if its not ready by then.

    • +3

Yeah, I ordered a 32" yesterday and picked my local tag store which "apparently" had stock, called them 20 mins ago and now they're saying they are out of stock :(. So who knows when it will be available? You wouldn't think it would take too long to restock a tv…

      • +3

Sucks mate, i hope it doesnt take too long.

      • +2

I have to wait 2 weeks for my gopro.

      • OK, well I have my TV, a bit of a saga. Got Nunawading to transfer my order to Chadstone who had them in stock, went and picked it up this morning. Got the Sony KDL32W700B when it was at $395 less 20%, a lot better than when they jacked up the price to $548.

First impressions - only used it about 20 minutes - very bright screen (my first LCD as my other TVs are plasmas). A bit too bright for my intended use as a PC monitor. Resolution is OK for use as a computer monitor (of course higher res would be better), but just fine for regular TV viewing. Pretty cool how the stand can also be used to wall mount with brackets included in the box.

Anyway I reckon a good buy at ~$316 after discount. Can always use it as another TV if it doesn't work out as a computer screen. Didnt get any confirmation email from cashrewards about my order though, they also haven't tracked a lot of orders I made from the iconic :(

    • +1

      @KimTaeyeon

      I'm also still waiting.

When I placed the order yesterday the TV was in stock, and it stated that order was expected to be ready for pickup at 12:45 PM today.

I get the feeling that when I call the store I'm going to get the dreaded out of stock line.

      • haha, mine said it was expected to be ready for pick at 5:30pm, 30 minutes after they closed :)

        • Any luck with getting your television?

Interesting to see that TGG have now raised the price of the Sony KDL32W700B from $395.00 ($316.00 incl 20% off) to $548.00 ($438.40 incl 20% off)

        • @lovesabargain77:

          Still currently waiting :)

          Theres always today!

        • @KimTaeyeon:

It took two phone calls, but I finally spoke with someone at my local store.

She told me that they have been swamped with online orders.

TV is out of stock, however the woman I spoke with claims that they have some more on order and they should arrive early next week.

She then asked if I was happy to wait that long.

I get the feeling that they wouldn't have minded if I had asked to cancel the order (especially considering the price rise since Sunday)

        • @lovesabargain77:

Ah figures… but i must admit, buyers remorse is kicking in haha.

        • @KimTaeyeon:

If not for the bargain price that I paid, I probably would have cancelled.

Looking back I should have tried to get Appliances Online to price match on their ebay store.

They have always been good when it comes to having stock and I also could have had it delivered within a couple of days.

    • ordered a dryer from TGG at 10:05am on Sunday morning for delivery - it was here Monday at 2:30pm

If you have the ability to pick up do so - if you can't delivery seems ok with these guys.

  • +2

No bargains from Appliances online for fridges. They are charging $145-150 for delivery, no option to pick up.

    TGG win this round.

    • +3

Did you put in your postcode?

      • +6

more importantly.. add it to your cart (not buy now). You'll see the shipping will change to free.. there's some glitch with how their delivery prices are setup up but it corrects itself once in the cart.. same thing happened on the upright stove I bought..

    • +2

I think you need to put in your postcode for it to be free shipping

    • +2

Thanks for the heads up on postage guys.

The fridge I've been watching is still $56 more than it was during their birthday sale a week ago. Yes, that's including the discount.

AND, it is $81 more than TGG including TGG's delivery which means that TGG's still win this round.

For big ticket items that you've been waiting for, it really pays to know what you're looking at and not get too excited.

  • +6

If anyone is after a good front loader washing machine TGGs have the 8kg LG WD14024D6 at around $825 after discount (plus delivery). It's been Choice magazine's top washing machine the last two reviews (Sept 13 + Nov 14).
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Lg-8kg-Front-Load-Washing-Mac…

    • +2

Appliances Online list price is $2 cheaper and free delivery, bringing it down to:

      20% off: $773.60

      2% starthere cashback: $754.25

I think I'll buy this washing machine also…but the model is 2 years old (based on Choice's 2 year recommendation)…should I be concerned?

      • +1

Damn, really? Too late for me. I looked at Appliances online but it said postage was $150 for me so I went back to TGGs. Not sure what you mean by Choice's 2 year recommendation? I checked the November 2014 edition today and this was still the top one.

Anyone know when they take money from me?? A bit worried I did something wrong (not a huge ebayer and have never done one of these eBay deal thingys before)

Can I still claim GST on this? I want to buy a phone from TGG ebay store and just want to make sure when I go overseas next month I can claim TRS on it. Pls inform if you know about it, thanks.

    • +3

Ask them for a tax invoice that shows GST component. Im pretty sure one would be included when you get your box. I don't think a paypal reciept. would suffice.

    • +2

The tax invoice just like a normal web order with GST -
      no Ebay logo on it
It came with the product they delivered

  • +4

I ordered the note 4 from TGG but haven't picked it up yet. Can I cancel my order without any penalty?

Thinking to get the LG G3 instead; the price difference between the two phones is just too great for the ozbargainer in me.

  • +2

Picked up a breville barista express from TGG.

Very happy, who wants a coffee?

    • +3

Mate I'm thinking of getting one of these. Honest review from you? Will I be able to make a cafe grade coffee with it?

      • I've checked online and it seems to be the best machine in this price range, with the price down to a bit over 500 I couldn't say no.

As for the coffee well I'll let you know after I receive it tomorrow but even then it will take a while to get a decent cup.

        • Let me know ;)

  • +4

I've looked at a few items from Deals Direct and it seems to me they have added 20% to the ebay prices which is pretty scummy as its not a 20% extra for them, its 20% off for us.

    Examples:

    ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kids-Pool-Gazebo-/181492779539?pt…
    website: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/kids-pool-gazebo/

    ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/800-Lumen-10W-Rechargeable-Torch-…
    Website: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/800-lumen-10w-rechargeable-tor…

    the list goes on.

    • Don't buy from them. I have examples $130 -> $180 for the sale and also increased their own website prices. No DEAL here.

      • It annoyed me so I did not buy even from their website stuff your $2 shipping.

  • +2

Lots of stuffs are not listed on ebay compare to their own website. Or, prices have been increased.
