      • A matter of time…..

      • have you been chroming?

  • Can the code be used multiple times with the same EDR?

    • I'm interested in this answer too

Anybody successful in getting $20 off for $100 opal recharge …how?

    Worked for anyone in store?

So I decided to answer my own question - Went to my local (VIC) at 10:00am 22/12/14 and filled my trolley (Spend was around $140) and then as I was paying, I used my everyday rewards card and then asked the nice checkout operator to scan 'the coupon I got from a Woolies everyday rewards email' - She scanned and it came up 'code stored' but deducted no money.

She then asked for the service supervisor who kindly MANUALLY put the $20 discount though. I heard her say to another employee something along the lines of "Yep, I'm going to confirm this with the Store Manager now' and I quietly walked away! Thanks Woolies, Thanks OP!

TL,DR; It worked 'kind of' in store, but needed to be processed manually by the service supervisor.

  • Hm if anyone succeeded using this as the store let me know please :) Wanna get some $50 Telstra recharge if that's applicable :)

I am in Tasmania, and this worked for me online. I have a EDR card linked to my online account.

    • They all work online in Tas, even though they say they don't. Its just when you need to use EDR card at counter to claim the benefit they don't

  • nice! the woolworths online shopping site is dead

Everyone - keep hitting refresh frantically!

      • Goes looking for my automatic refresh extension, that'll fix it!

        • How do you complete the transaction when it's constantly refreshing… ?

        • Googles for "automatic refresh extensions" as I didn't know that was a thing.

          @googleyahoo69:

You would think someone with the username googleyahoo69 would know how to google by now :)

        • @fredblogs:

Lol, actually I don't have one but did years ago when I used Opera browser, I think it was a built-in feature rather than add-on. Either way it did come in handy on occasion.

In this particular instance I was just being silly though.

    • Yep.. dead for me too.

  • works on mobile app

  • Wow woollies gonna make a heap of money from the likes of things.

  • Woolworths what are you doing? …two hours with their website down. You are suppose to be Australia's largest retailer LOL!!

  • Working fine for me. So far. Trolley getting full, nek minnit - 504 error

Edit. Done! $20 discount applied. $10 wouldn't stack. Still have free delivery showing up on my card so. Win!

  • Any awesome deals of essentials I should be stocking my trolley up with?

    • I'm still getting the $1.72 4L Neapolitan ice cream deal showing up as a month ago

      • Link?

        • +1

It's the home brand 4l stuff. Posted the deal a while back and guess it's a local nsw glitch based on some of the replies.

  • 10 mixed 6 packs for $80 delivered, pretty good deal for Christmas drinks!

    • I've got $300 worth of alcohol from redeeming two of the Amex $50 off dan murphys deals so probably won't need anymore alcohol

    • Was this from BWS? I couldn't get Dan Murphy's to recognise the code :(

      • It was the american express offer where you spend $50 three times and they credit $50 back to you.

        • +1

Ah, unfortunately I wasn't referring to the Amex offer, rather this $20 off >$100 coupon which I assumed was what spludgey used?

      • Josaya, pretty sure the deal is this one (not actually expired despite being marked as such)
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/169660

Order ten six packs at $10 each then use 20FORXMAS to get it down to $80.

        • Cool, thanks!

  • I wonder if they accept print out. Didn't see this in my mail probably because I put no Junk Mail lol

  • Having the code or voucher is fine but if you are looking at prawns, hams or turduckin here is what i get when i put them in my b basket.

(This item is temporarily out of stock - Please select an alternative) that appears to be on most things that are on special or in demand apart from the rubbish food.

Turns out its what they what you to buy not what they advertise in the post.

  • How about 3 cases of Boags Premium and 500g of sausage mince - $20 = $83.50
    That's $1.12 a stubbie (or $1.06 with 5% off gift card)

    • How did you get the $10 off per case to work? I tried adding something from the deli and it didn't.

      • +1

Think it has to be from the meat dept

        • Thanks.
I actually got it to work for one case, but once you add a second, it reverts to $85 for two.

      • Only works with some seafood/deli/meat but not others
        e.g. chicken breast crumbed
        250g hoki
        Beef Offal Kidney

  • Hopefully the items will arrive before Christmas!

  • Thanks. Not sure why but delivery was free for me too. Got 10x six packs of Somersby Apple Cider delivered for $80. Works out at $32/slab.

    • I think it might be that every EDR card/account gets 3 free online deliveries IIRC

  • +1

tried online just to see if this would work
got "Sorry, you are not eligible for this coupon promotion."

    • Created a new EDR card and it worked once I entered that.

  • Thanks - worked ok for me with no email.

  • Nvm

  • Rejected. All recent Woolies vouchers HERE & HERE NOT WORKING in store

    Codes Scanned but not deducting

    • The 50% off gold products expired 21/12 .

Apparently they can manual override the voucher and deduct the $20

      • -2

I knew, but the "50% off gold products" doesnt work before 21/12 either…

but all manager do the manual override… I tried to use both and both get REJECTED saying its FAKE.

        A voucher should deduct automatically!

        • Fake lol.

The 50% off gold products was working online, try another store

        • +3

@strikerzebra: Imean "but NOT all manager do the manual override"

I'd agree both working online, but it's definitely NOT working at store

A manual override means it is NOT working

    • +1

code didn't work at checkout, but the store manager nicely applied the $20 discount for me.

  • +1

    thanks op!

  • +1

Thanks OP; made an order for huggies Nappies which are already on special and some basic grocerry stuff

  • +1

All I want is opal top up with $20 off, anyone done it?

  • +1

two x 1L gordon's gin for $90 (usually $48 at dan murphys) = $70 or $35 per unit….after $20 discount, (add on $10 worth of other specials like red bull for $6 for a 4 pack) and free delivery = good deal

  • good deal thanks

  • I wonder if we can purchase $100 worth of gift cards and apply the $20 discount.

    • Wonder no more, it's mentioned in the T&C's ;)

Offer excludes selected purchases including liquor, smoking/tobacco products, gift cards and selected services.

  • tried last night. The system didn't work and only gave me $10 off (the other woollies promotion). Talked to the checkout people who couldn't figure it out so just deducted $10 worth of items to make up the reduction.

    • same here, but checkout just say its only $10 and didn't give the extra $10

  • Successfully used it for Opal top up at Woolworths central this morning. They did not ask for my everyday rewards card; scanning voucher didnt work so the person manually applied $20 voucher after consulting manager. They are a new store and looks like I was the first one to try this voucher with them

  • Skype prepaid count toward this coupon? Or fall under exclusions, seeing as I noticed a sneaking in of the tag gift card - officially they're simply predated credit.

    • +1

addendum: Don't think I'll bother. Scanning voucher doesn't work, managers can be hit-or-miss, typically miss..give it a miss.

  • Worked for me thanks!

  • Cheers used it online, saved $20

  • I've looked but cant find it on here…can you top up opal online or is it only instore?
If so how? Can't find it on the woollies site either! Thanks!

    • Only in store
