Not sure if this has been put up yet, as i got the email a few hours ago. Not as good as the $109 they had previously, but hey next cheapest i could find was $129 at umart. IMO Good price for fast ssd! (it compares quite well to my samsung evo in other pc).

The WD 4tb external isn't too bad, either, at $159 delivered. http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/wd-4tb-usb-3.0-element…
I mean, if a crappy seagate at the same price gets 20+ votes, then no reason a good WD shouldn't. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/177304

    • I think that's more worthy of a post than this SSD as I'm pretty sure the Ultra II which is the replacement line for this AFAIK has been this price in the past.

    • Anyone know if this one can be cracked open to use the drive as a normal internal or is it one of those ones with soldered on USB?

      • I've cracked open a WD 4tb before. Can't say for sure if it was this exact one, but it sure looked the same. No soldering, standard 3.5" HDD inside.

My understanding is it's the 2.5" 'portable' usb-powered external drives that sometimes have the usb soldered to the drive, not these 3.5" power-brick requiring ones.

  • Probably better than the patriot blaze I bought yesterday for a few dollars less

      you'll regret that..

      • Why?

        • -2

they are just bad drives. you could of spent a few extra $$ and got a Samsung Kingston or a Intel ssd which are just better in every way.

          @Melbournebargain:
What evidence are you basing the bad drive comment on?

    • Half the price = 'a few dollars less'? Methinks not.

      • The 240 GB blaze is $6 cheaper than the 256 GB offered here. I'm guessing that's what he means by a few dollars.

        • @McFly:

Linking to a post I already know about. Not very productive.

You're making a big assumption that they bought the 120 GB. Whereas I am logically suggesting they probably bought the 240 for a "few dollars less"

How can you compare the $60 120gb drive to a 256gb for $119 and then say half price? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

        • @McFly:

In case you missed it http://edm.msy.com.au/29122014/online/html.html

From your own post. There are 3 drives available, unless you didn't read past your own heading lol.

        • Apologies - for some reason seeing double, got the 120 confused with the 240.
240 for $60 - now that would be a deal!

        • @McFly:

          No worries :-)

If a 240gb pops up for that price it will get OZbargained in no time!

          Here's hoping..

        • @nismo: Yes, it was the 240gb I bought for a few dollars less.

How do I get the free delivery? Shows 9 dollars for me

These guys never sent my $10 survey voucher or responded to emails asking where it is. Instead of a voucher, i get several spam emails each day from them. Have bought from them in the past but will be trying not to in future. I think it is disrespecful practice to expand their email database this way!

    • I'm sure it's not intentional. They sent me a free USB 3.0 drive.

      • Sent a few emails a few weeks ago so only conclusion i can draw is ignorance…

      • How did u get the usb?

        • I was given a choice. I was invited for the survey weeks before it was posted on Ozbargain.

        • @Make it so: what usb was it?

        • @madn3ss: Kingston data traveler G4 16GB.

    • Got mine, couldn't use it because of time restrictions - to short, was away at the time :-(
