      • +4

        And me :/
They thought I was some sort of terrorist, got quite snakey about it!!

        • Wait …. are you a Terrorist ?

        • +20

@TerryJustTerry: Wait… Terry is your last name Wrist…

        • @revolushenary: I can nether confirm or deny that….

        • -1

@TerryJustTerry: Nah, I'm a pot loving peace smoking hippy that would never harm anybody!

        • +1

Some say pot is rolling the dice… sometimes psychotic behaviours come up…?

        • @Rastafarian: you smoke peace….?
you realise your not meant to do that right?

    • and me… bit of a trend going

    • Don't they have to ship such gear along with you, & return it to you on arrival?

      • I had already checked my baggage and it was confiscated at the terminal security checkpoint. He said I could take it back the the departure area and post it to myself.

Thanks but ill pass i still haven't received my free micro usb cable from them lol.

    • +3

      same here

    • +3

I received the lightning cable late Nov / early Dec =D

    • I got it months ago :\

    • +1

Same, probably because I unsubscribed from their spam

    • u don't mean the lightning one? got mine ages ago

      • No i am positive e it was micro usb i don't have a iPhone and wouldn't even bother going to the trouble of getting that.

        • i got a lightning one for guests :)

        • the lightning one only does trickle charge. the microusb one might be the same. not worth the hassle

      • Lol mine was DOA

    • I got mine, it was a really crappy cable though…

  • Damn…I bought 4 with my $10 voucher and it still hasn't been shipped etc

    What to do…

    • +18

remind yourself in future to use $10 vouchers for something more worthwhile

      • +1

There wasn't much else to buy! And I didn't want to pay kogan…

    • resell it

  • +1

    Thanks, great post.

  • +10

Still waiting on my cable … So no deal

  • +4

Nice find OP, but yet to receive the cable or the $10 voucher :(

    And $14 is a little far fetched… http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/11-in-1-Multi-Function-Portable-O…

    • +4

'a little far fetched' is putting it mildly.
      They're routinely $1 or $2

    • obviously it's not a nice find as the seller has not proven themselves in past deals for you, and in fact has failed you!

  • +1

I received my free lightning cable, my S3 screen protectors and Micro USB cable from that free $10 voucher. Maybe raise a ticket via chat?

  • I must have been one of the lucky ones to receive a lightning cable from the last freebie.

  • yeah I got the free micro usb cable + note 3 s-view cover with the $10 voucher.. let's see if I get this. although I think I already have one somewhere

  • +2
    • +3
    • Well they already spam my inbox and have my personal details so what the hell… Time to save a (profanity) dollar.

  • +1

I've had a good run with Kogan.
3x $10 cards (accidently signed up with two other email addresses - glad I did!)
    Free USB cable
    Bought actual stuff from them

Raise a ticket if you had problems with past purchases.

  • +2

    Haven't received confirmation email yet.

    • +1

      same here

    • Me either. Although I did get my lightning cable in late Nov.

  • +4

They say its worth $14 on the give away page but are selling them for $5 on special

  • +1

Cheers, I'm sure it will turn up eventually! Received the free cable, $10 voucher (which I bought a couple more longer cables, all received), so don't see why this wont turn up some time… :)

  • +2

    I got 2 lightning cables
Both stopped working after a month

    • I hope those cables didn't damage your device? I'm not sure I'd trust cheap cables with my iPad, I need a new one though.

      • Na the device still working just stopped working (not even the message saying this is a 3rd party charger) … Read up about it and seen that the cheap ones don't solder the cables well so the cables come apart inside and no way to repair it apart from cutting it open

  • +1

Yea, took 2 months for my iPhone cable to turn up but it is free, you will get at least 1 email per day from Kogan but these can be unsubscribed.

  • Thanks, can chuck it in the front pocket of my checked baggage and just leave it there.

  • Ordered one

  • remember to check your email to confirm…Thats what they did in the Cable offer i posted last year

  • I'll order this one to sit next to the unused freebie one received 12 months ago.

  • +2

i never got my free cable last time. i'm not going to make the same mistake trusting kogan again.

10 in 1 tool stainless steel card valued at $14

ha ha ha $14 ha ha ha

    • I know, so undervalued

  • +4

Still waiting for my USB cable?

    • +2

      me too lol

      • i received mine about a week ago.

  • +1

did any body get their confirmation email??

    haven't got mine. waiting……………..

    • +1

If it's like the cable deal, they'll send it in a week or two… To make sure you don't unsubscribe

      • I literally unsubscribed yesterday… Maybe I have now re-subscribed?

  • Still not receive the free stuff from last time.

  • -1

Have 2 of these in a draw yet to see the light of day.

    • Put them in your backpack/car/bike/picnic basket/etc, then they might actually be useful. My friend has a collection of portable toolkits sitting in his drawer too, but he NEVER has any tools with him, so they are pretty useless! He says he has them 'just in case he needs them' - but they're never with him, and if he's home he'll use his huge toolkit anyway! I have a bunch of small tools on my keyring and have used them more often than I can count, usually to fix stuff for my mates-with-the-toolkit-at-home :D

      • -1

my work van has around 10k worth of tool all mine at my disposle for around 14 hours of the day and also at home i have close to a duplicate of whats in my work van.

i also carry with me a leatherman everywhere i go. i did have there tool cards one in my wallet but was sitting in there for ages and not touched which went into the draw, also my letherman rareley gets used but good to have it on standby.

        • That'd explain why you have no use for one of these then. I doubt they'd exist at all if everyone had immediate access to 20K worth of tools 24/7.

  • +1

Now i will have one for each room of the house plus the cars, cheers

  • Thanks, I hope, I'll get that, cos' some of their free stuff never reached my address:(

  • still no confirmation email, i wonder if Kogan are selecting only new customers to send out this freebie? i made a recent order so that might explain why

  • -2

    same crap promo by kogan

like the last cable promo which I never received

    • i got mine

      • got mine

    • Got mine, it was appalling quality. slowed charging to a trickle. Filed it in the bin.

  • Cheerio OP ;)

  • +2

still waiting for my $10 voucher

  • +2

I made he right decision holding off TA'sdeal. Saved myself two cents :D

  • +1

Last freebie did not eventuate. I don't trust Kogan on this.

  • I got one before and it was the crappiest bit of kit ever!

  • Got one thanks op

I received my usb cable and $10 voucher too, thanks kogan

  • +1

number 5788 still waiting on cable

add: Wow, naughts and crosses symbol = bold

  • Thanks OP :)

  • +3

Due to a lack of delivery, not only just to myself, yet other family members in different addresses, I can only feel that this is nothing more than email address harvesting and would go as far as suggesting a ban upon any Kogan advertising here, until they make good upon their promises.

In saying that, thanks goes out to the OP for sharing what otherwise would be a deal :)

    • i got my cable last week.

      • I'm glad some people did, yet from what I hear, most didn't!

        • 4 of us here got ours..

        • @Shaw:
How many do you reckon ordered them ?
400 to be conservative equates to a 1% delivery rate.
Abysmal performance in any customer service/retail based industry and should reflect accordingly upon the company.

@Kogan have lost sales from me due to this.

        • @086:

People have received this deal, have received the cable and the $10 credit. I received all 3. Why don't you call them, or ask on their Facebook about why you didn't receive anything,as oppose to you moaning on here.

PS given the size of Kogan, one possible lost customer won't phase them :)

        • @Spackbace:
Mate, what makes you think I've already not done as you've kindly suggested and their response plays part of my experience based option ? ;)

  • thanks OP

  • Saw these at Xmas .. Instructions were in Chinese and we couldnt work out what every use was ??

  • Man, they spam the crap out of me when I buy something from them. Took them ages to register my unsubscribe clicks.

  • $5? …

  • Got my four from the voucher… They're heavier than I thought.

  • I'll have a crack at it, just made sure to sign up using my spam email address so they can send as much junk as they like.

  • I have a 'wallet ninja' which is similar. Used mine today installing a dishwasher at a friends house! Had most of the tools needed but forgot to pack a knife to open packages and a flat blade screwdriver for the hose clamp - Wallet tool to the rescue! And the tool only arrived yesterday. Going to finish the day off with a beer - opened with my wallet tool.

    • Zazz freebie? :)
