Whats the best use for this gazebo?

      cheap kite surfing?

  • Cheapest i've found from ebay $59

  • Is this a portable one ?

  • Looks like the cheap bunnings ones, they have the 2.4x2.4 ones for 39$.

  • check the quality of the steel and the fabric.
there is probably a good reason (eg, quality, longevity) when you go to local market stalls all the vendors use 'oztrail' brand.

  • We have one. Buy it as a disposable cover for a function / party etc. Pretty poor quality but does the job just don't expect it to last. Ours had bent poles straight out of the box and had to return it for another. Metal is about the same strength as an aluminium can!

    • So its not the type with the plastic pieces joining the steel-foil poles, that breaks in the first breeze?

Geez that style gives me the irrits. Shouldn't be allowed to be sold. Except perhaps in countries where the wind isn't legal.

      • yes, thats why I said think of it as a disposable item. use it once for whatever you need and thats prob the life of it. All the cheapy ones are like this.

Been using one just like that (from the Reject shop, $30 if I remember right) for a couple of years now and still going strong. Excellent for camping due to being lightweight. Has served well even in moderate winds - needs to be pegged properly and add a well anchored guy line at each corner.

  • i have something similar. i picked it up off the kerbside. it had a couple of broken aluminium braces which i crudely repaired. i use it for working out of the sun. it's fairly flimsy. i put each corner pole in to a heavy outdoor umbrella base/weight and it has survived fairly windy conditions.

  • Doesn't everyone still have their $68 Coleman Hexagonal Gazebo from BigW?
Mine has been well used, and getting a little faded, but still going strong.

Weighs 21kg. What about this one?

  • These are junk, I bought some of these for $5 once (clearance)
The Frame is the most important thing with these.
