Good time to buy DVDs again! Thanks!

      You mispelt Blu-rays.

  • I missed the deal on the LG 60LB6500 when it was $1273 :( (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/169527), hope it's going down to that price soon.

    • This is $200 reduction from online price.
How is LG one comparing with Samsung UA60H6400? What is the price of this Samsung one?

I think DVD's have been 20% off for nearly the whole time since boxing day.

I think DVD's have been 20% off for nearly the whole time since the dawn of days.

      Fixed ;)

      • Nope last weekend were full price.

    • They were full price when I tried to buy some that I'd left in my cart a couple of weeks ago.

I figured OzB would tell me when they were cheap again :)

  • Wish there were some deals on the 32" TVs

  • Thanks for the heads up Trent.

Does anyone have an opinion on the 42in. Soniq TV? My Nan needs a new TV and just needs a basic, easy to use TV roughly this size. Ideally needs to spend as little as possible.

it was just added to their website if you want to see more specs

Dicksmith has had their 39.5in as low as 224.10 in the last few months. Probably does everything your nan would want. But the remote is a bit rough. When it comes to Nan's, excessive features or a rough or complex remote is their biggest issue rather than features. I'd go play around with some budget TVs in stores and pick based off ease of use.

I nearly bought it it last week glad i didn't, picked one up yesterday morning. Quite impressed didn't need to make any adjustments picture was crisp clear with good colour balance. Remote control has well spaced and sized buttons for the general things setting up favourites straight forward.

Haven't had a chance to set up recording/dvd units yet but more than happy so far and saved myself $50 which will go towards a twin tuner recorder.

        Thanks for the review.
Maybe you could give the OP a plus to say thanks.

  • Is 30% off Car Sound likely to included 30% off installation as well?

    • +3

No, but you'll find the quality of their installations will be around 30% off of what's acceptable

Just beware that JB are not immune to jacking up prices before a sale… e.g. couple of days ago Bad Neighbours Blu-ray was $19.98 (and included in the 2 for $30) but is now $39.98…

  • For those CD collectors out there, 30% off CDs, minimum buy of 5

      • Oops sorry my mistake

  • They don't seem to have most of the 2 for $X deals anymore (just the 2 for $40).

I had some stuff in my cart from last time the 20% sale was on (I missed the end date), and there are some that are a LOT dearer. They were all the 2 for $20 or 2 for $30 ones. Of the 2 for $30 ones, several are now discounted to $20 (from $25), while several are now over $30 each.

The 2 for $40 DVDs do come down to $32 though.

  • The Sonic 42inch Recommends to use a 32 GB flash drive is this a generalisation or a definate I was hoping to get a 64GB as Aldi have them for around $27 today.
Have people used a 64GB or more with success?
It says you can use a 1TB external drive so why would 64GB flash be to large?
