    (not really reported)

I would have, mods have a sense of humour too…

Thanks. Almost bought one of the large tubs of Nut Butter from Woolies today for $6, but didn't as I don't desperately need it. Knew a special was just around the corner ;)

    • +1

I wish I had your resolve.

      • +1

Yeah I stupidly bought the $6 big one too aagh!

  • Smooth? or crunchy? o.O

    • +1

      that's the question

    • Both.

Hi TA. Could you please make a combined coles/woolworths post of the top two specials?

    • +1

      I get it

      • -6

Unfortunately still a struggle for many.

Still s\he earns $1K out of it a year so not bad I guess.

        • What do you mean?

        • @Jar Jar Binks: Reference to the monthly awards that TA wins I think?

Would seem more logical to have a combined post of the few specials between the supermarkets rather than splitting them up and milking the upvotes.

I think this is the best PB out there.

But I was told it contained non-certified sourced palm oil.

So have been eating Dick Smith's peanut butter, which is pretty good.
    And palm oil free.
The sanitarium is palm oil free too, but really bland and tasteless.

But the Kraft one is a bit tastier.

Hmmm…maybe I like the taste of palm oil.

Anyways, cant wait till the change their suppliers.
I think I go through like 2-3 kgs a year, just for myself.

      Elvis?

    • +1

It is just fat when it comes down to it. And fat is delicious!

    • +1

Dick smith's is better a you mentioned. And it uses Australian peanuts not imported Chinese ones the kraft uses.

  • I only eat natty (natural) PB
    Kraft is full of crap

    • The expensive nut butter that also has sesame seeds is the bomb. Rarely half price tho

      • You can make your own and control what goes in… Plenty of tips through Google.

About a year ago I ate this crunchy PB spread on scotch fingers with a mug of milk on the side exclusively for around two months…its going to happen again…pls send help

    • +3

Goddamit why did you bring this up? Now I have to try that :(

    • Was the milk heated up or cold?

    • Slips thru on a technicality

Do you guys even report dupes via the 'report' feature, or not?

Simply commenting saying 'dupe' won't help clean up issues any quicker.

:P Report and it'll get sorted. Simple. (edit: I reported both dupes)

        Soz TA

        • aaaaaand I just learned something bizarre about dupe loopholes.

          apologies. Ignore my post.

I stand corrected, surprised, and baffled. lol

    • +4

Technically it's not a dupe but waiting 24 hours after the original deal was posted then taking some info from that post and passing it off as your own find with no reference to the OP is pretty bad.

Some people will do anything to get on the front page I guess.

    • Technically yes, though it's focusing on something more closely so skips through.

The particular deals it focuses on aren't overly interested to me personally though..

  • This stuff does nut taste good at all! too buttery

  • Awesome! ran out of PB a few weeks ago and bought nutella(on special) to tie me over to this. Now I just need powerballs 1/2 price, or I will discover if detergent in a dishwasher is even really needed.

Do any of you guys eat Spam?…I can't imagine what it must be like :/

    • Spam kimchi fried rice with an egg on top. Try it. It's ambrosia, food of the Earthly gods. Or koreans.

Or you could turn it into a Spamwich, either way, Spam is pretty versatile as an ingredient and there are a hundred ways to cook with it.

    • Try it then while it's cheap.

      • My mother pan fries slices of it and eats it with rice as a weirdo snack.

Gotta admit it does smell oddly good when she was frying it up. I remember liking it as a child, but… I'd rather not confess that publicly.

        • Since when is eating a rice dish, a snack?

        • @Jar Jar Binks: On weekends she doesn't eat 3 meals, she kinda eats more frequent smaller meals. So it's not like a main size portion of rice and Spam. lol she has odd eating patterns.

    • +1

      I eat Spamalot.

  • I dont get why Kraft doesnt make PB & J here in AU.

Are you listening Kraft? Make it, put 50% price on it, i'll buy it!

    • Cos its better separate. Buy a jar of jam and a jar of peanut butter and go crazy.

    • +1

I remember Smuckers tried it in Oz years ago, was called "Goober" and was horrible, and I like PB & jam, I think you can still get it if you look hard enough.

  • Spam as the bread and PB as the filling is a good paleo lunch

    • Kraft branded Peanut butter contains sugar, not ideal for paleo or strict no sugar dieters. Sanitarium has a no salt no sugar alternative.

      • Is Spam even paleo? lol

edit - I googlefu'd. It is. Here I was always thinking it was mega loaded with junk, when really it's quite basic. ha.

        • I thought paleo was avoiding anything in a packet? Also you might want to watch your salt intake (in terms of not getting enough … it's actually as a nutrient)

        • @Diji1: Paleo is basically the caveman diet.

I've never had spam but I've had canned corned beef. Is that the same thing?

    • Why the neg? I am curious as to what spam tastes like.

    • +1

nah, its different. one is beef one is pork (spam - spiced ham)
canned corned beef is good too, but expensive for what it is.

      • Thanks:)

  • Spam is the fav food in Hawaii and they are very 'creative' in its prep. I will not eat it.

  • Honest question. How do u guys eat your Spam?

    Straight from the can?
    Microwave ?
    Fry it?
