        They are literally the same monitor with the same panel. Only differences are the quality (and looks) of bezel/stand, the number of HDMI inputs (590 has 2, 390 has 1) and RRP ($40).

        Comparing a 24" Samsung monitor against a 24" Samsung Monitor is apples and apples, even green apple and green apple.

          Naaa man, more like Granny Smith and Granny Smith, just checking on sweetness of these two apples. If you ever needed to find out differences between two close products, this is it:

          Same product type (monitor), same brand (Samsung), same screen size (23.6"), same resolution (1080p), same weight (3.6kg) same warranty (3 years), same panel type (PLS), same brightness (250cd/m2), same contrast (1000:1), same response time (5ms grey to grey), same viewing angle (178) and same special features.

          Differences: Bezel, stand, menu interface, I/O.

          Also as pointed out, both have no VESA mount.

    vs D590 (the other $200 deal) - this has only 1 hdmi input (the other one has 2). That's about all the differences I could find.

    Keep in mind this is a glossy screen and so is the other Samsung monitor.

    Series 5 = IPS - Ad -PLS panel (advance PLS)
