    OP forgot price, its $999

So its Windows 8 when its in the dock then Android when you take it out? Sounds annoying.

    • You have to Remote Desktop into the base (which is running Windows and contains all the innards of a regular PC).

The tablet is a Tegra 3 powered Android tablet.

      • I read a review some time ago which suggested the remote desktop is very clunky and unreliable.
Frankly, I don't see the point of Android for a tablet intended for work purposes and prefer to stick to Windows, but to each their own.

        • No I think I will just say it's flat out odd. Don't want the Tegra 3 powered Android, just a solid laptop specs w/ windows 8 that I can lug around at home would do nice.

2.4kg just the tablet alone, seems a bit much?

Interesting concept though, I like it!

It's a 20" tablet when its out of the dock. Sounds completely useless to me. But good on ASUS trying some funky and different form factors :)

      • Yeah not seeing much use as a tablet. Part of tablets popularity is portability but 20"…

Maybe good for sharing family/baby photos to guests over a coffee table or something.
If the thing has active digitiser on the other hand… it would be brilliant.

        But ewwwww Tegra 3…

      • Hmmm, I think 20" tablet might be alright if you can have it attached to something so you don't have to hold onto it. I use my tablet/laptop with its stand in bed for movies or brief online surfing before going to bed, or even play some games while lying down on my bed. Though with that weight, it might break your teeth if it falls on your face…

Also, yeah, tegra 3 is so 2011/2012.

        • "I think 20" tablet might be alright if you can have it attached to something so you don't have to hold onto it" umm….. like the base/mount with all the pc knick-knacks in it? :P

        • @Forfiet: Nah, something more like this. Something that'd support my needs to check Ozbargain before I go to sleep. I can quit if I want to…

        • @AznMitch: that looks neat! a few uses for that….

  • going to need a strong selfie stick for this thing

It would look like this. Look at the kid with iMac! I've never thought I'd see something like this…

  • If only this thing had cellular capabilities. It'll replace my phone.
