I didn't even get my free one what makes you think id trust them with actual money.

    • You could hope they treat paying customers differently…

      I got my free one.

    • Same here , and chips and drinks from the nandos deal from kogan.

    • +2

I got my free cable and it lasted only 2 weeks

    This is bad quality wires.

    • +2

do you know where we could find the high quality ones in reasonable price?

      • This is something that everyone wonders.
Ebay has them cheap but you can't be certain that it would be decent quality.

I've always found the original cables for the phones and tablets (most of the times) to be the most decent, but they are expensive.

You sure it will be delivered ?
They are not charging $1 just to look at it on their webpage ?

  • I am happy with the quality of the one I received.

This is standard price on ebay, and less chance of being ripped off.
And they will ship it a lot sooner. Kogan ships from HK in "3-4 weeks".

    • Yeh, pay 30-40 cents extra for another metre as well.

  • +1

It's been $1 for at least a month now, I've bought a few for family members, I forgot I bought them by the time they arrived!
Quality ok for $1, but I really liked the Tikbro ones, decent awg. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/155747
    Worth double the money imo.

  • Cheap cables no longer work to required spec. I've actually even had trouble with great branded ones. Only the original or extremely good ones work well enough.

    • I used to think this was BS but i'm finding the same thing in practice a few times… like a Raspberry Pi that would randomly reboot on a cheap USB cable (!)

      • +1

But the Pi draws more than the standard 500mA of the USB spec., doesn't it?

  • Never ever ever ever ever ever trust Kogan ever again. Me, had a bad headphone quality from them while they're advertising good headphone (paid over $50 bucks for that —> turn out they gave me shit headphone cost around 5 - 10 bucks)

Never received their free cable one.

Sometimes they try to make the wrong price of product to get your attention ( in 2013 - wrong price of Galaxy S4 for around $400) and other products before.

well, other stuff, i'll let you figure it out =.=

  • poor quality

  • I bought this one from them about 4 weeks ago. Got it within a week. It works fine for both charging and data transfer.

  • I have one of these. Poor quality unreliable cable. The micro-usb end needs to be seated at just the right spot or it simply drops the connection.

None of the other cables I have are that finicky, and that's including the cheapies from Kmart and eBay.

    And shipping is too slow.

These cables are awful and aren't even worth a dollar
