        Gmail or hotmail probably blocked that's y. They want a non generic email domain. More chance it's not a fake account. HN are buying the right to send u marketing crap. They want to make sure it's actually going to someone who might look at it

        Yes, worked for my 2nd gmail account. Strange it didn't for my main gmail account. Not in promotions tab either. Stuff happens I guess, but all good now.

      Bought it for Netflix but worked for a while then the new updates just turned it into a paper weight. Having to turn on a phone/tablet/pc to cast just made it more troublesome.

      Bought the Meegopad T01 and is so much better.

    Been using appletv 3 and plex but experience is not smooth.
    Now chromecast support plex, i try to stream my movie from plex server, it went smoothly, so far no buffer during playback which appletv3 struggle.

    Will get another one or maybe 2

    Sigh, I bought 3 a couple weeks ago using 2x $5 vouchers (myself and my partner), total $38, $38, $43 = $119. Maybe I should return the $43 one and then buy another one at $38.

    For those wondering, I love the chromecast, keep it on each tv, and spare for travelling. However, quite a number of hotels block their hdmi slot.
