Noticed Masters has the Weber Q305 on sale for $420, which isn't a bad saving for the outgoing model.
Stock confirmed in Box Hill VIC 3128 YMMV. Set your postcode for pricing online to see if the price is showing at the special $420 price or the normal $619.
EDIT : Looks like there is no stock left and the Q305 has been removed from masters website.

Slightly different cosmetically, and grill plate come in halves I believe, functionality, quality of cook, identical.
Online support for cooking various food far outwieghs any other bbq, tip/tricks…etc
grill plate on the Q305 is in half as well, basically the Q3100 is the 'new' model. I looked at them side by side in the store and for the $200 extra, there is nothing 'new'.

Does the 305 have 1/2 hotplate & 1/2 grill rack? Is the only difference between this one & the updated one a higher lid, thermometer on lid & different ignition type?
There are two types of Q305 (check the weber au website). The 'standard' which masters sells and a 'special' that is only via weber stores.
I own this Q305 masters sells and its the 'standard' so its 2 x 1/2 grill plates, no thermometer and push button ignition.
If you want the thermometer its only in the'special' model.
Oh You can but a half hotplate from masters if you like.

Both 9 and 4kg are suitable. 9 kg will overhang on the back but if your not butting the bbq up against a brick wall putting a piece of wood under it will help with the overhang on the tray, if not people sit it on the side.
BBQ comes with all the leads and fittings needed, and the bottle comes with the correct valves.
That said I highly recommend you purchase a gas fuse which fits between the bbq leads and the bottle, at bunnings etc.

@Level380:using the holder on the side increases the footprint when/ if folding down trays. I beleive this price ends tonight and the 10% doesn't start till tomorrow.

Your comment saing the 9kg overhangs at the back, yes this is true, BUT the lid folds back. So you can't have the unit that close to the wall otherwise you can't open the lid. So its a moot point about the 9kg overhang. The Q305 has a holder for the 9kg bottle, it holds the top and bottom of the bottle in place. Plus 9kg are cheaper to refill compared to 4kg!

the Masters10 code didn't work for me. I think it's not applicable to appliances. This is probably categorized as an appliance.

About an hour after I placed my order, got a call from click n collect Box Hill to pick up my order from Hawthorn. Apparently all the stocks are held in Hawthorn now.
I got the same call too about picking up from hawthorn. But later received the Sms saying pick up is ready at box hill. Not sure where to go.
It'll be pick up at Hawthorn. Yesterday they had a few pallets of them for the Box Hill orders.
Hi All, I can confirm this price is only in Box Hill, Knoxfield and Northland in VIC.
Its probably because they are undergoing some changes in the layout of the stores so they are trying to clear out big and bulky stock

i was just at Box Hill (8PM/19th) to pick mine up and they still had a whole shelf full (>10) and probably more out the back. They also have Disney A4 colouring books for $1 each!
Just Picked mine up from Boxhill and there was a pile of them there for $420 not as good as the price online with 10% discount (got mine for $378) but still a good price.

Couldn't use the 10% off, but currently the Masters trade card is doing 5% off, so got it down to $399.
