does anyone care that you don't buy from HT?

      • +3

agreed, what has HT ever done? There pretty much an 'above the belt' store.

        • +4

You've stated this on quite a few HT threads already. Are you going to just keep posting this tripe on every new HT thread that comes up?

          • @Ndiddy: Exactly. You've stated your position on Dell and HT multiple times. We GET IT. It's looking like just a sad cry for attention and trolling.

Mate, if you are angry at HT for whatever they've done to you, please take it up with their management. Show them your guts!

PS. I didn't get that cheap notebook I wanted, but hey I got a better one shopping else where! no point waste your time and effect on some crazy specials. Better luck next time.

    • IF your going to say something like that you have to say why you don't buy from HT.

    • Any particular reason, bad customer service, faulty items…?

  • Anyone use this for voip with an ata? & is it any good?

  • Sold out whilst I was creating an account. DAMN!!

  • is the link for this product correct?

when i goto it .. it says product not found :(

    unless its all goneski now

I tried buying stuff from HT a ffew months ago, was never emailed, never contacted about the product until I called up two weeks later they said they can't sell it to me the price was a mistake.

it was posted on here, pretty pissed off.

then I went to the store to buy a SATA power splitter, website said plenty in stock, sales guy wasnt interested in selling me just two and said they don't sell them.

WTF, I said screw it, get the manager. He magically found two out the back.

guess they dont make comission off a tiny cable. I wont go back

Yah, I have found HT to be untrustworthy.

I don't know why people get so upset in these forums if someone posts something negative.

Why should we only hear good news stories?

I'm there are some forum members with vested interests.

at least back up comments with an explanation or something. just saying things like "but i never buy from HT" makes you sound like a troll.

i never buy from HT because they rarely discount their goods, and you end up browsing RRP priced items that have been on shelves since the late 90's, alongside the latest gear.

i might jest at this, but if you look at the software aisle in a store, there's probably copies of myob and quicken from 2004 that still have the 'min sys req: windows xp on pentium 3 or higher' stickers, still on sale for $499, just barely able to run GST (via upgrade),

HT's the kind of place you find the 33.6k modems just a bit cheaper than the telstra 3g hspda USB2 dongles, but still on the same shelf. it's the kind of place that, if you're technically minded, you know ebay or MSY would be 1/4 to 1/3 the prices, easily.

it's not pathetic as much as it could be/has been previously, but it's really patchy at times. for picking up a dlink/netgear router on a sunday afternoon, it's not bad. but so's officeworks.

for buying office hardware/sw licenses with an ABN/account, it's fairly expensive, but otherwise reliable.

Posts such as "I don't buy from XX store" are going to receive responses somewhat like "wtf? What do you mean?"

Next time, post something like "I personally don't shop from XXX, in my past experience I have had the problem where they….?"

        What made them untrustworthy?

        • Yeah I'd like to know the answer too.

  • I know they still have plenty of floor stock at North Ryde. Just go there in the morning nice and early and pick one up. Your last chance.

  • This is a good deal for $49..

Although; these units are prone to overheating, crashing and are generally completely unsupported by either a community or the manufacturer.

  • Just grabbed one from the Fyshwick store. Talk about good timing; I upgraded to ADSL2+ last week and was still looking around for a decent modem. Nothing even close to this much of a bargain on eBay or staticice. Thanks Justfrog.

    • Hi nhand42,
When did you get this? I went in today at 2pm, and found it on the shelf. Went to buy it ans was told the price went up, with the $48 ticket still on the shelf.

      • Picked it up at 5:45pm but I ordered it online last night (Sunday) with pickup rather than delivery.

  • Beware!!

I have this modem router and its WiFi doesn't work with iPhone 3Gs

    • That's odd, i wonder if it will work with other Wifi smart phones and PDA's.

  • This router has so many problem I would save the $$$.
