If only I didn't already have a drawer full of these, and if only I still used a landline telephone. :P

    • I can tell you those are NOT ADSL2 compatible, and will screw your ADSL2 connection. Can't say for this DSE one but I expect it's not Telstra certified compliant either.

For an inline filter I would recommend the C10 C10245M commonly sold under the Jackson brand.

The ADSL2 signal could be slightly degraded if you use a non-compliant ADSL filter. You might get a couple Mbps more from a better filter. A 10-20% increase is not bad for a simply changing the filter. But in my experience, changing from an ADSL filter does not guarantee any improvement; a speed test showed 0% improvement for my connection after buying a $16 certified ADSL 2+ filter from Jaycar — upgrading the filter isn't guaranteed to help.

I've seen a report that suggests that C10 was not as good as some others. www.warcom.com.au Additionally, the C10245 is not compliant, so definitely look for C10245M if going that route.
