70% off Arnott's Scotch Fingers 250g $0.79 @ Woolworths (2 Days Only)

Just found this on Woolies Facebook page. Don't think I've ever seen them this cheap. Seems it's all because of new packaging, but who cares at this price, right? Two days only. Ends Tomorrow.

Supposedly there's a new pack design coming. They're probably clearing out the old stock.

    • Looks that way. Time to stock up I reckon. Any idea how long these can be kept in storage LOL?

Can you put them in the freezer to last longer?

        • +6

Nope, kids still find them there…

Best place to last longer is in the medicine cabinet…

    • +1

As long as it tastes he same the design doesnt really matter

      • +9

What this usually means is that they will decrease the pack size whilst keeping the price the same.

I noticed they have just done this with Morning Fresh Dishwashing liquid !!!!

        • That just makes me froth at the mouth!

    • Old stock is expiring soon so it's been marked down and they made it taste better with better ingredients/formula most likely.

New Design, New Size - 200g
    Price Increase.

All the more reason to grab these :)

If you miss these only 11 cents more for the coles version which is quite nice

  • yummmy

The Coles ones are great at just 90c a pack. If it wasn't for the packaging and the fact that it doesn't say Arnotts on the biscuit (as I think the arnotts ones do) you couldn't tell the difference.

Their generic timtams are quite nice too. $1.50 I think.

Scotch Fingers is the best plain flavour biscuit so far, my opinion…

    • +1

agree.they taste like butter… mmmmmmm butter

      • +2

Thank god they are so good for you! ;o) ;o) ;o)

    • Not as good as Rum biscuits

  • could use these as a pie crust base

they should clear out the choc scotch fingers too - the packaging on them looks rubbish too! :)

    • Tim trans have the worst packaging

  • Camberwell, VIC: Still marked as full price on shelf. Scanned at 79c. Lots of stock. I grabbed three packets.

  • I actually like the ones you can get at Aldi. Tastes much better than the Arnotts and are a bit thinner that makes them more crisp and less stuffy.

Just tried these scotch fingers and imo the ones at coles are far superior. Woolies doesnt have the same buttery texture

    • They are also fresh

  • +1

The Coles branded ones taste exactly the same as the Arnotts ones so is an even better alternative option when the price rises.

  • apparently it is the NEW packaging (250g) Arnott's Scotch Fingers that are on special for 79 cents. So they're not old stocks…the old packaging are 375g (for $3)

    • Yet anytime the Government tells companies to change their packaging, for country of origin info or to say what ingredients are actually in the product, they scream about the cost

      • both of those sizes have been available for a while. the 375g ones are never on special.
the 250g ones i bought tonight have "NEW LOOK PACK Coming Soon" on them, so not sure if they are the new ones

  • Excellent, haven't had a scotch finger in ages.

    • +3

      that's what she said :)

Ah dinnae evun knoo tha' ye could use ye fingur.

New packaging coming soon, yet they changed the artwork on the existing ones to tell buyers…why not just change it and put the new one on special to familiarise the buyer?

Just bought 6 packs…at Woolworths Moorabbin

    • i think if the pack shape changes then new production packaging machinery needs to be designed etc. new wrappers would be a piece of p!ss to add to the existing shape.

    • I know, it seems an odd way to go about it! Oh well, never mind, on special is on special, so I've just bought 12 packs :)

  • Over the past four years, I've watched Lux soap shrink (and go up in price) to a minuscule size.

  • Brings them down to the same price as Woolworths brand scotch fingers that are made by arnotts anyway.

  • Sweet, scotch finger and tea!
I get a sugar high too easily!

Coles or Aldi scotch fingers are below average compared to homebrand, I stopped buying them and went back to wollies. Arnott's is owned by someone in the USA and thankfully still made here.

  • Sweet! Breakfast, tea break, lunch, tea break, dinner and supper all sorted for the next few months!!
