    it's almost 2 weeks since ordered and still not shipped.. I'll be inquiring myself tomorrow if I don't get a shipping confirmation email today.

    • so your order status has changed from 'on order'? im thinking most people griping here is still willing to wait at this price hehe. if its been two weeks why not another two right ;). ill call tomorrow too as to when their next batch ordered will come in this week and how many…they are so vague on the details…its like their own supplier isn't willing to give any assurance either. quite absurd really…i mean it would be reasonable to expect some certainty on the supply end right??

    • i did go to that same address, which was next day from the time i ordered the phone from the website. She told me to phone before coming as i wasted my time driving there…thinking they had it already in stock bwahahaha ….its just a guy(owner most likely) and woman(receptionist..)The place is a smallish sized industrialized lot in amongst other pc stores/ other small businesses around it. They are really set up just like a pc store, but not a display store, more like a warehouse. Anyway i think their main interface comes from their website…

        I think the Z2 has more LTE and 3G bands working for Australia. That's a plus.

        I think theZ2 is better than S5, no doubt about that. Better bands, waterproof, and better battery,

        The only question is an S5 in Hand might be better than Z2 in waiting.

        yeah.. spec wise the Z2 wins easy.. 3GB RAM, network bands, camera, etc.
        Unless you really like AMOLED.. That's arguably better a better screen on the S5.

    • Just ask them for a refund first, might be easier to resolve rather than going through the bank, they sound reasonable enough just oversold stuff in anticipation of delivery.

    i called just then and she said they're expecting a batch of 30-50 coming in on Thursday…30 had been shipped out already. Expecting/ hoping to pick it up then or Friday. Feeling hopeful…

  • Finally called them up. They have over 100 orders waiting to be fulfilled, around 150 iirc. They're getting around 40 or so this thursday/friday.

    Next week wednesday/thursday they're getting another 40 or so.

    All orders should be fulfilled in 2-3 weeks.

    Unfortunately, I'm near the end of the queue. :(

    Can't believe I missed that s5 deal. Great phone. Changeable batteries, more rugged. If a dual Sim s5 deal comes up (g900fd ) I'll cancel the z2. Are any more waterproof phone s coming out, I wonder?

    Its most likely as i guessed that these Z2s are more like old stock they need to get rid off come the z4 (psuedo flagship japan) announced last week, and supposed actual flagship (z5/p1)to come out q4 2015. Im suspecting this time next year, if sony keeps on track on its same scheduled bi annual releases, it'll be possible the z3 could be found at this z2 price next year….Sounds great for savvy buyers

          The Z3 isn't even much of an upgrade over the Z2 tbh. Not sure I would bother.

      I even think that z3 is worst than z2 in term of design.

        They're getting 30-50 stock this Friday then around the same next Friday. Depending where you live you MAY be able to get it overnight and have it by Saturday if you're in the second lot.

        BTW , do you think that the invoice will be dated during the date you paid right? Or they will match invoice date with the day the send the item?
        If not , then i guess it's not fair., after 2 months you can't claim your GST from the invoice

      • First time ever when I got lucky in anything. It does not have a dock it came with the phone and charger and earphones, also some special sort of cable and the usual manual and stuff.

        Transferring Data
        Just tried the Xperia transfer APp to import Messages, images etc, sweet, Everything transferred easily from Old samsung to Z2. Install the app on the samsung, Update the app on the Z2 to latest and a few taps to connect them together.

        Also I got the NuGlass Screen protector, The protector is really good quality came with fancy packaging but more than that it felt really good Quality.
        One small problem with the Screen protector is the hole for the camera is in the wrong place.

    I just called and was told I am near the end of the queue of almost 200 phones, and that Sony is only delivering in 15-20 phone batches either once or twice a week.
    I was told that I could get a refund if I wanted one (I guess they are in over their heads on this one).

    I was also told that I am at least 2-3 weeks away, which I take to mean 4.
    I ordered at 9:18 on the 16th of April.

    • Well, you are not at the end of the queue as I was at 10:23. I think I was literally last as it showed out of stock before I even checked out. Fortunately not in a massive rush so will ride it out. Some communication would be nice.

        I sent an inquiring email on Tuesday. Still nothing but the auto-acknowledgement.

    • i called again this afternoon because this morning the woman said to me they're expecting a shipment this week @4pm 30-50 pieces. NOW the guy says they're instead expecting middle of next week of around 20. Really disappointed at these inconsistencies and giving me the work around

      • MSY were out of stock this weekend. Nowhere else seems remotely near to this price.

        I am sticking it out. Thankfully not desperate for a new phone as I was planning to upgrade at end of contract in a couple of months but was tempted here.

        I just wonder why the stock is so slow as I would assume this is a price that Sony are dumping excess stock. It occurred to me that we may be getting a refurb hence they are working on them.

        Can people who have got them confirm that this is definitely not the case?

  • Now that I jumped the gun and paid $50 for phone protection (for 2 Z2's) I want to stick with the Z2.
    Has anyone found them for a reasonable price anywhere else that actually has these phones in stock?

    i had to bite the bullet…hope i dont regret it…just went for a z1C at DWI for $358 including priority shipping +insurance (mothers day special coupon code $14 off) . Honestly the wait (its been 3-4weeks) is not worth it, especially the BS coming from itestate. I just ordered with a pay and pickup so not so much of a hassle for me. But take a persons money without any assurance on the delivery is not on IMHO,especially when the item was specified INSTOCK. Disgusting…

    Enough of the rant. Good luck to all those who continue to wait…At least you have 1 less in the queue….even if i dont know where the hell i am in it lol

      • i did the first time…but they told me just to call first before i come in and check my order online which i have been doing since then. They gave an approx queue list because they cant bother to count ( how hard is it to put a numbered list??), which suggest they don't give a damn really… as long as theyre holding ur payment they don't care, they believe you'll just cancel and they'll refund the money, and disregard all the time and effort spent by the customer emailing them and following up on their order. Thats what you call customer service; its all about the 'transaction'

          But remember we got 2% extra cost from Visa Card which made us pay $6 more since their suck-ass web don't have any paypal payment option. If we cancel we lose that $6 dollar

          More over, those people hold most of our money for 2 months NOT 1 week. $ 340 x 200 phones= 68,000 ($40-50,000 perhaps with some cancellation + they have to pay the supplier fo every order which came out). It's like borrowing the Bank indirectly

          I never ever had kind of local OZ store which hold our money + item that long.
          We can boycott them by give a terrible review in every review available for them / sue them (which I think not possible according to their policy)

          Every store in OZ have to fullfill the ACCC, if not they will be screwed & I think ITestate obivously breach multiple of the policy "intensely". More than 1 friggin month for local stock…

          1. They should at least manage their web to be dynamic so if it's run out of stock, they will state it clearly and make customer unable to
            buy it from them.
          2. The refund should be made immediately if they think that they can't deliver the item in reasonable time. This will avoid dissapointment

          I don't think they will respond to your email. And for the phone call, It's gonna be hard to explain because you can't give the link to the web and refer to your order number. More over, let just say that they respond, I don't think it's not possile to report them because they did mention to you that you can cancel the order and give you refund.

        I bought it from "Phone dealer - Gumtree Adelaide". He has a few to sell @$499.00 with 2 years warranty & I managed to get it for $480 :)

    I phoned, the very friendly lady said I am near the back of the queue. They shipped out 40 already and expect to now receive 30-50 a week, so I should get mine in "2-3 weeks, but please phone back next week for an update"
