I was looking online to buy Brita Maxtra cartridges for my water filter. As I was about to buy their 4pk deal(which is already much cheaper than you can get instore), I saw this. Excellent price for over 6 months supply of the cartridges + the jug.

I saw their UK listing is almost $15 more(incl postage) and the listing states that it's more than 50% off, already:

      Ok just checked my old invoice and back in 2011 it cost me 39.95 for the same deal from Brita Australia.

      Amazing this is cheaper even with inflation!

    I'm not sure if this is related to the same product but first negative vote states they got 4 filters and not 6. Otherwise this is a great deal. Hope shipping doesn't break the jug.

      Adelaidian here. Great city, but quite honestly the tap water is completely foul. Reeks of chlorine. All my drinking water is filtered prior to use.

      can't see why people waste time, money, effort on filtered water in Sydney either. The ABC did a write up of this some time ago. I think it just comes down to people's paranoia.

          Absolutely correct. Although at this price you're basically getting a free jug, so you might want to get a new jug every 6 or 12 months.

    My question may be dump, but why not install a filter directly attached to the tap for as low as $128 and use it for the whole year. Change the filter once every one for two years depending on your usage?

    Does this product make any different? Sorry I couldn't find such information on the eBay listing description.

      six cartridges will last you for a year as each cartridge lasts 2 months.

      I am worried about bacteria growth and heavy metal build up in any filter after very long use. I think 1 year is just the sales talk, in reality it is much shorter lived than that. If your water comes from the spring where bottled water comes from, then maybe it will last a year. For the rest of us with hard water it will last much less.

    Would one of these be overkill if I already have a filter on my cold water mixer tap? I'm not that satisfied with it. While I don't get much of a chlorine taste, it still doesn't taste that great.

      Please allow around 10 -15 days. Some parcels are in different planes, vans, trailers and mail bags.. so they don't all arrive and are processed at the same time.
