Can Linux run Microsoft Office 2013. Can Linux run games like Battlefield 4. No, well there you go.

If you really need to run office you can run it through wine, otherwise use Libreoffice or Google Docs. If you want to play battlefield then you obliviously haven't tried CS.

Windows 8.1 Retail for 0.022BT - Google "Windows 8.1 Key bitcoin"… converts to about AUD$6.
Pro or Enterprise versions roughly double the price.

    • I wouldn't trust any offers like this. Especially if they require BTC payment.

MS can deactivate your Windows any time if your key is not legit.

      • fair enough. I use a macbook not even sure why I'm on this thread

    • That's so legit Windows 8.1 license, not.

    • The reddit site seems a safer alternative to me if going down that route

You couldn't pay me $49 to use Windows 8…

    • But then you could go to Win 7 (Pro) or Win 10 and have $49 in your pocket.

      Show me your OzBargain licence.

      • Haha but do they let you downgrade to Win 7 from Win 8?

It would also be quite a while stuck with Win 8 (and all its incredibly counterintuitive issues) before Win 10 actually gets released to the wider public and you can get it.

        • I've never tried (I actually like Win 8.1) but apparently Win 8.1 "Pro" can downgrade according to a comment somewhere above. I think it's a one-way trip but could be wrong. And either will obviously upgrade to Win 10. I thought 10 was getting close?

BTW that neg didn't come from me :)

      • I'm interested in how to get $49 into your pocket from this deal.

        • It's not a real deal, I was referring to clem's comment of not even accepting $49 if someone gave it to him to use Windows 8 ;)

        • @Click_It: Oh I getcha. You had me on my feet for a moment there.

        • @lostn:

          Easy mistake to make :)
