    • Can only order one at a time.

      • Thanks roughana - it appears it's per order, which probably makes sense as the cashback would track on an order. We are waiting for confirmation from merchant.

    • +1

Just letting you know that we've received official confirmation that it is per ORDER not per starter pack, as most people here expected

  • Hi PricePalTeam
I clicked Op's referal link but it doesn't let me sign up.
    Can you please help?

    • More detail about what happens may allow someone else to help you.

    • Can you please send us an email to [email protected] and we'll work with you to figure out what's happening. thanks

Can the PricePal rep please confirm if I need to install the PricePal WEB APP to get the $20 buddy bonus for myself? I don't exactly want to install the app if i don't have to for security issues.

    • Hey, no you don't have to download it as a referrer, but the person being referred needs to download in order for both of you to get the credit. (the web browser extension is not malware, it's safe and tested, and has been white-listed by major security software providers). Hope that makes sense?

      • Hi,
If I join up and buy the starter pack and also get the $20 referral bonus, what can I do with this bonus? I wouldn't want to go through the whole thing then having to spend $1000's to use the bonus as stated by cniminc.

Is this bonus a credit on future purchases, what's the minimum amount to use this bonus and when can I use it. I need to know this before signing up.

        • Now you need to shop something via pricepal which can give you $20 cashback.

  • @PricePal rep : Your referral bonus thing is not as good as it sounds. I got some amount in my account as referral bonus and now i need to shop for at least few thousand dollars to get my bonus in my bank account.

I think i should have read referral program properly before posting about referral bonus in OP.

    • Hey @cniminc, what it effectively does is doubles your cashback rate, we were hoping that was a pretty attractive offer.

      • True but it also reflects that one needs to accumulate cashback to get referral converted in bank account. So if i don't need to buy anything from pricepal but if i keep referring friends to buy from pricepal, i accumulate bonus which is useless.

So bottom line is, if you keep referring people to pricepal but do not buy anything for yourself, your bonus won't have any value.

        • That's correct cniminc, very well put. If you're planning on earning cashback anyway, then it's a pretty nice bonus for not much effort. If you're not planning on earning cashback, then it's probably not worth referring… (but I suppose you wouldn't be referring in the first place anyway!)

        • @PricePalTeam: I would refer someone if he/she wants to buy and get some cashback. Its not that i don't refer someone if i don't plan to use referral bonus.

        • @cniminc: Gotcha :)

    • Can you post the T&C for the referral program here? I can't find anything because I'm not registered yet.

    • Argh, I signed up with Pricepal because of the $20 referral credit (using your referral link btw cniminc). Does this mean that $20 credit I got won't be converted to cash until I spend few thousand bucks? If that's the case I will just cancel the purchase and account. >_<

      • +1

Bottom line is you'll need to have $20 cash back in your price pal account to convert your $20 referral bonus to bank balance.

        • That's lame. Well, since I already purchased the SIM can rep at least confirm that I will get $10 as referral bonus?

        • @maxhu: PS - send us a PM with your account email address and we'll be able to sort something out

      • Hi maxhu, the bonus gets allocated as you earn the cashback. So if for example, you spend $100 and earn $5 cashback tomorrow, we'll credit that purchase with a bonus $5. So you've earned $10 cashback instead of $5. If you were to earn another $15 cashback next week, we'd credit you with a bonus $15. If the cashback rate is say 5%, then you'd earn the full $20 bonus after $400 spend. Hope this helps clarify :)

  • Email received from Telstra re delivery:

Thanks for placing your order with the Telstra Online Shop – order no. PPSxxxxxxx.

    It’s on its way
We've processed your order and it will be arriving soon. Our courier will deliver it to the address you gave us or, if that's not possible, to your local Post Office. You can track the delivery of your order online.

    Security check
You'll need to provide valid ID (e.g. driver's licence, passport) to the courier to complete the security check. If you paid for your new phone, tablet or other device when you ordered it, for additional security you’ll need to provide the same photo ID you used when you purchased online. Once the courier confirms your photo ID you can take delivery of your order.

    What if you’re not available?
The courier will deliver your package to your local Post Office and leave you a calling card with the details. You have 10 days to collect your order, otherwise the Post Office will return it to our depot.

Remember you’ll need to provide the necessary photo ID at the Post Office to complete the security check.

    • Bought a couple yesterday with the $10 cashback. Arrived today. Had to send a photo of my drivers licence to the missus to show the postman proof of id.

Pretty fast delivery. Arrived via StarTrack

      • ya, that's going to be annoying. I have a concierge at my apartment building who usually handles all my deliveries for me, they won't have my drivers licence…

  • To be honest from my experience so far, I find PricePal to be much more unreliable than CashRewards when it comes to tracking transactions.
I've made at least 5 transactions using PricePal and so far I've had only one recorded.

I wonder if I'm doing it/using it wrong? According to the add-on you don't need to do anything. Just shop as normal…

    • Hi illumination, if you PM us your account email address, we'd be very happy to look into the missing transactions and help you track them down!

    • No sign of mine having been recorded either after 2 days. Already received the sim.

      • Hi wxyz234, it can take 2-3 days to record. If you haven't received an email from PricePal by tomorrow, can you send an email to [email protected] and let us know your order numbers (or just forward receipt) and we'll look into these for you. thanks

  • My wife and me bought two each through cash rewards, my account has been flagged 1x$8 and 1x$12 pending the missus has 2x$8. Anyone getting the same thing. I understood the offer was $12 cashback.

  • ive accepted a pricepal offer: Get An Extra $1 For Every $2 Cashback Earned - which I think would mean I should get $15 cashback for this

When does 48 hours for the pricepal/telstra cashback offer end?

    • Hi mrshorty, the $10 cashback offer will be extended until end of the week due to popular demand. The Telstra 50% off deal runs til end of the month. Re the $1 for Every $2 bonus, unfortunately that doesn't apply to bonus rates and the Telstra offer is a bonus rate. However, PM us your PricePal email address and we might be able to sort something out!

      • Would you be able to provide exact date and time of expiry so that i can update the Post.
Also, why can't you offer special bonus to everyone?

        • Hi cniminc, literally a few minutes ago we were informed that the 50% off offer has been unexpectedly & indefinitely taken down by Telstra, until further notice. This means PricePal's cashback offer also needs to be removed indefinitely. We're sorry for the news, but happy that we could promote it while it was live for a few days, and we'll let you know once it's back. Thanks for keeping the post updated, much appreciated!

        • @PricePalTeam: I'll mark this expired.

      • PM sent - strange because the offer for the Get An Extra $1 For Every $2 Cashback offer said it applies to ALL store and ALL categories

If you could look into it that would be fab!

  • I did a stoopid… activated the sim on my computer on the Long Life plan without thinking, and the wifi wasn't working on the phone, so by the time I'd opened up google play on it to try buying an app, all the credit was gone. :'(

    • dam.. but it's $2/MB (charged in kb) so you should have had at least 15MB to kill before the credit ran out.

      • Yeah in my usage it says I used 15mb.. just by signing into my google account (it kept failing) and opening google play. Oh well, only $3 down the drain as long as the cashback comes through, fingers crossed.

  • My order and wife's have been cancelled. I probably have more than 5 sims already which some I haven't used anymore after the 1st month. Fair enough. But my wife however only has 2. Still they cancelled hers.

    • Telstra has also instructed Startrack to recall all undelivered kits - see my post below.

  • -nvm-

    • that post was from a year ago hah

      • yeah noticed. haha.
edited the post before anyone else can see it. =P
looks like you didn't refresh your page or maybe i wasn't fast enough.

  • I placed two orders as part of this offer. Startrack attempted delivery of two sims -one on Thursday and one on Friday. I wasn't home to sign for them, so they left a card with my wife so I could pick them up from the local post office.

This morning (Sat) I got to the post office to discover that telstra had reclaimed the sims on Friday afternoon and they had been sent back. Tried ringing startrack and telstra, but no answer because it's the weekend.

Have others had their orders cancelled and sim kits returned at telstra's request as part of this offer?

    • Thats dodgy telstra. My 2 sims are still waiting at post office for pickup. I guess i need to pick them up on Tuesday at earliest.

      • I didn't find out that mine had been recalled until I got to the post office, so might be worth a call if it's a hard to get there - taking shows it has been picked up from the post office by Startrack.

I'll be calling Telstra and Startrack on Tuesday. If I don't get the kits, I'll be sending telstra an invoice for my wasted time and petrol going to the post office to collect something that they failed to deliver.

  • Has everyone who placed an order via PricePal received their $10 cashback? I'm still waiting on mine to appear on the "cashback Activity" page.

    • Received tracking email but estimated payment is September.

    • Hi iceshadow, can you please send an email to [email protected] with order ID, date and purchase amount (or just forward the receipt) and we'll follow this up for you!

      • Thanks for helping me chase this up PricePalTeam. I have just forwarded you my receipt from Telstra.

      • Hi PricePal did you get my email and receipt? Have not heard back or seen any updates.

  • Pricepal team - i have not received anything or updates in my pricepal account. I have sent my order details to your email.

    • Hi cnminc, sorry for the delay, there has been a bit of a backlog with many Telstra queries, we're working on it and will send you an email update tonight or first thing tomorrow morning! thanks for your patience.

      • No problem. Thanks for your help.

      • I received this email from support staff that they will contact Telstra and try to track my cashback.

Problem is when i put down order from pricepal, pricepal website showed pop-up that visit is recorded. So ideally i should be seeing my cashback in my account.

        • Sometimes transactions don't track properly at the merchants end, we'll PM you to explain in more detail…

        • @PricePalTeam: ok waiting.

  • I just got my order cancelled because they couldn't "verify" the information provided.

    • As did I, for one… I guess they'll get to the others in due course.

      • I called Telsta Control Group today. They want me to take 3 forms of ID to a Telstra shop to verify my identity. I need to do this to have my name cleared from Telsta Control Group flagging.

        • just out of curiosity, how many prepaid services do you have currently active?

        • Having been in to the shop, three forms of ID has suddenly become
          - photo Id
          - lease or rates notice showing my address (which I can't provide - will have to try something else)
          - 3 payslips

        • @Kenb0:

MyAccount is currently showing 2 services.
There have been a few others that have disappeared.

  • +1

Whoever kreats is thanks for using my referral link :)

  • Has anyone had a response from pricepal in recent days?
I sent a transaction inquiry on the 10th but have yet to receive any response.

    • Yeah i got two response. I m following up with them with cashback on this deal. They said it may take months.

      • That sucks, hopefully I'll get a response soon!

        • +1

Hi Blackrose, can you please PM your account email address and we'll see where the hold up is. Sorry for delay.

  • telstra asked me to contact them. i will probably cancel the order. dont want to provide those documents to them. never had any issue with other companies from optus to vodo to virgin.

  • Has anyone received their orders yet?

    • Order as in starter packs? Yes, i received mine long back.

      • Still have not received my SIM packs yet :-(

        • Contact Telstra with your order number - did you get the order number emails?

Some of us had orders cancelled to provide ID.
Some of us had orders recalled to base to prevent delivery (I have no idea why) - that were subsequently delivered after contacting Telstra about why the delivery failed.

  • Is anyone still waiting on their $10 cashback to be credited to their pricepal account?

    • I have my expected credits tracking. Payment of those credits is expected in September.

  • Mine got cancelled, but still haven't received the refund…

    • Have you contacted them yet?

    • Hi, did you cashback get cancelled or your order get cancelled? We can assist with finding missing cashback, but unfortunately can't assist much with physical orders being cancelled. Send an email to [email protected] with your invoice and we can chase it up for you.

    • Telstra order got cancelled.
Yes I contacted them and they said that they will issue refund. But they don't when it will happen :(

      • Hi, sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately we don't have any involvement in the retailer's orders, we're really just a click-through. Your best bet is to email/call them with a follow-up enquiry. Hope it happens soon for you!
