Just because you get some thing in the cart doesn't mean you have an entitlement to own it. Don't own until make successful payment and gets shipped out.
If they advertise a sale, build the hype and they haven't even updated their system to reflect what they are advertising, sounds like incompetence.

But I saw the expired deals here that Officeworks had them for $90 each back in February. I'm jealous. Well now I can finally do a backup, I've never backed up my stuff before…. My computer is a tiny micro atx case with no room for hard disks and I needed them. Hmm, I tried to log back in and cancel my order but I couldn't. I could've bought a Sennheiser HD600 by now. I was wondering, can one buy stuff by using the mobile site? I add stuff to my cart and they just disappear. After many attempts I manage to "keep" them in the cart and when I try to go through the secure payment part the site takes me back to the main page and everything disappears again. WTF! 0_o I wanted to buy 2 different pairs of Levi's Rimless Sunglasses but I might have to forget about that.
I was successful. Had to hit F5 a few times when it came back from Paypal. If you go this route and it says cart is empty, check My Orders as it may have actually gone through.

If you were buying the website, then yes a neg might be appropriate.
Product refers to the actual things that you buy. So if you get shipped something faulty and COTD do nothing to resolve the issue, then neg away.
ICB, for one to buy anything online first the site has to function properly and facilitate they way it should, isn't it? If the medium doesn't deliver what it said it would, to me that puts the blame on it before anything else.
Anyway, I didn't neg anyone (though I tried to neg the deal itself but couldn't since I am here less 90 days) but thanks for taking the time to explain things, mate.
The two options are changing to out of stock or negging a deal - if the sale lasts 24 hours the site is unusable for 99% of the time which does it fall in to? The rules need to be changed perhaps as a negative vote seems fair.
@DrStinge: Yes, the rules need to be changed for deals like this. But until they are changed, all these negs should be REVOKED.

For a big site like COD , I expect better. The opportunity cost of this wasted time for all is probably in the $1000's. If you wanna offer a deal make sure it works, otherwise don't bother at all.

To give you tip guys,, try open all product in each tab, keep fresh and add to cart and keep refresh cart too until all items are appear.
Then login and proceed to checkout.. it finally worked for me after 1hr fighting. What a crappy website once again..

Rubbish. Wouldn't save my cart (kept disappearing) then it finally did and when I hit refresh prices changed (went up! I was still logged in!) Then it lost my items again and now they're sold out.
Waste of 2 hours of my life.
It's unfortunate as there may be some good deals hidden somewhere if the cart didn't keep emptying itself. It's tough to post/see a deal if the site won't work.
I am able to get on their site on my iPhone (COTD must really fancy Apple). Quickly browse through a few pages of the deal, but none of them catch my interest at all. Most of the items are rubbish items waiting to be cleared of stock :/
