Original deal is marked as expired

Households have until midnight 16/6/2015 to apply for the electricity rebate

To apply you must:

  1. Be a NSW resident; and

  2. Have been assessed by the Federal Department of Human Services (DHS) as being eligible for the Family Tax Benefit (FTB) A or B at any time during the 2013-2014 financial year, and have received an FTB payment in respect of that eligibility; and

  3. Be an account holder of an electricity retailer, or a long-term resident of a residential community (caravan or mobile home park), whose name appears on the electricity account for supply to her or his principal place of residence.

The application submission deadline is Midnight 16 June 2015.

In case you're eligible but not the electricity account holder follow these steps ( from the website):
IMPORTANT: If you receive FTB and you are not the account holder with an electricity retailer, you are not eligible for FER as the retailer will not be able to match your last name against its customer records. Contact your electricity retailer to discuss becoming the account holder. Tell your retailer that the requested account change is only to enable your household to reapply for the rebate, and negotiate with the retailer to waive any fees or charges. Ensure your name on the electricity account is as it appears on FTB documentation, before you complete the rebate application form.
