  I purchased a yamaha home theatre in a box similar to this about 8 years ago. If it wasn't still as good as the day I got it I would buy this in a second.

  This is the basic entry level Yamaha system. It doesn't support lossless audio decoding (DTS HD MA or Dolby True HD), network and only comes with FM radio.

  I've signed up to OzBargain just to leave a comment of my appreciation.

  I walked into a HN store bent on purchasing the amp in the deal above - (well, just to suss it out, let's be honest) and I found a Yamaha HTR-5067 in stock (the last one in stock), marked down to $479, from $949.

  I got it from there - not sure if other stores are clearing out the amp as well - but if you go in store looking for this deal, definitely look at the other amps that are on offer!

  I didn't need the speakers, but was gonna snap it up at $399 for just the amp… glad I had a wonder around!

  The GoodGuys have @0% off on their ebay site on these, comes to $320 pickup? This a good price? Anyone comment on the value of these, ie good value for money ? Only after a cheapish one, cannot afford denon and then speakers :(
