    What's the OP's affiliation with Ventra?

    Ultimately, the stuffed toy is worth nothing and the movie ticket is neither here nor there. Is the remainder a bargain? I'm interested to see if Ventra is offering value.

      I already have hosting with them, but not affiliated - why ask? I saw the deal and posted it. It is a pretty good deal.

      That really depends, if you need or want any of the other stuff. For example currently you can get 50% off that hosting package mentioned in there $59 approximately for the two years.

    I'd rather take their budget brand. I no longer have my own web hosting, too much of a bother, but whilst I did, I found their budget brand http://www.zuver.com.au to be excellent, great support, and I don't recall having any downtime in the time I was with them. If you take away the "chance to win", plush toys, and movie tickets, you have what is a really basic package. 1GB of storage is nothing, these days.. Zuver is a better option if you are stretching the dollar.

      Agreed, switched from Ventra to Zuver as I didn't need everything that Ventra was offering, the only issues I had with Zuver were my transferred domains didn't get the new expiry but these were fixed pretty quickly.

    I have had bad experiences with VentraIP. They trip you up with special rules, that most other hosters do not have. I spent more than two years with them and managed someone elses hosting as well, and found them very arrogant with support. They have a lot of specials and that tells you something as well.

      Who do you host with at the moment? We're with VentraIP and although it's smooth sailing with us it's also good to have alternatives.

      Hi gregoz. You are correct in saying that we used to have a lot of "special rules" but over the past 12 months many of them have been removed (and pushed over to Zuver). We've also made huge improvements to our customer service and support teams with more focussed training and the hiring of our new Customer Service and Experience Manager who has completely changed the way we interact with our customers. We've also invested a lot of time and money on completely revamping our infrastructure from the ground up and I can assure you that 99% of our customers are now very satisfied with our service and support. Obviously there is always room for improvement but I can assure you our business today is very different to what it was 2 years ago.

        Hi Rep, I'm not familiar with your past but all I can say is that we're very happy with your level of service at the moment; it's a far cry from our previous provider. The only issue I have currently is that my Ventrasaurus is kinda lonely. Is there a way you can bundle Triventratops with your SSL Certs so I can cheer V up?
