Little side note

To all ozbargainers, please be as kind as you can to all Big W staff. Can you imagine them searching for each game in the draw then when they go put it in the cases, they go back to their register and see another 5+ people waiting in line just to do it all again with the next customer? You got some others who aren't interested in the deal (like people who have to get their digital photos printed) and some of them may get impatient. This causes big stress for both the staff member and the customer. Please praise them for their efforts as thats the least we can all contribute.

    Just went to Big W booval, no $3 games here. Checked out a bunch of Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles just in case, Nada. Cheapest I found was $59

      I overhead the lady at the counter tell someone on the phone it must be a pricing error. A couple minutes later a male staff member removed all the xbox one titles listed above. There wasn't many. He looked very pleased with himself.

      The Big W near me (Warrawong) state on their self scanning machines in the isles that they only display the full price and that the discount price shows up at the checkouts.

      Can confirm this is how it worked for us when we were there yesterday buying some of the decor glassware (pyrex counterpart) items, which were 50% off. Scanned at full price on the price check machines in the isles, but appeared with a message saying something like "discounted price will show at the checkouts", which is what happened.

    $3 is just dumb. I hate when stores do this. It should be a gradual reduction. $3 just means the ebay sellers will be out in force tomorrow morning. Good luck to anyone that actually wants to play one of the games that gets sold from Big W tomorrow.

        Yeah exactly. They trade in at EB for $10 which means they're worth $20-30 on ebay. It's a ridiculous clearance price, why can't they just slowly reduce them? There are games on that list I'd happily pay $10-15 for.

      It has been gradual though, all of the stuff listed here was in our first round of drop zone. For example, battlefield was $10 on ps4/xbone. This would just be a final push to get rid of what's left

        Sorry, Went to Mandurah. Staff member refused to give my friend the item in Warnbo and they went to Cockburn or Rockingham instead but no stock except DS and got 2. Another friend went elsewhere not sure where and they refused to give the xboxs.

    Can anyone take a photo of the Vita with a 50 buck price tag?

    Not too long ago, they were throwing them out for 150 and I price matched at JB, but the one I got was a dud, then they swapped it and that one was a dud and I got my money back. 50 bucks and screw it, I'll deal with a broken touch screen…don't ask.

    Anyway, the reason I'd want a photo, is because NO BIG W'S AT ALL, in my area have ANY Vita's in stock, so heads up for anyone who was gonna go to the Big W's in

        Last time I was at Eastland, which is my main one, a week or so ago they still had a fair few games and a couple of 8gig cards in stock. I'd go have a look myself, but I've got pretty well all they had, they just have the standard ones like Killzone and Ratchet & Clank anyway.

      Tried ringing pretty well every store within an hour's drive of my house this morning.

      Only place that had any Vita's left was Box Hill, and the guy claimed there was "like 50 people" waiting for them when they opened at 8am.

      In short, you ain't getting a Vita out of this, everything else is fair game.

    Just talked to two ACT stores on the phone. Both confirmed sale starts tomorrow and stores should not be selling at those prices yet, i.e. "I wouldn't want to be those store managers" - Store manager I talked to.

    Anyway, both stores said they have had 50+ calls this afternoon about the sale and have asked some staff to come in at 6am tomorrow to prepare for what is coming. Good luck everyone.

    Oh and one of them read out all the games he has going on sale and there were heaps more titles than what is listed here so far.

        Went to Gungahlin too. Only thing I managed to grab was "Lords of the Fallen" for $3. Luckily one of the staff was kind to spare it from his pile of games. On the receipt it says price overide from $59 to $3. The girl at the counter said the store manager told them to clear stuff now. They apparently had a few Xbox one consoles and some 3DS Handhelds that were priced at $3. So bummed I missed it.

      I raced over to Woden after I read Lucifer's reply and turns out the person I spoke to on the phone had no idea. The sale has already hit there; all XBOne games have gone, only some random PS3 games and some Skylanders gear was left. Damn.
