Little side note

To all ozbargainers, please be as kind as you can to all Big W staff. Can you imagine them searching for each game in the draw then when they go put it in the cases, they go back to their register and see another 5+ people waiting in line just to do it all again with the next customer? You got some others who aren't interested in the deal (like people who have to get their digital photos printed) and some of them may get impatient. This causes big stress for both the staff member and the customer. Please praise them for their efforts as thats the least we can all contribute.

    It is up at Karrinyup (WA) Drop zone is next to entertainment section and they had mostly 360/PS3 games like lay of us, cod ghosts etc.. Also had some ps4 and xb1 games, mostly COD ghosts, murdered soul suspect and NBA 2K 14. Also looked like plenty of skylanders swap force. No consoles for XB1 that I saw.

        No they were not put out at any rate - thy were still going through stock and putting more in the bins though so it is likely worth a go if your near. Everything scanned correct on the price checker there so you don't have to ask the cashier to scan 50 games :P

    Just got back from Eastland store, VIC. I left with 4 items, so not really worth the 30 mins of traffic.

    Nothing left on PS4 or XBOne. No systems at all, so dont bother.

    A few WiiU titles (Spiderman, Mario and Sonic Sochi) etc. Nothing great. Plenty of 360/PS3/DS/Wii games. Some okay older stuff, but mostly Kinect and shovelware. Had some Ipod cases as well as PS4/XB1 starter kits (HDMI cable, battery pack etc). All $3.

    They are in front of you when you walk in.

        I asked the guy in Entertainment - what's on the floor is it.

        There were a couple of copies of XB1 COD:Ghosts in the main area for $3, that's it. Unless you want a couple dozen copies of XB360 Gears of War….

    My local Big W had a "drop zone" but no consoles there and just a few games that scanned for $40 each. I went to the tech section and got the chick to scan a Pokemon 2DS from the cabinet which scanned for $148. The staff I talked to had no idea about consoles being on sale tomorrow, so it either isn't happening here or they're clueless.

      I'd say the pokemon 2DS they had was the ruby/sapphire one which is still full price. The one listed here would be referring to the older x and y ones.

    Are any stores in WA scanning at the reduced prices?

    I tried scanning at self scan and also checkout and both were full price on the games listed. The stickers are also full price.

    I'm guessing it's Thursday the prices go live? Can anyone let us know if they go live sooner?

    Heads up for those able to make it - there are 4 boxes full of these at the sunshine store, not in the electronics section, but over near the dog food.

    Took a few to the counter and they scanned at $30 - $50. Must not start until tomorrow.

    Well over 50 copies for x360 & PS3, and maybe 20 for xbone & PS4. Quite a few DS games too.

    Xbone games only included:
    - fifa 14
    - forza 5
    - dead rising 3
    - COD ghosts
    and 1 or 2 more rubbish games

    Was at Box Hill and the guy at the home entertainment counter knew about this but I was not able to get any as he said the manager said strictly starts tomorrow. At least 3 different Xbone console bundles confirmed in stock. I'm gonna be so pissed when I pop in at 8:30am tomorrow and find them magically out of stock!

      I just came back from Boxhill! They just have assassin bundle . Their system shown they should have titanfall bundle but the sales guy told me he couldn't find any lefe in storge room.

    I went to Southland store, found 5 $3 xbone games left, staff member complained that people were buying them all before the sale tomorrow, i said it was like the dick smith fiasco a few years ago, she said not the same if staff do it.     I am scared to think what tomorrow will be like. I expect the xbox ones will be picked up by staff. The problem is with games at 3 bucks, people will just take the whole tub to the counter and buy them all. Had they been 10 or 15 dollars, people might be a bit more selective and leave something for others.
    If you are in the hoppers crossing area, the big w there had about 6 or 7 2ds left. I managed to get one for 50. All the tubs were empty save 1 PC game that I already had.

      I agree. Greedy people will snatch them up and flog them on eBay. Other people who just want one game will show up to find everything gone. These sales are pointless, only benefits the greedy few rather than actual gamers.

    South Yarra: one 2ds bundle left. no discount Xbox one bundle. Few games left
    Boxhill: no discount console. Games sale not start yet.
    East land: one 320GB PS3 left $100. Very few discount game left. No ps4 games. No ps vita games/ accessories.

      I picked up the South Yarra 2DS bundle like 2 hours ago. There was none left in the case after the one I got so don't know if they had in the back…

      Bunch of other people there picking up 360, PS3 and Wii games. Hardly any PS4 or XBOne games. Think I saw one or two people with them.

    Western Australians - Joondalup had the sale today and when I checked (about 4:30pm) they were basically down to the dregs. The helpful girl at the counter said everything was snapped up pretty quick.

    Bought 3 $3 games and 2 Xbox One Fifa 15 consoles at Springfield Orion Big W QLD. Had a few more consoles left (no titanfall consoles), 2ds and plenty of 3$ games
