Tbh, 20% off isnt nearly enough to get me to buy from a place like Rebel, unless it includes already discounted items.
Rebel sports sucks! Yeah, sale sounds great? Wrong. The other week they had 40% off Reebok, 30% of some brand shoes, and a few days ago 50% off Under Armour shoes, which lasted only a few days, because they get rid of all of it to have 20% off lol.
Such a joke, they seriously wonder why people buy from overseas.
Only decent maybe in regards to some Nike shoes, they barely discount. Otherwise fail.
Sports sales in this country suck big time.
Regarding buying things overseas, i find that discounts are hard to come by in other countries, because you are only visiting for a (comparatively) short amount of time.
When you have Xmas/boxing day sales, rebel usually have a 50% storewide. At these times, shopping in Australia is not only more convenient, but its actually cheaper than buying overseas. Obviously, this depends on which country you visit.
This is actually worse than the 40% off recent sale as they updated prices back to normal before applying 20%.
agree…most things in our sport stores are overpriced! and Rebels is no exception.. 20% off is nothing!

Didn't realise this started tomorrow. Walked into the store today and they gave me the discount.
Depends on the store, I know the Adelaide CBD ones will start from 5pm on a Friday because late night shopping is Friday night.
Was going to go into Rebel tomorrow & buy a NRL team jacket which was normally $100. As I'd never pay that amount for that item it would be then down to $80 & I got given to me a Westfields $50 gift card so I'd only have to pay $30. Under the deal terms & conditions it states the discount isn't available on gift card purchases so I'll spend my gift card elsewhere.
That usually means that discounts don't apply to the purchase of the gift card - e.g. if you buy a $100 gift card during the sale, it will be $100, not $80.
Ok thanks, I misinterpreted what they meant. Looks like I may be heading back in there tomorrow.
