  • Don't forget the extra 5% off voucher if you are subsribed to their emails. Hope it's ok to link to buckscoop … theearth has compiled a great list of offers available today http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/jb-hi-fi-wicked-deals-15th…

    • Be aware BIG 60x60cm box of ~ 28 Kg

  • I posted this deal a few days back when it was on sale for $129, i have updated the post with the new price
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202641

    • Cool. I'll delete

      • not sure if you need to delete (mods?) cause my post was 2 days back so people just reading the latest posts wont see it.

        • NO, leave it up as it has great comments.
maybe just mark it "expired" or link to this post.

  • you have got to be kidding….
i just bought one yesterday at $129…FFS i might just return it for a refund and buy it again at the lower price….

    • +1

It would be funny if you go back but they've run out of stock so you can't buy again. Well maybe not funny for you.

I bought one 2 days ago, i called this morning about getting the difference refunded and they said they could credit me the difference on a giftcard. I'm sure they'll be able to refund me when I go in store

      • Well the gift card is a poor 2nd option, i will try my luck later today also.

        • Personally, (IMHO) I think a gift card is more than reasonable – they really owe you nothing. Unless its a generous place that has a return policy for "change of mind". I'd gladly accept a gift card.

        • @pinchies: When i bought the printer the guy said i can bring it back for any reason and get a refund, even if it was opened (i was worried it might be too big for my desk, if you see the size of the box you'll understand) so i think a refund of the difference is reasonable

UPDATE: I went back to JB today and they refunded the difference to me, ended up paying $85.78 after the 5% Wicked Wednesday deal

  • Heck, keep it, I'm passivley looking for an A3 printer to print out floorplans / tender docs.
This post allowed me to probably actually pull the trigger and buy one

    • The scanner is probably not the greatest resolution BUT it will be suitable for my application, especially since its A3

      • I guess it would be suitable for home or home office use. Depends how much it's going to be used.

        • I havent taken it out of the box but it is BIG…:)

        • @oz-dxer:

You'd expect that of an A3 size multifunction printer. Make sure you have a large enough desk with enough space.

        • @hollykryten:
It's massive, i set mine up 2 days ago. its about 4 times bigger than my old A4 printer/scanner

        • …AND how Costly to run. AND if ink-cart.'s are avail…

        • @IVI: check https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/202641 for details on print cartridges

    • I need one to check drawings before they get to tender stage because engineers are idiots.

Debating whether I can work from home too. Ie: will this do, or should I be going the route of colour laser.

Scan quality is also important, not sure if this one is ok or not.

    • Exactly what i'm using mine for, printed some floorplans yesterday and they're really crisp

      • This guy have problems printing A3 plans on normal quality & scaling? Any issues with yours needing to select High Quality Edge-to-Edge A3 print?

        Thanks

        http://www.amazon.com/HP-Officejet-Wireless-G1X85A-B1H/produ…

        • +1

I've only printed A4 at this stage as i forgot to buy blank A3 paper but i printed from Revit at scale with no issues.
I didn't set it to High Quality Edge-to-Edge, i just used the 'normal' setting but obviously set up scale and orientation

  • Sorry for the noob question, but do I necessarily need an active phone line to use the fax facilities with this machine? Or would it be possible somehow using NBN internet?

    • +1

You need a copper telephone line to use FAX on these machines. Under specifications it says 2 RJ-11 fax which RJ-11 is the standard copper telephone line modular connection. e.g. http://static.scan.co.uk/images/products/2126088-a.jpg

      • I guess I'll pass then, since I only have NBN connection, and not copper cabling.

        Thanks

        • No you don't. You can use an ATA device with t.38 support (and a VoIP provider who will supply you a fax service).

  • Also, add the 5% sign up email voucher thingy, takes it from $90.30 to $85.76, a real bargain

    • I presume this only works instore (not online for delivery)?

      • You presume wrong

        • How do you use it online? I can't see a place to put the barcode number.

        • @bleugh

          elaborate

      • You presumed right. There's no where online to do it :-( works in person tho

  • Bought at $85.76, picked up at Artarmon

  • Any idea how to use the 5% off code online? I have purchased, gone through checkout to payment, but no coupon code option ( I am choosing pickup )

  • Picked one up yesterday, thanks for that.

BTW, as others have pointed out - the box is BIG. It would not fit in the boot of my train station car ('99 Pulsar sedan) and almost didn't get into the back seat. Make sure you use the parcel pickup service so you can take your car directly to pick it up.

  • For those of you are worried about ink costs, you can install iblock ink system for this model.
