  • Made with the sweat and blood from the Chinese sweatshops.

    • I think with all consumerism here, no one really cares. same case as cage eggs/chicken.
slavery in 1950's, then Americans got rich it moved to sweatshop in Asia. perhaps when Asian getting rich it move to Africa or other third world countries

  • Don't do any silly thing with this. If it is made in China, it probably is very very toxic.

      what the?

First the "good for fishing" comment prompted me to by 5 pairs… (and now I'm thinking that wasn't a real comment…lol)

And now I find out it's toxic. haha

Anyone want to buy 5 pairs of gloves?

      • +3

      • +4

no…. but i can tell you where to shove it lol

      • Pass. Funny but… lost for words!

    • Unlikely, but considering their safety scandals (toxic baby formula, fake chicken eggs, fake milk… Fake Nike's, their sumsang and nokla phones etc.), it is possible.

  • bought some. thanks op

  • Great Find on the gloves OP!

  • Damn. I keep finding gloves, like these, that are sooo close to the ones used for Freddy Krueger's gloves, in the movies, but not quite perfect. -It's missing the red toggle string. (I'm making a replica glove.)

  • Am I the only one feel that the middle finger will go up??

  • oz bargained out of stock ;(

  • how long does staples take to ship? my order is still 'order received'.

  • These guys are awesome. Ordered Wednesday and courier delivered to my door today for a grand total of 70c lol!! The gloves aren't anything special but it does have some sort of leather on the palm side. For 70c though I don't think anyone can complain.

    • Well, having spent $7.70 for 10 of them, I did in fact just complain. The product they delivered is nothing like the photo they had on their website. Let's see how their service handles this.

      • exactly what did you get?

        • Very similar to this: http://goo.gl/uSZciB

Won't work for any of the applications I had in mind. The leather bits are so thin that thorns will puncture them if they don't just come through the thin fabric on the back. Stitching rather untidy.

The photo made this seem like a $5+ glove at a fantastic discount. Reality is quite different.

        • @team teri:

they are significantly different from what was advertised. they look like junk. no wonder they were so cheap. i'd be peeved as well.

thankfully my order was cancelled :)

        • It's not as bad as the picture and it's not as good as the staples pic. At the end of the day I'm not sure what you realistically want from staples. If it's not as described, all they have to legally do is provide a REFUND. Would you be happy with that? If you're expecting them to give you 10X fantastic full leather gloves, it's not going to happen.

I'm all for complaining about poor experiences, however there needs to be a reasonable expectation. I have a feeling you don't want a refund and angling for something much better which I'm afraid won't happen. It's still a pretty good throwaway glove for 70c.

        • @gimme: The material composition of the gloves I received is exactly like the picture: thin leather on fingers and palm, fabric everywhere else.

But then I was satisfied when Staples apologized and offered a refund. And obviously the gloves are worth less than the postage cost - they decided they did not want them back.

What would you use them for before throwing them away? I can't imagine many situations where they could protect my hands. Perhaps pulling out soft weeds without thorns, just to keep my fingers from going green?

  • Anyone still waiting for their gloves? I ordered these and a few other models last Wednesday…

    • yeah, first time using staples and i'm very disappointed with their service

      • still waiting. Bought a few different pairs of gloves. Got one type. Still waiting for others including the pig skin ones.

        • Thanks guys. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I too have only received one pair of cotton gloves out of the assortment of gloves that I purchased. I still haven't received the sewing kits either.

I feel sorry for the small businesses who actually use Staples to provide their business goods.

        • Just called them and they said the other gloves have been sent and should be arriving today or tomorrow (fingers crossed).

        • @apu: I haven't received the sewing kits or gloves that I purchased either…

  • i just got an order cancellation notice, even though i got it very early and their stock levels were high. very poor service from staples

  • I got an order cancellation notice today. I am surprise that when it was ordered, they said, 1300 in stock.

  • Got cancelled. Didn't get an email. Had to call to find out

  • Order cancelled. Very poor service from staples
