Hey TA, do you think you could pull some strings and have Francesca post the 128GB micro SD deal on eBay? You know, the one that goes for ~$70.
    Pretty pretty please.

    • with a cherry on top :)

    • -1

TA said don't request deals, you blind or?

      • +1

Sorry didnt know. Mod please delete if this is inappropriate. Ta.

      • He is not blind! Check the revision history and you will understand that it was added to the original post so that people stop doing that.

      • +1

Is TA saying: like my deal and don't question me, coz my deal is the best? :P

        • a deal in the hand is worth two in the bush

  • Wow, good deal and tempting.

How does this compare to the Samsung 850 EVO for the average user?
    (no benchmarks ect)

    • for the average user?

      You won't feel in.

    • +3

Don't think just buy it, you wouldn't notice the difference.

      • +1

Ok, just ordered one, impulse buy lol

        • Good man, job well done!

      • I've got nothing to put it in, since every machine of mine has SSD already. But I'm still tempted to do it anyway.

  • -1

any deals on a mSATA SSD? TA or Francesca?

  • -1

Wow! Well played NSW, well played. Us QLDers will get you back next State of Origin. :)

  • +14

you're basically getting this for a ridiculous $59

Only if you can convert the eBay voucher to cash

  • ffffuuuuuu… So ready to finally replace the OS HDD in my N40L for an SSD, but my primary storage drive started dying last week. Definitely a great price though!

  • +10

you're basically getting this for a ridiculous $59

No you're not. You're spending $109, but getting $159 worth of goods, so that's just about 31.5% discount, not 50%.

But, still a good deal! :)

As Tightbottom mentioned above, you're getting it for $59 if you can convert that voucher to cash.

    • +1

Also its one voucher per ebay account so if you already claimed it previously you can't get a second one

    • Use the $50 voucher to buy a gift card

  • DAMN, just got one of these for a laptop - a big upgrade over spinning disk

  • +1

    Don't forget cashrewards 2% back!

  • dammit! i bought it a few weeks ago when it was 109 from shopping express…

Make sure you remember to check you have a data cable for it and it fits in your tray so you can add that to your order :)

    Copy from Ebay:

To be eligible to receive the $50 eBay voucher, you must be signed in to your account on eBay.com.au, make a purchase of $100 or more (item costs only, postage not included) and select the Click & Collect at Woolworths & BIG W delivery option. Go to www.ebay.com.au/rpp/clickandcollect for listings offering the “Click & Collect at Woolworths & BIG W” delivery option.

  • no convenient location to pickup at sydney post code 2000.
    how come????

    • Woolloomooloo Woolies (Crown & Sutton St, just off William St) isn't convenient?

      • I was hoping city cbd for people working in offices

        • +3

It's a pleasant 1,100 metre lunchtime stroll through Hyde Park, between the Cathedral and pool, along the fragrance garden path, and finally a short dash through a smelly alley.

          But I understand a 2,200m round-trip marathon isn't for everyone.

        • @Thrift:
          Lol!

  • +1

Damn, i really want one, but no QLD:(

  • +7

i want it but my wife says no :(

    • +31

Get rid of wife. Get ssd

      • +4

If you get rid of wife you are more likely to get STD

    • +1

      Headache lol?

    • +2

are we talking about buying the ssd?

    • reply no no.

  • Strange when you search on eBay this listing doesn't come up..

  • +1

Any idea how does it compare with the SSD Ultra Plus like this one ($121) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-SSD-Ultra-Plus-240GB-Soli… ?

  • +1

damn, I bought this on the weekend at my local computer shop

  • -1

I'm hanging out for the 240gb ultra 11 edition.

This is not a request. :p

  • I'm getting no click and collect option? I have it currently unpaid any ideas?

    • Are you in either Syd, melb or tas?

      • Melbourne

        • Got the option on the app.

        • @crazynic:
Nope lucky to have an app WP8
Will wait till I'm home on pc

        • @Regie69:

Clearing and inputting the postcode again might work, I had a similar issue. Or change postcode to something else,, submit then change back again.

Also, there was a brief moment just before where the listing was updated so that might have caused the issue?

        • @nismo:
Got it working had to cancel and re-buy on PC, even though i did full site on phone?

  • +1

Bah, no QLD pickup=dealbreaker, nice deal for those who can get it

  • +2

Gonna use the $50 voucher to buy another SSD. BOOM WINNING!

  • For anyone with a $50 leftover from the previous eBay deal…you could buy 2 for $218 - $50 voucher = $168 = $162.96 with Cash Rewards. AND you get another $50 voucher!

    • +1

But its one voucher per ebay account..

  • A bird on hand is worth more than 4 in the bush!

And please stick to the deal at hand rather than request other discounts

    Any 1TB deals?

    • What about a bush in the hand?

      • Is worth two in the bird?

      • it means you have gone bush walking without a stick!

  • Too cheap to pass up
Edit: whhatttt after I checked out eBay is giving me a $10 code on an item with $40 min spend??

"Enter code at checkout, and pay with PayPal to redeem. Hurry, your coupon expires 5/08/15."

    Damn!

Edit: shifty, would have put it at $99 and no $50 voucher

  • No click and collect in wollongong… pass. :(

  • i live in the wrong state XD

i do have my $50 voucher that expires tomorrow though and nothing to buy, might grab one!

    • Are you living in denial?

  • I don't see option of click on collect in ebay website..Is it available only through App?

    • You have to be logged in to EBAY.

  • +2

How do you know if you've correctly completed the process for the $50 code. Like do you get an email or something?

    • If you were logged in, bought items totalling over $100 (after any discounts), paid via PayPal and only selected to Click&Collect them from a Big W or Woolies Store, then you've completed the required steps.

      Then:

Your $50 eBay voucher will be issued on 12 August 2015, and must be redeemed before 23:59 (AEST) on 30 September on www.ebay.com.au, after which time the voucher expires.

From the linked main eBay C&C post…
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/204417

      • Okay awesome, was worried when i didn't receive a confirmation email or something

  • tempting but the tight ass says no

    • Damn, would so be buying this if WA was included.

  • Does anyone know if I can nominate someone else to pick up the item?

Edit: just got off chat with eBay, yes it's okay. Now I can buy it and get my bro in Sydney to pick it up and send it to me in WA. Sucks to be in Perth :(

  • Thanks op, now lets hope I can get my OS on there easy D:

  • +3

Ordered one, couldn't resist any longer.. My first SSD!

  • so every time we make a $100+ purchase, we get a new $50 voucher?
Or is this $50 voucher thing a one time thing??

      • Interesting. I do have multiple eBay accounts as well as family members..

  • +8
    • +1

      Darn

  • -2

Can someone with authority please ask ebay to include WA so i can get this deal? Thanks.

    • +3

I'll give them a buzz in the morning.

      • Many thanks.

  • Is this compatible with 3.0 GB SATA interface?

    • ALL SATA is compatible with all revisions. Forward and backward

The fact that you ask the question means you know about 3.0GB/s and 6.0GB/s… so you should also know that they are all compatible.

That said, I reckon this SSD would have trouble saturating a SATA 3.0GB/s interface anyway.

  • +1

So very, very tempting. A great price.. Now that I have a 120GB SSD, I realise it was way too small.. think I'll hold out a bit longer.. but great deal though. Thanks for sharing!

  • Has cashrewards' ebay cashback always been at 3%? IIRC it's always been at 2%.

    http://www.cashrewards.com.au/ebay-australia#coupons

    • Yes, it is usually 2%, it only changed to 3% recently and is probably a limited offer.

  • Thanks TA, got one! Now to find some free ghosting software to transfer PC back up image onto the new drive…..

  • Thanks TA

  • Finally a benefit of having family in Tassie. Thanks TA

    • +2

      So… family with benefits?

      • Are they in Inceston?

  • -6
    • This is still a good deal, I don't think it's fair to neg for that reason.

    • They will probably have another $99 Amazon deal too.
But the $50 Ebay voucher is so tempting if you can use it.

  • Thanks, didn't know about the eBay promotion.. will buy a new intel SSD from PCByte and claim my voucher! Ta.

  • Really truly sincerely don't need another 240Gb SSD … (already got 2: msata and 2.5" M500), must resist .. instead, purchased one kingston 8GB ram + one 64 gb samsung evo TF card. Good time to upgrade my laptop and mobile storage. Thanks for sharing!

  • Sorry why not QLD? Free postage and click and collect at WW or BigW?

    • All good. not available in Qld when choosing a store.

  • Any reviews on these? Controller type?

  • nice just bought this - would rather pay extra $3 to have a retailer with a shopfront
