  • Nice! Just need to buy a SSD

  • Hope it's not the deal to end all SSD deals! :(

  • when does the coupon get issued?

    • 12th Aug

  • Thanks OP.
    Ordered one.

  • I got an email from Cashreward, it is only 2 percent instead of 3.

Edit. Logged into account it shows $3.27, which is correct.

I'm new to SSD Hard drives is this the standard size 2.5 inch, 9.5mm thick drive?
Also does it run on SATA III connections?

If you have a laptop that only supports SATA II, it would only run at 3GB/s even though the drive runs 6.0GB/s is that right?

This is cheaper right from Futu? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-SSD-PLUS-240GB-2-5-Intern…

  • Has anyone received their one yet?

    • +2

      Nope, nothing here yet.

Estimated collection date was yesterday (4th of August)

      • Yeah same, still waiting…

      • Same here.

      • any luck yet? nothing on mine either (4th Aug estimated).

    • I called EBay's click and collect support number on 1800 107 517; and they said you should of received the item yesterday, so if you didn't there are two reasons why, either the store didn't scan the parcel or the seller didn't send it. Ebay staff were worried that possibly I could of been scammed because the seller didn't upload a tracking number, but I give them the benefit of the doubt.

      • Hi aidenyo,

        Good morning.
Can you please confirm if you receive tracking details from us?

        Cheers
        Francesca

        • Hi Francesca,
I can't speak up for Aidenyo, but in my case my eBay still shows this:

Order is being prepared. Expected to be ready for pickup after Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015. Please wait for a notification from eBay before going to the store.

I haven't received anything else since the purchase.

        • @derekrak: Can you PM me your eBay user ID? I will take a look.

    • Hi michaellee117,

      Good morning.
My colleague on eBay should have updated tracking details, can you please confirm if you have tracking details on hand to track the package?

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • No.
This will be the first and last time I'm going to buy from pcbyte

        • Hi michaellee117,

Please PM me your eBay user ID, I will take a look at your order.

          Cheers
          Francesca

      • +2

No tracking here either. Still says order being prepared.

      • My order was marked shipped last Friday, however I have not received any pickup sms/email.

        Order status still says:
"Order is being prepared. Expected to be ready for pickup after Monday, Aug 3, 2015. Please wait for a notification from eBay before going to the store."

        No tracking details anywhere.

I'm going overseas in two days and am quite disappointed that Sydney-to-Sydney (collect at Strathfield Woolworths) shipment takes more than a week…

          Hi GalaxyNexus,

Can you please PM me your eBay user ID?
I will make a brief explanation on how CnC works. Generally what happens with CnC package —> we ship the packages —> packages go to an Australia post depo —> woolworths / big W picks them up —> sort them to selected stores —> acknowledge customer when packages are ready for collection.

The process can take up to 10 business days, in order to have an order ready for collection.

          Cheers
          Francesca

        • @francesca2148:

I understand the process is slow, but 10 days is a bit of a stretch for domestic delivery.

It took 9 business days to receive a package I ordered on eBay from a seller in the United States. Order was made on the 24/07 and the parcel was in my hands on 06/08.

It's been over 7 business days since the order was made, yet nothing shows up.

Considering the store (and myself) are both in NSW and supposedly within 25km from each other I find it a bit strange that people in VIC already got their stuff.

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet .. hopefully :-)

        • @derekrak: I understand that 10 business days it's quite lengthy. Do you have an update on your order already?

        • [@francesca2148]:
          Nope, no update yet.

eBay still shows "Order is being prepared. Expected to be ready for pickup after Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015. Please wait for a notification from eBay before going to the store.".

I haven't received any other email nor SMS.

        • @derekrak:

As of today mine still says being prepared, ETA Tues 4 Aug. I'm overseas so not in a hurry to pick it up though.

          [@GalaxyNexus]

          Mine finally arrived today :-)

  • I got c&c email yesterday saying it was ready, and collected it today. Vic

  • Got my email for click and collect this afternoon, and collected it straight away (Melb).

  • +1

Delivered 2 days ago, but no collect email/SMS. Strange

  • +1

Cannot believe this has taken over a week to ship something from Sydney to Sydney…..

  • +1

This click and collect thing is such a hassle… It looks like my tracking was added just today, but the item was delivered on Monday. Still no collection code.

    • +1

Just an update on my situation. I rang up ebay and i was told that there is a glitch of some sort in their system so the confirmation wasn't sent out. He could see that the item was scanned at the location. I was advised to just go there with your id and ask them for the item.

      • How would that work with pick-up locations whose script says "no code no pickup" ?

        • +1

Is that what you were told when you picked it up? Supposedly ebay could authorise your pickup if woolies/bigw calls them up according to ebay support.

I've just picked it up without a problem. All i did was show my i'd and i was asked to provide a code but didn't have one, still got it anyway. There was a guy behind me who had the same issue, which might have helped :S

        • @Hunga: just curious, how do you get the ebay contact number? I'd give them a call I guess…

        • @GalaxyNexus: i used the number provided by aidenyo from the above comments. 1800 107 517 no idea where s/he got it from.

  • I got my collection code/email yesterday. I am in Melbourne.

  • +1

Really don't understand how people in Melbourne is getting it before us when the company is based in Sydney?

  • +1

Just got a SMS to collect. Sydney.

  • still got nothing from Melb here, on eBay there's tracking number added but clicking on the link showed no event for this tracking number.

  • Same here, ebay still show being prepared. Call woolworths but they couldnt find anything, said to call back tomorrow.
    Im in Vic.

    • Hi Bennie,

Have you heard back from eBay?

      Cheers
      Francesca

  • Still have got nothing for pick up but it says this on eBay?

"With Australia Post for delivery today
    Aug-05-15, 08:21 AM"

  • Still haven't got mine, I emailed the seller, they just told me to wait for the SMS

    • Hi jd4free,

Can you please PM me your eBay user ID ?

      Cheers
      Francesca

  • I contacted pcbyte yesterday and finally was given a tracking number. Posted Monday, arrived North Ryde Tuesday, eventually re-directed to Alexandria, arriving Thursday. Funny, as I was to pick up at Macquarie Centre (North Ryde). I assume there was a bulk send out using the one tracking number, which is the reason a tracking number wasn't issued originally. What a funny business model. Maybe I'll be able to pick mine up by next Friday.

    • Hi barryquinn,

My colleague should have been in contact as in why the parcel was redirected. The reason it went to North Ryde first, and then back to Alexandria is because for CnC, the item needs to arrive at Alexandria. However, the sorting staff at Post office might not know about it and forward the package to North Ryde as they see the address then at North Ryde LPO, then the staff at North Ryde LPO notice it's a CnC package and send it to the correct location which is Alexandria.

CnC packages can take up to 10 business days, in order to be ready for collection.
      Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

      Regards
      Francesca

      • Explain the following. I assume because the item has been "delivered" that there will be no more tracking, and I will have to wait for BigW to email or message me. In the past, this has not worked. You need a new cnc model. I used ebay cnc the week before, and the company sent my item directly to BigW at Macquarie Centre. I received it within three days.

I've had CnC parcels at Big W, three parcels in total for the $100 CnC deal.
2 delivered really quickly, 1 a week later.
Looks like it gets delivered to the collection point at a CnC redistribution facility or BigW directly.
It's not PCByte's fault the tracking ends at BigW, it becomes BigW's responsibility to let you know when the package has arrived.
My tracking for two of the items also ended at Aus Post facilities. (different sellers).

To be honest, PCByte orders would arrive at your doorstep faster if you didn't choose CnC, they're located right next to an Auspost facility (been there before to pickup) and their free shipping feels like express postage.

  • Ready in 5 days? It been over a week and still nothing… Another store on the blacklist.

  • Bloody gave me an invalid tracking number… End up calling ebay support, now wait til next week

  • According to my tracking# it seems mine was sent to AU post office for collection when i clearly selected Woollies…. So not sure if I still get the $50 credit.

  • This process is shit

Tracking says delivered to Woolworths on the 4th, received nothing. Called Woolworths they have no idea. Shocking. She even tried to flog me off on the phone saying just to sit tight but I insisted she check their parcels

Edit: on hold on the phone they finally found the parcel after looking. The parcels obviously get delivered to Woolworths by Australia Post, it sits there for probably 7 days or more because no one can be bothered looking at them. Does Woolworths not have a procedure for this??

The lady said normally you get notified straight away once it comes into the store. Bullshit

No more Woolworths click and collect.

    • I was told they will not even look till Tuesday…

      This was for BigW

    • She even tried to flog me off on the phone

Is that another industry wollies are trying to break into now?

  • Mine shows still in transit was due on 5th Aug :(.

  • Still no notification from ebay yet to collect it. Went to the store and gave them my id to check if they received it but nothing…

  • I purchased mine on 3/8 at night. Was sent out on 4th and got the notification that it was ready to be picked up at Woolworths on 5th at 2pm so can't get any faster as far as I'm concerned.

    • +1

Purchased 30/7 - received notification today 11/8. Needless to say that's the first and last time using click and collect. Going by the tracking woolworths were sitting on it for over a week, maybe even literally as the packaging was all beaten up and squashed.

  • Purchased on 30/7 , called Big W Macquarie Park NSW for the past 3 days, still nothing

The Auspost track number from PC Byte showing "delivered" Status at Alexendria 6th AUG 11:08 and no more updates.

How can the system showing delivered when it is still in transit?

Delivered status should only be displayed when the item is actually received by the final destination…. Bloody useless …

    • Look at the other threads as well. You are not alone.

  • For those still waiting for delivery, hound Big W until they search their internal mail. Mine just turned up. Either Big W rejected delivery, and it was sent to Australia Post Alexandria, and came back in the internal delivery after ten days!, or Australia Post took it upon themselves to reject it. My mail label was also a little odd-looking:
    (My name)
    CnC BIG W Macquarie eCP:XXXXXX
    Waterloo, Herring&Talavera Rd, North
    Ryde, NSW, 2113

XXXXXX was not the actual identifier - I don't know if that could identify me.

    • Glad to hear you finally got yours!

  • Did anyone receive ebay coupon yet?

    • Everybody. Click on "my eBay"

      • hi, I checked my ebay and found nothing, where can I get the 50$ coupon? from the message box?

      • oh I found it, thanks!

        • Where is this?

        • @lnq: login in to your eBay account and look for "my eBay"

        • @lnq:

where abouts is it within my ebay? i've searched everywhere?

  • Ordered mine 3rd Aug, still haven't got mine yet.
Au post finally owned up and said they didnt know what to do with it so it was redirected back to Alexandria, went to BigW they tried hard to sort it out. just useless…
Clearly AU post did a great job of sabotaging this awesome idea so it will never take off.
I mean why would they want any real world competition thats just crazy….
I know i'll probably get plenty of negs …I dont really care really BLOODY typical Public servants at their very best once again, wouldn't last a week working in the "REAL WORLD" they have to use overpaid contractors (@ $55 - $140ph) to do the actually work. We should sack all the dead head losers and put in people that want to work instead , imagine that !
Yeah been dealing with them all my life across the east coast, i have seen 9 family members working at the same office.. WTF !!

  • Well it's been over a month and still nothing, 5 calls to Ebay to investigate and issue a refund and still waiting on that for 2+ weeks always with promises to call me back within 48 hours. All PC Byte's Ebay support solution is to check my Ebay messages thinking that I missed my click and collect message even after I send them screenshots of the Ebay page where it says that the order is being processed and to wait for the collection code.

    Guess it's chargeback time.

    • Do the chargeback. Easier and quicker as long as you've tried other ways.
