        • Just simply leave a message to the seller by clicking "contact seller" on the "more action" drop-down menu.

        • Thanks Diva I just received email confirmation to cancel the $300 voucher. Got carried away without reading the term & conditions.

  • +3

Terms and conditions spoiled the deal. I got excited for a nano-second.

  • Does Cash Rewards work if you click on Go To Deal above? (This is what I did…)

    • Probably not :-(….

      • A pity I didn't think about it…

  • This is strange,
I placed the order, and it says Order placed on Friday, Sep 25, 2015, and Estimated delivery Wednesday, Sep 30, 2015…

I thought the voucher expiry date is 30th Sep, so do I have only one day to use the voucher ?

Edit: Oops, My mistake, it is valid till Nov 30th

    • The expiry date is the 30th of November.

    • Vouchers may be redeemed for orders placed until 23:59 AEDT 30/11/2015 (“Promotional Period”).

      Reading is wonderful.

  • +4

Poor woolies - they keep trying to pay people to use their disaster of a website/ipad app.

    • i dont mind their website actually, yes even the new one… eh i get used to it. just used the everythign i bought list, and ull be done in no time.

When are we getting our $50 voucher from the recent "Spend $100 get $50 voucher" deal?

    • +1

Great point. But sadly it looks like they've timed this deal to end before we get the voucher. :(

Your $50 eBay voucher will be issued on 1 October 2015

      • Vouchers may be redeemed for orders placed until 23:59 AEDT 30/11/2015 (“Promotional Period”).

I believe you've got 2 months to use it

  • Anyone know if this can be used to top up our opal cards?

    • +1

Online shopping only,so no for Opal topup.

  • bought!

  • you can buy 3 of the same value vouchers. You just need to buy them individually.

    another shocker from coleworths….

  • +2

Does anyone know how can I cancel this order…
I bought these shit without check ozbargain…

    • Just simply leave a message to the seller by clicking "contact seller" on the "more action" drop-down menu. I just did and got refunded already.

  • Does Woolworths still do free delivery for new users?

    • +1

      Yes they sure do

  • -1

Oh sod it!! Stupidly rushed in thinking it was for Wish cards and bought one of each voucher (and persuaded GF to buy 2 x $300). There's no way I can spend $200, let alone $300 in one shop. Also only get 2 months to spend it all. Bugger.

    • See my reply to Symeteor above.

      • Ta. I did email them directly, but also just did what you said.

        • Yep, they'll refund. Pretty happy with that considering it was my mistake.

  • This is a disgrace! How can a company offer you a discount, take your money, then tell you that you must use it all at once and within a certain amount of time, or they will keep your money! Shysters!!! They can stick this deal where the sun doesn't shine!

    • +1

To be fair, they do state the conditions up front (but it is a sh*t condition).

      • Like that poor person who lost their car deposit because they didn't get finance finalised within two weeks. Yes, they state the conditions up front, but it's hardly fair.

        • +1

Well if you dont like the deal - heres an idea DONT BUY IT

        • @ninetyNineCents: I thought that was inferred by my comment ???

        • @divergent:

Yes but your wording seemed to imply they take your money THEN they share the limitations.

    • +1

Did you read the eBay description?

      • Corse not. Just jumped in and bought them like a complete eBay rookie. :-)

    • you should be able to return items for a refund

  • typical woolworths rip offs

  • Note when buying vege at Woolies especially broccoli - the price on their web site is per PIECE, not per kg.

  • +6

I know the deal isn't for everyone, but I buy for a family of 5 and typically spend $200+ a week. So if you are feeding (and cleaning) a family, I think it's a good deal. Good for stocking up on items we all need and will keep, ie; Toilet paper, laundry and dish detergent and other cleaning supplies. Also bulk meat to freeze!

  • +1

Anyone had there vouncher emailed yet two days now and still waiting i want to use it now not when they are ready to give it.

  • Given this is a "voucher" code, does this mean anyone who doesn't have a delivery saver account will have to pay $9 delivery even when spending over $300? ie. an order of $300.01 becomes $0.01 once the voucher is applied and therefore free delivery vanishes?

    • I was wondering too. And now there is some neg fb on their fb page confirming that with the code the delivery fee will be higher… :(

  • On cash rewards, I have a first-time offer to get a $20 cashback if I spend a minimum of $120. Does anybody know if this can be applied at the same time as the ebay voucher?
    Thanks.

  • good deal for me as i usually only purchased there specials via click and collect

How does the negative vote system in ebay work? This morning when I followed user triever link a couple of comments above, there was about eight negative feedback scores attached to the deal. Now, they have magically disappeared. How do all the negative feedback scores simply disappear?

    • i would say this is ebay marketing ploy trying to win a new customer, cumulative they have sold over $1 million in vouchers, to ebay even at 2 or 3 % that is alot of $$$

its in ebays best interest for woolworths to stay on

i still havent received mine which is super poor form

    • Definitely an eBay supported seller.

They generally give special privileges to the big guys which include removing negs etc

    • I only noticed one, and it also magically disappeared. I think it might be because they say it takes 5 days, and for those who bought the vouchers on Saturday the last day would be today, and it is not over yet. I tried to contact them clicking on "I haven't received my item yet", and eBay automatically said it might still arrive today, as the day is not over yet. So I assume W contacted eBay and told them the neg fb was "unfair feedback" because the day is not over yet. (I did not leave any fb yet though. Actually I am going to wait until I use the code to see if it works!) They are certainly quick to contact eBay to complain about unfair feedback - quicker than they are to send out the codes!

PS: I contacted them the normal way (not "I haven't received….) and this is what they said:
Thank you for contacting us regarding your purchase.
We can confirm that the voucher will be emailed to you within 5 days, as stated in our terms and conditions.
Due to the processing times between PayPal, eBay, and Woolworths Online, we are unable to send the voucher immediately.

Well, tomorrow the 5 days are over. They might work until late due to the many vouchers they have to send, so I will wait until tomorrow. But if it doesn't arrive….

      • I have seen up to 17 negative reviews over the last 6 days, but everytime I check back they have been reset to zero - the build up quickly though, it won't take you long to see the dissappearing act in action.

        • I don't think that now the reviews will be deleted because now people have the right to complain as it is past the 5 days. All the neg fb I have seen today is still there, but only from today.

        • @OzBargainGrabber: They sold over 10,000 vouchers, they have 161 positives and 32 negative feedbacks. How many neg reviews did they delete already? I finally registered my neg review, as I still have no voucher.

        • @nikkirose:
They probably deleted about 10-15. They now have 35 neg reviews, so the total number would be about 45-50. I am not sure if those who wrote neg reviews that have been deleted can leave a new neg review once it is obvious they didn't get the voucher by the time they should have. I hope they can.

        • @OzBargainGrabber: they deleted a lot more than 10-15. I regularly have been checking their page for days, once the neg reviews went over 10, they disappeared, again and again. I would have witnessed about 50-60 disappear, and that is checking twice a day, I am sure a lot more were disappeared than just the ones I saw.

        • @nikkirose:
Ebay gets 10%, so they made a lot of money with these 10,000 vouchers and probably thought that too many neg reviews would deter customers as long as the promo was still going. :(

  • Dink.

  • Anybody received their vouchers yet?

  • -2

i was about to buy $1000 worth of these vouchers, till i read , that you cant used them multiple times?! WTF!?

i use 100 on my $300 card and lose $200?

    right! NO THANKS!

  • Bought some - realised the conditions (and that they're not Wish Cards). Asked seller for cancel & refund. They kindly said ok. Got eBay refund email.

Now I get another email saying they won't cancel as per conditions. WTF.

The refund has already gone through PayPal onto my credit card. The phrase 'ar*e from elbow' springs to mind.

    • Oh, I know what's happened. I originally sent a request to cancel the auction by email direct to the Woolies address. That's the answer I just got. I also did a request to cancel through eBay which has been done.

      So it's fine.

  • How this is not just an instantaneous voucher to your email address?

I have a decent woolworths online shop i'm hovering over the checkout button for and was going to buy one of these vouchers, but it sounds like they are going to post it out???

    I can't even.

    • It does say they email it, but they usually use third party companies for these things and you're kind of at their mercy as to how fast they are. Lots of dodgy marketing firms get involved in this area (like with cashbacks).

  • Bought two of the $100 gift cards and used cashrewards, lets see how this goes

  • Im now thinking that they are waiting for the ebay auction to end, then they will process them all at once in a batch,

  • Bought a $300 voucher on Sunday, still waiting for the email voucher on Tuesday…
    Has anyone received theirs yet?

    • +1

No… I really hope to get it today. I bought mine on Saturday.
Vouchers are not covered by the eBay money-back guarantee, and PayPal doesn't cover intangible goods either. I am just wondering what I should do in case the code doesn't arrive. I guess the first step would be to contact them.

    • +1

Well, it looks like they just got a neg saying no code and contact information is incorrect???
      Edit: It was removed.

  • +1

Come on woolworths i need to eat and still waiting for my voucher it should be instant not days later.

  • I purchased 3x $300 vouchers, still have not received any via email. Purchased Saturday.

  • Getting rather fed up of online companies here placed an order with a site promo never worked got charged full price emailed several ways last night 10 mins after ordering and called today and they trying to tell me cant cancel 10 mins after they open today.said they email there warehouse to cancel 2015 dont we use phones? I place an order with well know store click and collect 2 days later im still waiting for them to say come and collect and now this purchased and paid for voucher where i really need to get my shopping in and still no voucher honesty and wonder why so people order from overseas.

  • Does anyone know if we wan use the eBay 15% off promotion on this purchase? Essentially paying $85 instead of $100 for $120 value?

    • Unfortunately no, you can't.
      http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/click15?_trkparms=cl…
      9. Purchases of items listed in the following categories are excluded from this offer: Gift Cards (including Woolworths Online Grocery Vouchers) (172,009), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800) and Tickets, Travel (11,730) are excluded from this offer.

  • +1

I just received my voucher code via email

    • how long did it take before you got it?

      • 26th sept

  • Got one of my vouchers

  • Got my voucher but didn't know about the one use condition. :( I guess I need the extended family's help to buy $300 worth of goods. It's too late for a refund right?

    • I didn't realise the email address condition. Sigh

      • Do you mean that it has to be the same email address? You can change your WO email address before shopping online. It should work fine.

  • I bought the voucher in the first hour of the promotion and everybody else is getting it apart from me. I will ask for a refund tomorrow and buy from Coles…

  • I really don't understand why vouchers are not covered (PayPal doesn't cover them either). If sellers cannot prove they have sent the voucher, why are we not protected? Particularly if they say they are going to send a voucher via email and don't have the email. Why no protection????
Also, why does eBay in the UK offer protection while eBay in Australia doesn't?
    http://www2.ebay.com/aw/uk/201204021729062.html
    http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.…
Does a cc chargeback work in such cases? (I used PayPal, but PP took the money from my cc).
As they didn't send the code and have stopped communication (and I am not the only one in this position), I have to start thinking what I am going to do next.

  • Bought and paid for voucher on Friday Sept. 25th. Still no code emailed at 10am Oct. 1st. Sent a refund request through eBay…

    • Me too, but apparently we are not covered because vouchers are intangible goods. I tried anyway. I will wait and see what eBay has to say. After all, they advertised the deal and are partly responsible. Apparently before a cc chargeback the bank wants to see that you have tried other options and that you could not get your money back, that's why I opened a request anyway. If they say they cannot help with intangible goods I will show their email to the bank.

      • I'm sure Australian consumer law still means we are covered given they've taken our money. I'd prefer a refund now, but the minimum I want is the actual voucher. I can't understand why it takes so long to send them out. This is bad for their business. I certainly won't be preferencing them over Coles in the future.

        • Yes, it's Coles for me too from now on. It should also have been "first come, first served". Some people got their code after 2 days, while others (like us) are still waiting past the advertised delivery time of 5 days.

        • @OzBargainGrabber: Lol, is this why it took more than the advertised 12 hours to get my Wish eGift Card delivered? They must have been busy trying to get all the Woolworths vouchers out. I had to chase them up in the end and got it within the hour.

        • @divergent:
Yes, they have been "trying", unfortunately not very successfully…. :)

  • the having to use the whole voucher amount in one order and forfeit any unused sum stinks aswell, surely they could have just left a credit on your Woolies account for any unused funds.

Another thing a lot of times after you lodge a grocery order some items become out of stock and a refund is issued to your funding source, what will happen with out of stock items/refund with the voucher?

    • I have asked Woolworths this question the day I purchased voucher on eBay and received below answer:

"Any out of stock will be refunded via refund voucher and emailed to you, or if you have used partial CC they will be refunded back to CC first and then a refund coupon.“

The best way to avoid this is to choose "substitute" option when you put order online.

  • With so many negs and probably new disputes I wonder if their account will be temporarily suspended? I am not a seller, so I don't know the rules, but I know there are penalties. And if it is suspended, I assume they won't be able to send emails/vouchers at all, at least not from their eBay account??
Not too long ago I checked and when I clicked on their name from my purchased items list it said that that ID didn't exist! However, now it seems to be working again.

Order put on 25/09/2015 and Still yet received my voucher. Two messages sent also no response :(

    • +1

in the same boat, no response, no voucher.

I was looking forward to $300 of cask wine

      • I got a response at least (about 3 hours ago) - no "dear…", "regards", nothing, just "Apologies for the delay, you will receive your voucher today" (something they probably copied and pasted several times). Nothing yet though. I find it funny that in my category there were 25,000 vouchers up for grab and they only sold 5,000. It still sounds like a lot, but they offered 25,000 when they said they would send the vouchers within 5 days, so they sort of overestimated themselves.
PS: I didn't know that alcohol was included. Cool! I will add some cider when I finally get my voucher.

  • Is it possible to change an eBay "I want my item" request to "I want a refund" for an item that was not received? On second thoughts I think I prefer a refund. Most other people who didn't get the code seem to have requested a refund.

  • They didn't reply to my missing item request, which prevents me from requesting a refund as I said I want my missing item, but they did respond to my contact seller request at 6pm. The message said - "Hi, You will receive your voucher today." There is not much of today left, and I am out of milk, bread and meat. My kittens litter box needs changing and I could damn well use a drink. I got a bit stuffed up last week when I bought the voucher and could not shop with it, so I used money I had to replace, hoping it would be here by now. I have never been stuffed around so badly with an ebay transaction before, and I will never buy a voucher code again through ebay, I do not care how "backed" or bog name they are. Ebay flatly refused a refund, so the backing isn't worth boo. I feel so bad for plus-ing this deal, now that it has expired, I cannot take my plus back :(

    • Same promise to me… And still nothing…. I will send them a new email tomorrow if the voucher doesn't arrive tonight and let them know I am not stupid and know what to do even if intangible goods are not under eBay or PayPal protection. There are other ways to get help, like a cc chargeback, and of course there are also consumers associations. I will wait until tomorrow because occasionally with Woolworths Online they have replied emails pretty late (even after 8pm), so I am not sure about their schedule.
PS: They didn't reply to my missing item request either. We can only escalate the problem with eBay on the 8th, and I am not sure what they are going to do because they don't cover vouchers. But we'll see. THEY advertised the deal on their front page, it was not some hidden dodgy deal, so intangible goods or not they should really intervene/help. Now I am going away on Saturday and I am not even sure about Internet access. Hopefully I will find a computer somewhere. It is annoying to have this worry on holiday (and miss money I could have needed)…
It is the worst eBay transaction for me too. Up to now only cheap items from China have gone missing, and the sellers were very quick to refund anyway.

      • Only 1 cheapy china item have I ever needed refunding, it ended up arriving after nearly 6 months with customs stickers all over it. the buyer rightfully processed my purchase again and everyone was happy. I buy 90% of my stuff online, this is the 3rd time I have had an issue. 1st with oneaday, who either had a security leak or deliberately tried to charge my card with 3 x $1000 charges, but the bank picked it up and froze my account, once with the now notorious stylishplus.com.au, I had to go to fair trading for that one and was refunded 6 months after the products were past due (they is very poor taste used the floods as an excuse for non-delivery - my item was already 3 months late and I had been waiting 2 months for a response). This is the third time. The only thing I need to worry about with china sellers, is how cheap and nasty is it - will it break on second use? :P

        • +1

I am still also surprised that the deal was never advertised here https://www.woolworths.com.au/Shop/Discover/about-us/offers-….
I have read about another vouchers scam and Woolworths emphasized that all their real deals are advertised on that page. But the deal has been advertised by eBay, their PayPal address is connected to their website, and they also got positive fb, so they just messed it up I guess.
I actually once also had a problem with a tablet, but PayPal refunded my money. I always thought to stay away from intangible goods, but thought this deal was real because eBay advertised it and because I already knew Woollies. Never again though.
