  • +27

Must use voucher value in a single transaction. Unused value will be forfeited.

    • +6

taking a page out of jetstars playbook

  • +8

hmm, crap t&cs. short expiry date, total vlaue of voucher must be redeemed in a single transaction …

  • +12

    Single transaction sucks!!

  • You can only buy one of each for a maximum of three vouchers, $300 is a bit too much to buy for me.

  • i wonder if this is a gift card or a voucher

    • -1

      Woolworths Online Grocery Voucher DOH!!!!

      • +1

Wouldnt it be a bit of a security issue if it was just a voucher u can redeem? like the many leaked codes on ozbargain? as opposed to a gift card in which u have a pin for security reasons?

  • Should have kept my $50 click&collect vourcher to use on this.

  • $300 voucher good if you can stock up on nappies, boxes of soft drink and meat - the high priced items, and you should qualify for a free delivery if over $300, right?

    • Never remember buying nappies from woolies ever… BigW, target, Kmart or Costco whoever has the special on at the time. Colesworth sell them at a premium and in smaller packs… So no deal here…

  • Trying to get Cash Rewards also, but i cant find the deals from the eBay browser page launched by Cash Rewards. Help!!

NVM just found it…..click on eBay deals up the top of the screen.

can someone who can do maths work out the percentage saving on each one for me so I can compare? thank you!

    • +5

      16.6%
      20%
      20%

      • +2

        thank you knackers.

      • +7

        Teach a man to fish…..
        100/120 = 0.833 or 83.3%, so you are paying 83.3% of the true vlaue, so the discount is 100 - 83.3 = 16.7%
Like anything, not hard when you know how.

        • +6

          This might be easier still:

Discount / Total = Percentage saving
          $20 / $120 = 0.167 = 16.7%

    • -5

can someone who can do maths work out the percentage saving on each one for me so I can compare? thank you!

Not sure why you can't do maths but try learn it if you aren't trolling.
Please Learn from some Khan Academy Videos

      Pay 100 Receive 120 = 120% Face Value
      Pay 160 Receive 200 = 125% Face Value
      Pay 240 Receive 300 = 125% Face Value

Equivalently the first one is 16.67% off
Second and third are both 20% off.

    • +5

It is already showing that discount on the eBay page, you don't need to learn to do maths but learn to pay attention and read the page.

  • +1

    can you buy giftcard online?

    • +1

just went on woolies online and searched for Giftcard. Nothing came up.

  • | Woolworths Online will email the code to your registered email address within 5 days of purchase.

Anyone placed an order yet and got the voucher? Wondering whether i should get this or simply use holiday10 code and get $10 off plus free delivery.

  • +7

This voucher includes alcohol!! Easier to get to $300 voucher in one shop with that on top of groceries. Also free delivery when you spend $300.

    • Yep I think alcohol would be one of the key usages of this voucher.

Sad that it is a one hit voucher

      • +1

and the booze is ~30% more expensive then Dan

  • I tried to buy 3 x vouchers but only allowed me to buy one. thinking i would have to do each transaction separately, but on my second purchase a quantity selection appears (wasn't previously there) and it states 1 x Gift Card is too many….so annoying!

  • +3

Such a shame the entire value has to be used in one hit :(

  • +1

You can use it on alcohol, easy spend!

    • +1

      yes, Australians need more alcohol!

      • They do.

      • No they need more toilet rolls!

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/192255

        • I buy whogivesacrap.org toilet rolls now - they last forever and I feel good every time I wipe, they are not as sturdy as quilton and kleenex, but the environment sacrificed a lot for that strength, both pre and post production, they don't break down very well in the sewage system and require more treatment, plus they are a big offender when it comes to blocking small and tight bend pipes.

  • +3

Shame its online purchases only too.

    • What is wrong with online click and collect?

      • -2

The higher prices for anything that is not on special.

        • Yeh but it isn't by much and with the use of this promotion you will save the difference anyway

        • -3

@strikerzebra: when I checked it was about 10%, so half the saving is gone. And you still have to spend $$$ in one shop.

        • @team teri:

You can always buy some alcohol, that doesn't even go bad to make the minimum purchase amount

        • +4

The online prices have been reduced recently and are supposed to be the same as the in-store prices now, Woolies have been advertising this, is it not the case though?

        • +2

          @muncan:
Indeed, it is not the case.

For example: I bought beef spare ribs yesterday. $10.99/kg from the deli where I did pick and point to exactly the ones I liked.

Online they are advertised as a minumum of 1kg for $11.99. Not only does it cost more per kg, I also would have to buy twice as much.

      • There's one one Woolworths store near me that does click & collect. Last time I ordered 4 or 5 kg of mince that had an expiry date within 10 hours of my pick up.

"Woolworths guarantees when you shop online, only the best quality meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables are delivered"

Let me tell you that's not the case. Or, technically, mine was a click and collect, not a delivery. When I complained, they politely told me to piss off.

  • +1

Is anyone concerned that the eBay user (woolworthssupermarkets) has only 2 "test" purchases? Surely Woolworths have had an account on eBay before?

Shouldn't the Woolworths rep on here have posted this deal? - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/155646

    • Yeah I came to post the same thing. Looks really sus to me.

      http://stores.ebay.com.au/woolworthssupermarkets/

Generic avatar and they've used the name "Woolworthssupermarkets" where you'd expect them to tidy it up a bit. It all looks like a half-assed scam, except it's being advertised by eBay. Weird.

    • +1

It's a group by promoted by ebay, so I wouldn't think it was a scam. Woolworths does have a voucher system already, if they refund an online purchase made using a gift card they give you a voucher code via email.

The paypal email address is [email protected]

      • +1

Incidentally, it is funny they now have a PayPal account. I once asked them (maybe a few months ago or so) and they said I can only pay by credit card because they don't have a PayPal account.
Just waiting for someone to confirm they got the code and that it works…

        • That's one of the reasons why I bought $2000 worth of woolworths gift cards from groupon a few weeks back when they had it for 5% cheaper. It was Only because Groupon accepted Paypal and Woolworths doesn't.

I had $2000 in paypal funds stuck in my account. I don't have bank account attached to my paypal because of all the horror stories i heard about paypal locking your account and stuff so I only could spend it. I rather spend it on groceries and stuff I need so I was in exact same situation as you Wishing that woolworths and coles accepted paypal.

So when I saw woolworths gift cards being offered on groupon for 5% off. I was happy i could purchase with paypal.

        • +1

@HoneyComb: You can buy e-giftcards through the Dan Murphys website & pay by paypal. They can be used at Woolworths, Caltex, etc, not just Dan Murphys.

I wanted to buy WW gift cards recently to use up paypal funds, & discovered DMs website accepts paypal. Only negative is you don't get 5% off buying thru DMs website. But it's an option when Wish e-giftcards are not listed on Groupon.

        • +1

@spacecowboy: thanks so much for that info.

        • @HoneyComb:

Well, their eBay account is new, so maybe the PayPal account is also new. Hopefully they will add it to the payment options for Woolworths Onine now that they do have an account.

  • +1

Wouldn't it have to be legit to be plastered across front page of ebay?

    • It is now, so it is real after all… I am going to buy a voucher right now…

  • Lame! If it was a gift card with multiple uses, I'd be all over it to use at woolies petrol

  • +1

I wonder how many people bought this without realising you have to use it in one go ?

  • +1

Loving this offer!! I am buying all my end of year alcohol… hahaha

  • +1

    I guess u cant do opal recharges then…. :(

  • Anyone bought and know how long it take for vouchers to arrive?

    • Says up to 5 days

      • Yeh I know but I'm wondering if anyone got it immediately. Reason I ask is so I can stack it with this weeks special $10 off

        • Paypal is failing to log in for me.. just get an endless spinning circle of death when I try to log in.

        • +1

          @scubacoles: oh ok

Probably won't be able to stack with other codes anyway

        • @scubacoles:

I think you must be logged in to eBay in order for PayPal to work for this deal. I don't know. It worked fine for me.

        • @OzBargainGrabber:
          I am logged into eBay…
It pushes me to Paypal and then just its there.
I bought a mouse on eBay yesterday and Paypal worked fine.

  • With the 3 voucher limit, could I use 3x $120 or is it only one of each?

  • I bought 2 of the $300 and 1 of the $120. So i think you can buy any combination, but 3 in total.

    • Did you do it in separate transactions?

    • You know you have to spend them by the end of November right?

      • +1

It's not hard to spend money on groceries these days.

    • How'd you do that? I could only buy one of each, wouldn't let me buy 2 of the same vouchers in separate transactions

    • thats alot of vouchers.. you sure you would be able to spend $300 in one go..
what do you end up buying..
i want to buy these but not sure what to shop for $200… $120 may be…

  • Hmm but I don't think I ever spent over $120 on groceries in one go.

    • Easy when you add booze

      • Never spent $1 on that.

        • +4

Then you've just stumbled across the right deal at the right time ;)

  • Want to buy for boss, but realize he is not good online shopping. In-store shopping would be nice. No deal.

  • +2

Woolies are working hard for our patronage!

  • Yeah separate transactions. Easy to spend in that time i reckon.

  • Can you buy wish gift card with this?

  • Why is everyone so upset? Surely if you got a $100 voucher you could easily buy enough groceries for the week to cover $100? What I want to know is if I can use this voucher with other woolies codes (ie. stacking).

    • +1

      Don't count on it.

cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

  • Eh. The problem with online is that you don't get to see the meat and vege as you would if you at the shop.

    • +3

The beauty with Woolies is if you are even the slightest bit unhappy with your items they will refund you and you keep the items. Meat is usually good with them but I have a lot of problems with their fruit and vege quite often and have had to ring them almost every week. BUt they do refund and if you tell them you want to re order those items they will email you a voucher code for free delivery so the few replacement items you get will not cost you a re delivery fee.

  • We can use these at dan murphys right?

    • No, why would you think that?

      • woolies owns them, too bad though

        • You are probably thinking of Wish e-gift cards. But this is not a Wish e-gift card.

  • dunno why I only bought 1x $300, 1x $100 but I cant buy one more $100, it says quantity is not avail… :(

  • +1

Oh no, didn't realise it's for online, I clicked too fast and bought $300.

    • +3

I'll bite the bullet and buy it off you for $100. Tough times tough times.

    • I'll give you $200 for it.

    • @nfr

Don't worry mate. I was on the same boat. I cancelled the order and got refunded already.

      @WaterMark
      @serpserpserp

      Tough Times tough Times.

      • @Diva how do you cancel the order ?
