  • well they did mention at the time of purchase that the estimated delivery date is 1 October 2015. Abit of patience doesn't hurt. I will wait and see until 3 Oct and then request a refund! my 2cents worth!

    • The estimated delivery depends on the day you bought the voucher. For those who bought the vouchers on the 25th the estimated delivery was the 30th. Yesterday they apologized and said I would get the voucher "today" (yesterday), but nothing arrived… This is ridiculous. After this I am definitely switching over to Coles. They always keep me last anyway, even for normal deliveries (they usually deliver about 15 minutes AFTER my delivery window, and last time I had to cancel a doctor's appointment because they were almost 25 minutes late). Enough is enough…

  • Received the email containing the voucher code yesterday and used today no problems.
    Only slight downside is unable to combine with any other codes eg. HOLIDAYS15.

    For those who actually got the voucher from which email address was it sent?
    I've checked my spam folder with no luck, but just want to clarify.

    • Same here, but we are not the only ones. Look at their recent fb. And yes, I checked my spam folder too. I even asked them if they had sent it (sometimes emails get lost in cyberspace, you never know…)

    Oh, I see the whole deal is off. When it was on, the cashrewards part of it it was off. That must have been Monday. Got the code last night, spent it today.

  • Today is 8th day, still have yet received my voucher. Woolworths finally responded as below after my 3 messages sent:

    "Hi, You should have received your voucher. Please confirm if you haven't so we can investigate"

    Checked my eBay email address, still nothing.

    Should I open a dispute in eBay?

    • Well, it takes eBay a week before they can do anything (or even before you can contact them from within the resolution centre) after you have opened a dispute (when you open a dispute you basically first talk to the seller), so I think you should. (I have.) You can close the dispute any time if you receive the voucher.
      As I said before usually intangible goods are not covered by the eBay buyer protection program, but this time eBay advertised the deal on their front page, so they should take some responsibility if something goes wrong. I am not going to kiss good-bye to $240, that's for sure.

  • I still have not received mine, even though I got a message from them through ebay yesterday, saying I would receive them today. The matter is now with Fair Trading as they refuse to respond to my missing item case, and when I ring them they blame ebay and when I ring ebay they blame Woolworths. They played our money on the stock market for 5 days (7 now in my case) I think I deserve interest on my money as well.

    • I am going away tomorrow morning until the 10th. I will try to find a computer (a nuisance of course). I can't contact eBay in the resolution centre until the 8th. I will contact them on the 8th and if I don't get a response I like or the voucher by the time I come back I am going to lodge a complaint with Fair Trading too.

      • I have also petitioned ACA, Sunrise, The Checkout and Choice to please investigate this fiasco. It seems people who bought on 25th Sept (I am pretty sure that was day one) are the ones who have not been made whole.

        • I told them I was going to contact ACA too this morning.
          I assume that different people process the codes, and the person who was supposed to process the vouchers bought on the 25th just didn't do his or her job.

    I ordered mine literally with minutes left on the deal (was still deciding whether or not to risk it ;) ) and the email came through early yesterday morning. The email is from [email protected] , if you haven't received it maybe do a search for that address and / or check it hasn't been filtered into junk? I think it would have been smarter for them to deliver the code to the ebay inbox personally :s .

  • I finally got it! I wrote to the email address indicated by KittyKatastrophe and told them I was going to the Department of Fair Trading and got it within a couple of hours. I don't know if it was a coincidence.

  • Question: I will now have to close the dispute for "item not received". What should I do in case the voucher doesn't work? It should work, as I have seen nobody complain about vouchers not working, but just in case… I cannot reopen the dispute. Maybe I am a bit negative right now, but it was such a nightmare transaction… Just contact them I guess (as they suggest in their email in case there is a problem).

  • 5th October, still no voucher, but a fb message to the Head of Woolworth Group did elicit another message from ebay saying I will get my voucher tomorrow. After being lied to by repeatedly by customer service that it was not Woolworths selling them, to having ebay refuse a refund, to opening a dispute with paypal for a refund and checking in to the sellers details, the seller is Woolworths Limited and the attached email is a woolworths.com.au - only Woolworths can distribute an email address from thier domain, and paypal verifies their accounts, so I doubt anyone but Woolworths could hold a Woolworths Limited paypal account. I have been asking for a refund, a message with NO voucher attached, saying I will get the voucher tomorrow, when I have clearly been asking for a refund since Friday, is just not good enough.

    • it is an email code, they had no right to take our money and play with it, they probably lost it, which is why the have had to stagger the vouchers. You are not allowed to sell an item on ebay that you do not have, they told me time and time again, they did not have the voucher yet, so what they did is against ebay rules.

    • Finally got a response through my eBay dispute.

      "We apologise for the delay in sending you your code, we have experienced technical difficulties sending the code to you. Please be advised that the refund will be processed on Tuesday and voucher codes cancelled if you have received them. We will not process a refund if vouchers have been redeemed."

      So let's see how long the refund actually takes…

  • I finally got a refund, and i realised how they disappear the neg reviews, every time they refund, the neg review is taken down, as the purchase didn't happen.

  • NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I used my $200 credit on a single order as per conditions. Woolworths sends me an "out of stock notification" on items shortshipped, but Woolworths does not give me a refund or credit for what they can't supply.
    I have complied with Woolworths' voucher conditions - they have not.
    This is cheating! Time to pursue Woolworths through the regulatory bodies.

    • Just call them and they will email a voucher for the difference (1800 000 610). Ring early in the morning or be prepared for a long wait as the operators are very busy at the moment trying to sort out all the issues created by these eBay discount codes. Try to be nice to the person on the other end of the phone, I think they have been getting a tough time!

    • Sorry for the late follow-up.
      I emailed woolworths explaining the problem on 7/10.
      On 10/10 they emailed offering me a $15 voucher code to cover the shortage, and "for my inconvenience". I replied pointing out that the shortage was $19, so they weren't quite covering things.
      On 16/10 they emailed with a $20 voucher code, which covers things with a bonus $buck.
      So issue resolved after a week - but something to watch out for.

  • I am yet to receive mine as well. I ordered 3 x $300 vouchers. only 1 of my orders is showing as posted but i have got nothing.

    It is totally unacceptable to put such a limited window on the use of the Gift Card, and then further reduce that by being late with delivery.

    I have tried contacting the seller and have had no reply. Any ideas?

        Hey argonbay, I purchased 1 x $300 gift card on 25th and 2 x $300 gift cards on the 30th. I raised an ebay dispute for the one from the 25th yesterday and stated i still wanted the item. Today i received an ebay message reply with a code. Tonight I jumped onto Woolworths online and redeemed the voucher code without issue. Only downside is you cant use it with any other codes. Just now I have raised another 2 x ebay disputes for the other 2 x $300 gift cards that are yet to arrive. Fingers crossed i get a reply tomorrow and can put this really poor experience behind me.

        • Cheers Rumski, thanks for the feedback. I ended up doing pretty much the same as you so now have 2 vouchers and have filled in a dispute for the third one tonight also stating I still want the item. I will get an order in tomorrow morning to use up a $300 voucher. Poor form by Woolies.

  • Well I got my refund yesterday (7th Oct.) It's in my Paypal account but has yet to be transferred back to my CC - so I can't actually "access" the funds yet.

    Overall a bad experience. Probably won't be dealing with Woolworths in an online capacity ever again.

    • I just received my email with code as a result of the dispute.

      • Starting a dispute seems to do the trick, worked for me. Just said I had not received the item but still want it. Got my three vouchers from the 25th now.

  • Ordered 3 x $300 vouchers on the 26th and have nothing. I've put a dispute on all three and waiting for a refund.

    How card can it be - they ran a campaign knowing how many they were selling and still stuffed it up. That's the second poor experience I've had with Woolworths online.

  • Just an FYI in case someone has the same issue. I had the out of stock not getting refunded issue as well… I called and they sent me a voucher for the refund amount. Not as good as cash but better than nothing

    • So instead of getting the voucher, they sent you a voucher?

      • The issue is when you spend the voucher, items that are out of stock aren't getting refunded…in this case, you can call woolworths and they'll send you another voucher totalling the amount of the items that were out of stock..hope that makes sense

  • Got my final voucher. Sent in a where is my item request and it arrived an hour later. There may be an issue where they really dont know which codes have been sent or not so they just wait until a dispute is raised. I doubt there is anything sinister to it, just disorganised.

    Then they just send me the code no coupons after i asked for a refund via ebay.

    Someone messed up! Neg from me on this deal.

  • Ok i have screwed up. I stupidly read all the terms and conditions very carefully and for some reason thought i could use it at dans.

    I dont do that much grocery shopping since i live alone.

    I tried buying wish gift cards online but its not avail.

    Please help.
    Is there a way i can get out ofnthis situation.
    I do buy 300 worth of alcohol at dans quite often so thats what i was intending on using it.

    Am happy to get back 240 worth of credit as well.

        however, they called me and they said my order contents werent available so they refunded me a $300 voucher exp 12 months

        how do I go abouts checking whether its a "use at once" voucher?

  • Still waiting on my code. Purchased on 29 Sept. Phone Woolworths customer service twice yesterday, 7:10am and 2pm. Both times was told that someone would phone me back. Still waiting…
    Very poorly organised both Woolworths and eBay need to be held accountable for this.

  • Purchased 3x $300 on 25th, received codes on 30th, spent codes on 3x $360ish orders (with a buffer to prevent out of stock issues). Maybe I was lucky, but all good for me! :)
