Forget about the proof. If it doesn't work by 10 am tomorrow then neg this like there's no tomorrow.
    Go to sleep petals.

  • guess we could wait for 20%

    • And then wait for 30% off, end up not buying anything. BARGAIN!!

      • it usually goes $50 voucher, 15% and 20%..I know 30% is not coming anytime, but 20% surely close

        • -1

You reckon that the 20% will work with any purchase?
Can you refer me to that previous 20% ebay previous bargain post? Just curious :\

As I remember we got 20% off this year from Ebay.co.uk but that's not official and might be caused by glitch/bug with ebay.com.au

    • +2

      Yes

      • Thanks bud

    • +2

yes, I got my cash back before when using my android phone.

      • Thanks bud

  • Awesome! Thanks!

Just a tip for anyone who sends out parcels or letters from time to time, buy some stamps or prepaid satchels as the value doesn't drop. In fact the satchels increase value as Australia increases the postage rates.

  • Kind of sucks I just spend $120 on eBay like just a few days ago.
And I only buy from eBay on average 4 times a year.

    • Ship it back/ cancel it?
      Item might still not delivered

      • Its from China.. their holidays around now might mean a backlog of work when it comes to both cancelling and shipment. Just have to take the loss and let it be. Unless i can find other things to buy.

      • This hasn't been confirmed yet. The discount might not be real..

  • I don't have anything in PayPal, and Woolworths requires immediate payment. :(

    • +2

So what? Paypal will pull the money immediately from your Credit/Debit card.

      • But it usually takes three days to put money in from my debit card. o.o

        • +1

You can use PayPal with a $0 balance.

        • @sween64: I had no idea, thank you for telling me! :D

A poxy 15% discount is hardly sufficient to wet one's pants about.

It is handy - I have about $120 worth of small purchases to make so 15% might save me $20 or so. It's OK, but not earth shattering.

      • +4

I have been looking at $544 Samsung tablet, this 15% is huge for me. =D

        • +2

Yes, agreed - products like that (with very low discounts normally) are good value on deals like this (if it ever happens, and if the price is competitive anyway)

      • +3

Im looking to buy a fridge a tv and a tablet don't tell me 15% isnt big.

        • +2

Maximum discount is $100, which means that maximum product price (to get full % value from the deal) is $666. You won't get much of a fridge or TV for those kind of $$.

Thus, buying a $1500 fridge with $100 discount is not bad I guess - but ONLY if you cannot get the same product cheaper elsewhere (like Appliances Direct)

        • +5

@llama: Buy them in three different transactions, and that's $300 off.

        • @llama: i didn't say i was going to buy all those using this sale did i i was just stating what i was after if i found anything for a good price.

besides 100 off 1k is a decent enough saving so whats your problem and what with the damn neg?

        • @holden93: $100 off $1000 is a 10% discount.

        • -5

          @pmupsinep: MAX $100 discount mate.

        • +2

          @holden93: Oh Lord.

        • -1

          @Cyb3rGlitch:

          DOH, comprehension fail or what?

The deal is $100 discount per transaction. A fridge is what, $1500 for anything decent? You cannot buy 1/3 of a fridge or 1/2 a fridge… so you have to buy the fridge on ONE transaction.

So, you get $100 discount. That is good IF the fridge cannot be purchased elsewhere for less.

        • @llama: Yes to your question. You are incapable of comprehending that three different expensive items (i.e. TV, fridge, tablet), over different transactions, would reap $100 saving each. At the time of commenting, the OP said three transactions were allowed. That's $300. It's not rocket science. ;)

        • @Cyb3rGlitch:

          Two transactions per customer.
          that $200

        • @rodinthink: "At the time of commenting" is the key phrase there.

      • +1

Good. So when the coupon comes out. Don't log onto Ebay so the servers are less congested.

  • If I accepted an offer last Wednesday but haven't paid yet, will this work if I pay it today after 10am? ><

  • So…the code will be issued at 10am? nothing mentioned in Ebay yet…

  • -5

Anyone think it is worth getting a buddy to list some random thing at an absurd price and purchasing it on your account?

From what i figure they will get a listing fee (should be 0 though yeah?) and a % final value fee (probably 9.9%). So assuming you deduct the 9.9% final value fee it means you still make 5.1% (so basically up to $100 assuming 3 maximum transactions)+ cashback.

So purchase $2000 over 3 transactions from buddy (alt account)
    Get $300 off - you spend 1700
Buddy (or alt acc) makes $1800 after paypal fees gives you the $100
you make something like $42.5 from cashback

    so it's a free $142.5

…Unless i am missing some fees? Anyone care to chime in?

    • +2

You are missing Paypal fees around 3% on top of ebay fees

      • Ok so screw this. I guess i have to figure out what i want to buy then.

    • If it's a new seller account, there will also be a 21 day hold on the funds.

    • ..

  • HECK YES (if this is true).

Needed to buy a bunch of things. Good timing!

LG G4 Brown Leather, is a good deal…..

    http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/141676804991?_mwBanner=1

$444.68 after 15% off ebay offer + 2.5% cashback from Cashrewards.

    • I pulled the trigger on the red leather one this arvo FFS! Tempted to try and cancel/reorder it tomorrow if this turns out to actually be real….

      • +1

The seller is good, I don't think that he would create any drama. Good luck.

      • Also other colours are also available from the same seller

    • +1

Grrrr, still waiiting for.the $499 deal to arrive

      • +1

This is $444.68 and you are waiting for $499 deal ??

        • +1

The last ebay $499 deal from.Kogan for the G4.

        • +2

@albanyson: yes, but $444 is less than $499

        • +5

@albanyson: Deal from kogan is no deal.
I rather pay few eXtra $$ and aviod getting used cell phones from Kogan

        • +2

          @cisco:
Yep, seems lesson learned…….once bitten etc. Other ozb have said same about that 'deal'…….

These $448 ones will probably arrive before mine does…….

        • @albanyson: if your order is still processing then you would still be able to cancel it
Usually kogan takes ages to ship a product. But they usually instantly refund if you cancel before item is sent.

        • @ko0l: Thanks
Any advice on how to smoothly cancel?

        • +1

@albanyson: Just go onto your ebay purchase history, click on more actions, contact seller and pick I have a question about using my item or I want to send the seller a message. And just ask kthem if you can cancel the order. The reply would usually be yeah sure money would be in your account in a few days or sorry item sent already.

    • GOd dammit, is this the time I buy a new phone??

I'd rather have an s6… but seriously, its price is painful

  • Nice, i was in the market for some Japanese Kitchen Knives!

    • +1

Post a link ti what you find please.

      • +2

If you like ceramic knives we have had a set of "Forever" and "Kyocera" ceramic knives for years now, and they are all still sharp, never been sharpened. All made in Japan.

        • In the market for more pro Japanese chef knives, or "elite" knives. Multi layered, vg10, etc
The ones I'm looking for are superior to global/wusthof, etc
Handcrafted, forged like Japanese swords. I'll post them if they become eligible
Don't trust ceramic knives, too brittle.

  • Any recommendations for reliable power banks in the 20 dollar or so range? Nothing too fancy, maybe 1x or 1.5x charge is decent enough.

Its hard to distinguish between the crappy exaggerated mAh listings and the fakes!

  • +9

Think people are a bit hasty with the upvotes here! We'll see.

    • +9

It happens with all ebay deals posted on OzBargain. Look at the last deal. Over 700 upvotes, even though there weren't any real deals and the retailers jacked up their prices.

      • +2

Just because you couldn't find any real deals for yourself doesn't mean there weren't any real deals for others.

    • +1

hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies

    • my thoughts too. Nearly 9am and Ebay still arent advertising this deal on their site.
I would have thought they would have a banner up by now, the 20% off ones they has up days before.

  • +2

I am ready this time :)

  • +1

Can you use this in conjunction with making a offer and it being accepted, if so if I make an offer now and it being accepted will the code apply, if offer is made prior to 10am?

    • I've successfully done this before
