Saw this tonight in wheelers hill. Expiry Aug 15. Not sure how they can sell them at all.

      There's no Expiry

      • The one I saw had an expiry.

    • Which petrol station at Wheelers Hill?
      Was their any left??

      • Shell (Coles Express) corner Springvale and Ferntree Gully Roads (diagonal to Brandon Park SC). There were 2 left.

        • Thanks just tried there and I couldn't see any… Asked the guy working and he had no idea… Do you know where abouts in the store they were??

In the Specials area? Behind the counter?

          Thanks

        • @slappy:
on top of the counter where you pay for stuff. they had 2 boxes there. I presume already sold (and not by me either).

        • Thanks

  • does it come with any data plan?

Good deal as is $19.50 in Coles catalog starting Wednesday. (That is pretty usual price on sale.)

Possibly clearance stock, so supplies will vary.

Worth it just for the 3GB. No expiry on SIM.

  • When you say coles express; is that the convenience store at the petrol stations?

  • Are these locked? If I take it over to nz with me, can i just lob a local sim in and have it work?

    • +1

Unlocked in other Coles deals on these.

    • +1

It was not locked the one I got but you need to put in the correct apn for the network. It looks like it can only have one setting only. You need to change it every time you change network which is pretty stupid. Have not tried the new firmware yet.

  • Can't seem to find the full specifications…
Does it support both 850Mhz and 900Mhz?

    • +1

      The box shows 3G: 900/2100 MHz (HSPA+ 21.6Mbps/5.76Mbps)….

Does anyone know if I can use this SIM on a 4G device? - I can trim it down to nano size and use it that way if I can

      • +3

I can confirm that the 3gb sim works in my Vodafone R216 4g wifi device and connects in 4g.

        • thanks - I will go 4G also.

  • any dudes saw this in NSW?

  • i just bought one, how do i know if it has 3gb? vodaphone says they are unsure as to whether it has 3gb data or not, some were originally priced at 29.95 on sale for 10$ with 3gb data, others orignally priced at 19.95 and come with 500mb of data? anyone know what the deal is?

    • Where did you find yours?

  • Tried at Bulleen Vic and they have none.

  • None in Five Dock or Ultimo (NSW).

  • I hate that these things "expire" in 30 days. Are there any that don't expire?

    • If you don't activate the SIM, it won't expire^ ;-)

I've activated the Vodafone data SIM years after buying a Pocket WiFi2.

^of course Vodafone or their t&c may expire

      • Ahhhh I see. Better than having it expire 30 days after buying but still.

  • Tried Coles Express around Nepean Highway, and Warrigal Rd South East Melbourne way and none of the stores have them anymore…

    • +1

At this price the store staff will be the first to jump on it.. and the stores probably wont have too many to stock

    • Try Coles Express Lygon Street City, saw it few days ago. Tried call before to check if still there

    • +1

      Yeah same .
Rude bitch in Moorrabin told me in a smart-assed voice that they have never sold them and hung up.

  • Asked at Garden City, Brisbane. "Never seen one of those in years working at Coles Express."

Coles sometimes stock different products in different States, & probably differs by outlet type.

  • None at the Footscray Coles Express.

  • Tried all Coles Express around CBD and all the way South East down to Mordiallic, none with stock. Looks like its all gone if not only very little left somewhere afar…

  • Do you have to cancel the plan after using the 3gb data?

    • +1

It should be prepaid so no cancelation needed.

      • Do you need to register all your details and go through a long process?
