About Time !! Been waiting for this for a year !

    • +3

      ^_^

      • +6

We are still recovering from last year sale ^_^

        • I remember i picked my system up last time and when i walked in; there were loads of PC's being boxed up and ready for dispatch. Hardly any room to walk around lol

        • +7

@Krish89: That time was pretty crazy. I still have nightmares about it :P

  • Cheers for coming up with something :)

Puts this one to shame that I posted yesterday lol:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212958

    • Sorry bro :)

    • +1

So.. the difference is $51 for different case + 120gb SSD?

      • +2

        Hi cwongtech.

We also give a better PSU.

        Cheers

        • Now that this one is sold out, how about putting a better psu in the other one?

  • +2

What's a good GPU to add this that would play all current games at high settings?

    • I would recommend at least 960 for 30fps or 970 for 60fps

      • +1

Would the 960 be enough for CSGO and Guild wars 2 at max settings? Pretty much the only games I play at the moment

        • +2

          Should be no issue

      • +1

Any deal included 970 GPU ??

        • Hi Charisma,

At the moment, we don't have much selection but you can select a GPU upgrade option under the description.

          Cheers

        • +3

This seems to be the cheapest for a 970
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212944
Prob buy it from there and add to this desktop

    • +3

      R9 390 ;)

    • I can run CSGO in high settings with 150+ fps on 144hz with an old as (profanity) GTX 670. A 960, 970 will do you ultra on all modern games for the foreseeable future.

    • depending on what you mean by high settings. if you really don't have the cash you can even go for a 750ti but prices right now are not to much different between the two.

  • +1

    HI there,

Do you have any specials on for a cheaper system?, my old man only needs PC for internet he already has monitor and keyboard & mouse.

    Thanks

    • Hi AussieBrent,

You can try with this one
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AMD-Dual-Core-4GB-RAM-1TB-HDD-HDM…

      Cheers

      • Has a dual core AMD Sempron 2650 which is slower than an E8400 according to Anandtech.

Having used an E8500 system, which I eventually passed onto my brother after upgrading to a Q9650 I wouldn't roll the dice on an AMD Sempron. Will be a pretty frustrating experience, especially without an SSD.

It's got no OS and an Aywun case (so I'm assuming Aywun PSU too) so there isn't much going for it, besides the cheap price.

    Price Shop Part
    $269 MSY Intel Core i5-4460
    $79 MSY Asus H81M-Plus Motherboard
    $65 MSY 8GB 1600MHz Kingston ValueRam
    $68 MSY Seagate Barracuda 1TB
$65 MSY SanDisk SSD Plus 120GB
    $66 MSY Corsair VS550 550W PSU
    $60 MSY DeepCool Tesseract Black
$18 MSY LG DVD Burner (GH24)

    Total: $690 + Assembly + Warranty.

BYO OS and GPU and you're good to go. PSU is slightly questionable if you plan to shove in a power hungry GPU though.

    • +3

Thanks bro. You are doing good work.
For the PSU, it can support up to GTX 980. I would recommend to get a better PSU for 980 Ti though

      • +4

        Wattage-wise, maybe but quality-wise it's a little more sketchy.

Tom's Hardware has it as a "Tier Four" PSU which are "Avoid unless your budget dictates your choice."

That being said it's still a pretty good basic system if you don't want to slap a high-end graphics card into it and turn it into a srs gaming system. Only then does PSU choice become a problem really.

  • Hello, any love for ITX systems? Thanks

    • Hi sayako,

It's a bit hard for us to get the suitable mobo at the moment but if you want, you can PM us and we will work out something for you.

      Cheers

      • Thanks Peter,

I'm interested in small form factor too(mATX will do if small enough case).

  • Hey OP
If I were to add in a GTX950 and windows 8, how much would it be? Did you want to PM me?

    Thanks

    • Hi shiraj,

If you go to the listing and scroll down, you will see that we offer quite a bit of upgrade options down there.

      Cheers

      • Thanks OP. Can I put in a separate order for the extras for the upgrade or do they need to be on the same order?

        Thanks

        • +1

You can put it in separate orders

  • +8

why do i want this when i already have a pc lol.

    • +24

You can always stack up PCs like with Eneloops :P

      • +3

we love reps that understand ozb culture!

  • +1

    Good deal rep!
    How about an i7 package?
    Cheers

    • +1

      Hi mikmac,

We can offer an option to upgrade to i7 CPU. We will add it in within the next hour.

      Cheers

      • I'd also be very interested in an i7 package

  • Hey store rep, Im interested in a PC, but I want a small form factor mATX 6600k with a GTX970, 8gb ram, 250SSD and 2TB HDD. What can you do? I've had a look at your ebay store, and you don't seem to have many small form factor PCs, and the ones that you can add a smaller case are all out of stock. If you can do a good price, I will buy it during this ebay auction.

    • Hi thorton82,

We will need to discuss this with our manager and hopefully we can work out something. I will let you know :)

      Cheers

      • Cheers looking forward to hearing from you

      • I'm interested in this too

        • Hi guys

Due to high demands, we worked out a small mATX offer for you guys
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/151832494704

          Cheers

        • -1

          @PeterNgu91:

Thanks Peter, but its a bit too expensive for me with the 970GTX, bigger HDDS and the required cooler, I can build on for less. But thanks for the effort of putting it together.

        • @thorton82: No worries thorton82 :)

      • i will also be keen on this

      • Any luck on this one OP? A few of us would love something like this if you can do it for a good price with the eBay discount.

    • Hi guys

Due to high demands, we worked out a small mATX offer for you guys
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/151832494704

      Cheers

  • How does this go for gaming and possible photoshop or video editing?

    • +1

      Hi YellowKnight,

I would recommend you to grab a graphics card for any mid to high-end gaming or photoshop/video editing.

      Cheers

    • -1

Depends on your games… You okay playing COD 1? No problem ;)… Photoshop and video editing shouldn't be a problem. Definitely needs a CPU upgrade though IMO. Also, the GPU is TERRIBLE!!! But for the price, it is a good deal.

  • +2

Good on PCByte for taking advantage of the 15% off eBay deal but the motherboard in this is way too crappy and basic IMO. Especially considering the motherboard is the backbone and nervous system of the computer, it makes more sense to beef this component up. I note there are no motherboard upgrade options on the eBay listing. Reckon you could come up with a couple? even a basic Z87 board would be better.

    • +1

      do you mean h87?

    • +2

      Hi xyron,

We do understand that however currently, lots of mobos become EOL so it's very hard for us to source other mobos. We will see what we can do :)

      Cheers

      • +5

Interested in buying this deal but am waiting for Rep to offer mobo upgrades also. Hope it doesnt run out in the meantime.

Need to buy a cheap Win7 OS too

      • Second that, will buy if a better mobo is offered (and including the GTX960 4gb upgrade)

        • Same, would definitely be interested in purchasing, if a better mobo is offered.

  • I'm just starting to look for a new GPU.

OP: Sorry if obvious but am I able to purchase the GPU by itself (just browsing your site it appears I can)?

Everyone else: Are any of the GPU's particularly good value on their own? I'm looking at upgrading an older 560ti and it will be for 1920x1080 gaming. If they're good value is their one in particular you'd recommend if my budget is around $200.00 to $250.00.

I'd planned on doing some research next week but since this deal came from nowhere I thought I'd just ask.

    Thanks heaps.

    • +1

      Hi Kendrite,

Should be no issue :) unless the description says that you need to purchase a system with the GPU

      Cheers

      • Thanks Peter - great deal for bundles/systems.

    • +1

You're other components could play a bit of a role in what GPU your system can handle.
But in general, a GTX 970 is usually a pretty good choice for good quality 1080P gaming, although it comes in well over your price range.

However, a few months back I picked up an R9 280 (just before the 3xx series came out), and I've been using it with my 4k monitor (often scaled down to 1440 or 1080). So in your price range, you're probably better suited finding a runout AMD card, imo.

  • 2.5% cashrewards be used aswell via link to Ebay?

    • NVM

  • +2

Not in need of a PC right now but I did buy one from you guys during the 15% off last year. Just gotta say I am really happy with the PC and the service from you guys. Good to see you have brought back these awesome deals again.

    • Thank you for your good words :)

  • -6

Can i run XP on this?
    i dont like 7, or 8.

edit: I'm guessing there are RAM limitations?

    • +4

You're free to install a 14 year old operating system on it with no security support from MS.

I'm not sure if you realise, but you can make 7/8/10 effectively look like XP, with the added security, speed, etc. that comes with them.

    • +2

If you still gonna use xp, then you don't need this deal.. I'm telling you're wasting your money

  • Good desktop deal.

Any good laptop deals around on eBay or otherwise? Need a light 14"?

  • Hi StoreRep, might be a stupid question, but do you have any all-in-one PCs with similar specs? I need 2 for my home office.

    • +1

      Hi Drphods,

Unfortunately, we don't have any all-in-one PC in stock

      Cheers

  • REP,
Can you also add 32bg option if this MOBO will partake!
    Cheers!

    • Hi mikmac,

This mobo can only support upto 16GB, more than that, you will need to upgrade to a better mobo.

      Cheers

      • +1

Will do. Give me the option to spend more money please..
        Cheers!

  • +1

hey guys, just wondering if this was a viable option to play GTA V. if so what upgrades should I be making and…would it be worth it. haven't GTA'd since San Andreas. thanks heaps

    • Hi thebitw

You would need a dedicated graphics card to play GTA V :) I would recommend at least 960 for max settings.

      Cheers

      • Hi @storerep

Really? Would that be it? Especially to run it on high settings?
Do you know how much I would be looking at for a graphics card of that calibre?

  • +1

Don't need the DVD burner, ssd and hdd. Any chance could customise that?

    • agree

      • Hi

From our previous deal, we had quite a few issues with customisation so we are trying to limit the options this time to avoid making any mistake.

        Cheers

  • Hi Rep,

How much would it be if I choose not to include the HDD and the DVD drive and swap the 8G ram with 4g?

    • Hi

From our previous deal, we had quite a few issues with customisation so we are trying to limit the options this time to avoid making any mistake.

      Cheers

  • Hi rep, can I hold a unit? I need to finiah work and get home to do some tweaking with the build with GPU and PSU? Or will more units be available…?

Great deal, was looking at PCBYTE and PLE last night and couldnt decide. Thanks!

    • +1

      Hi poisonkiller89,

Unfortunately, it's first come first served so we can't reserve one for you. However I think they will not be sold out that fast :)

      Cheers

  • +1

This deal looks great but i would love to have the option to upgrade the MOBO to something like the H97 - Pleaaaasse :)

    • +1

Me too :) & an upgrade option to a bigger power supply if possible to pwease :) :) :)

I so want to grab it but just need the cherries on top :)

      • +3

        Hi guys,

We are still checking with our managers to see if we can put in more mobo upgrade options. Stay tune for more updates :)

        Cheers

        • Awesome thanks heaps :) Just wondering what is the brand of the upgrade to the GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 ? might have missed this info but couldn't see it.

        • @Elite: Hi Elite,
We will be using Asus brand.

          Cheers

        • Fantastic so hope for the larger power supply & MOBO options :) & thanks heaps :)

        • Looking forward to your reply

  • +1

Rep gave up.. Too many upgrade requests. Gone home!

    • +2

      Hi mikmac,

We will still be here for another hour. And we will try to reply as soon as we can during the night

      Cheers

  • How do you guys sell it for so cheap ? This is like close to cost or even below.

    • +1

      Hi KaTst3R,

We think it's time for us to give away instead of taking in :P

  • If you buy windows 8.1 with this, is it eligible for the Windows 10 upgrade?
