OP, please bring us a deal on Xiaomi Yi Smart IP Camera with Night Vision. Gearbest were selling it for USD28 some time ago. Can you beat that price?

Banggood you really need to start working on improving your shipping and transit time, not everyone is happy to wait over a month for their purchase. Also, can you provide a sample video quality of this camera?

      • Sample video, not the re-encoded Youtube quality.

    • Is it much longer than a month ? Usually it takes me around 1 month when I order stuff coming from China with 2 weeks being the fastest, which happened only on one occasion

    • Pay a bit more for expedited shipping then! It'll arrive faster and still, overall be super cheap

      • Yeah free shipping what do you expect. Gearbest is slow to arrive as well with free shipping.
Paid shipping you expect to be faster.

  • ignore

  • Could camera is new trend now a day.

Can I ask where is the could server located?

I have try one highend could IP camera and the sever sat at China, the viewing and actualy movement is 3-5 behind and not stable.

I think it will be good if you use it in China or you dont mind 5 second lagging.

  • For a no name indoor only, non-PTZ camera this doesn't seem a particularly good price.

  • Where does it get power from?

    • Power by AC power plug,
The package includes the power supply, and the cable reach 2m.

    Hi OP,

Does the video get recorded to the cloud?
Is there an annual subscription involved? If so, what is the cost and how many days of storage do you get?

    Cheers

  • OP, can this save to Dropbox?

e.g "You can double-click to 4x zoom to view the accident caused by your lovely pet.
Find it is sleeping in the sofa or chew your shoes in the corner, shout it immediately stop the destruction by voice function."

  • Too bad its not ip65/external compatible

  • Merged from Zmodo 720P HD Wi-Fi Mini IP Night Vision Camera - A $42.15 Shipped

Looks like a decent HD camera for its price range. Very small in size. Can be used as a baby monitor. Ordered one just now.
Apply the coupon code to bring the price down. Although the coupon code says $10 but brings the price down by $14.05

Again the question will be where is the server located?

If this is a could device it will be no good for Australia as the data will be sending back to China(Server) then back on to your computer, therefore you will need to use up all your data allowance(if you are on the go or not unlimited internet) and the major issue will be the time lagging. I have tried one and it take up as much as 5 seconds to return the image back that is to say it is not real time!!!!

      • Errrm, not sure that's how it works…

        • OP please explain how it works?

          • +1

@SnoozeAndLose: I think worthy1 has explained quite well in the comment below. I get the same impression by reading the stuff on their website. Will be able to shed some more light when I get it delivered which I suppose will not be very quick :).
For me, I don't need long recordings on the cloud/storage, I would be happy if it could send me an email on motion detection which it says it does.

By the looks of it, it runs over your wifi network (like most). Cloud services are not needed for things like using it as a baby monitor unless you are looking to leave your baby home alone and monitor elsewhere (id hope not)…..

It looks as if cloud services will be implemented soon, allowing recording and other monitoring. Most likely a lag which I would have thought would be with any cloud service, then again if you are watching it remotely are you going to feel/know its a lag….

    • In simple terms, think of it like a wireless USB camera. You link up the camera (also known as a ip camera) to your router/modem. The camera can then be directly accessed anywhere by either using a specific app or a given i.p address assigned to the device.
