    Les Misérables - 2 tickets for $60.01

Is it less miserable than the movie ?

    • +7

And I am Javert, do not forget my name. Do not forget me, 24601.

    • +1

You pay $30 per ticket while you only pay $15 in the cinema or $6 hiring in local video library, so how can this be less miserable? :P

    • +1

I thought you liked Russell Crowe!

    • -2

I've never understood why anyone would want to see something literally called "The Miserables". I'd pay not to see it.

  • +17

    +1 for the 2460-pun

  • My mate literally bought two tickets like 5 hours ago for $100 lol
    Nice find!

  • Plus booking fee ~$8.15

  • I only need 3 :(

  • Amazing deal….

  • Bought tickets for next week at around $32 each (including the booking fee). From what I know, original price was $150 in that section. Great deal!

  • For some reason we couldn’t complete your request. Please try different seats, or different ticket options for the same seats. If that doesn’t work, let us choose seats for you. Please search again.

    • Getting this error too, even selecting different seats does not solve it

    • +5

when selecting seats use the top choice for one and the bottom choice for the second seat - needs to be a matching pair for the combo to work.

thanks op - going to les mis next wk :)

      • Cheers mate, this worked.

      • Cheers this worked! Going to theatres on a rainy day with gf

        • haha doing the same thing :) see you there maybe

      • Nope still getting the same error even with selecting seats use the top choice for one and the bottom choice for the second seat.

        What am I doing wrong?

  • Thanks OP!

  • Worked nicely, if anyone wants a spare ticket for next saturdays performance for $20 let me know. Still a good deal either way

    • did u get stalls? Im thinking of bringing along another friend.

      • Yep stalls, row V seat 8 ticket if your friend doesn't mind sitting away from you all

        • Truthbe I'll take you up on that offer

          I'll PM you

Actually, can you PM me? Can't seem to do it on your profile

        • thanks truthbe. thats quite far from ours and they'll get view envy and end up cranky even though I'm taking them to see it for free. I'll let dumdidum grab this off you :)

        • if dumdidum doesn't go through - i would be interested too :)

  • Fantastic show~ Well worth full price. Let alone this price

Here's a tip on how to get those 3 seats sections but only want 2 (it shows a pop up of no single left over seats possible):

    1. Open a new browser and type Ticketmaster.com.au (not the discount)
    2. Navigate to the seat selection part of your preferred date. Don't select seat yet
    3. Open a new browser and use the promo link
    4. Navigate to the same seat selection part of the same preferred date
    5. Select one seat (you don't want from the 3) on your full price browser and continue to the next page where it confirms your seat and timer
    6. Select two seats (you want from the 3) on your promo browser and continue to the next page where it confirms your seat and timer
    7. It will now say those seats are unavailable etc. now refresh the promo browser and try to pick your 2 seats again. You will know it worked when you only see the two seats you want (and not the 3rd) on the seat selection screen.

Good Luck. That's what I did for mine :)

    • this is nice heh, wish i had thought of this yesterday :)

    • Wish I'd seen this too!!! We got -ok- seats, but could have been a lot better!

  • Already saw this when it first came out and paid over $250 for two seats … so now we're going again ..

  • Anyone know if you actually need to print the tickets or can you just show on your phone

  • I got tickets at this price for last nights performance (bought on Thursday, but didn't have the time to post it up here).

There were entire rows empty! Looks like it will probably all sell out now!

Anyway, it's a fantastic show and an absolute steal at $34 a ticket!

    • does that mean u can upgrade yourself n go sit where u like?

  • I heard from friends the performance isn't very good.
But at $34pp this is worthwhile and maybe not so at full price.
Probably why there are complete empty rows.

    • +2

      Well they are wrong.
The show has been long running and is ending this week, it's normal for any show to have reduced tickets towards the end.

  • Anyone pick up any spares between now and Thursday? Ticketmaster was down early this morning and now they're offering dress circle row F, far side (2 from edge). Wouldn't mind seeing it, but not enough to pay asking price for decent seats.

    • yes! pls pm me for dets tomorrow im new to ozbargain & cant pm on my first day!

  • Bargain in every sense of the word. Purely for the fantastic showcase and story it is. Saw it in Melbourne with the wife and we both absolutely loved it.
    (And we're not "theatre" types).

  • bought Saturday afternoon session right after I saw this post but realised better seats were released this morning. For future reference ,does anyone know how we can bypass the 3 seats but only want 2 seats thing?
thanks so much for sharing! Really looking forward to it :)

    • See my post above.

      • yeh I saw right after posting and proceeded to upvote your tip. Show was amazing! Thanks again fifafan!

  • would be interested in any spares for either friday night or sunday nights in stalls area. please pm if you have spares :)

  • Why when i go to buy single seats its not letting me?

    • the offer is for 2 tickets? which days are you after? There might be someone else interested for 1 ticket or have a spare

      • All night. They have been showing available seats for Friday but they won't let you buy them. I think all sols out but not confirmed on the site.

  • Fantastic deal, only if they had seats. Don't wanna take mum and have her sit on the other side of the hall…. or do I?

  • what is better - sitting in back section of the stalls or back section of dress circle? also centre or on the side?

  • were there any a-reserve tickets or better for this deal when it started originally? i can only find b-reserve at the moment

    • ended up getting middle seats up the back of the dress circle + an iced french martini :)

    • all tickets were available for the offer

  • You can get good quality 'rush-tix' from the Capitol Theatre box office every night for $45 each, from two hours till show. Last time, my entire row was empty.

Also, thanks, OP. Booked two tickets for parents anniversary.

  • The link is dead.

    • Per FB "Unfortunately the deal has finished. You can still get rush tickets for every performance for $45, 2 hours prior to the show.
      Thanks, Team Les Mis Oz"

  • Have one spare ticket for sale, $30. 2pm this Saturday, 17 October 2015. Please reply if interested and I will PM you.

    • Hi. I'm interested.where is the seat? Cnt pm because I'm a new user

      • Hi there, I can't seem to PM you. Would you be able to click my username "bfp" and then click "Start a Conversation"?

Thanks Op! I sat down last night to watch the show with my super cheap tickets when a curious smell filled my nostrils. The odour of de-thawed and microwaved KFC filled the air as I noticed a guy two rows in front of me chowing down on a 24 pack of Nuggets from KFC that had obviously just come out from deep hibernation. Following the feast, he pulled out some Scotch-Brite antibacterial wipes to clean his hands, and then used his final wipe to clean a scruff on what looked like a pretty new pair of Adidas trainers. He then began shuffling through his wallet where I saw a flash of a Regus Businessworld Gold Membership card. He finally started playing Angry Birds on his Nokia Lumia 530.

Our eyes met, and we rose to our feet and being overcome, we started singing
"There was a time when businesses were kind, and their bargains were soft, and their discounts inviting. There was a time when love for deals was blind, and the world was a song, and the song was exciting. There was a time, then it all went wrong."
"I dreamed a dream in time gone by, When bargain hope was high, And life worth living. I dreamed that Scotty and Tightarse would never die, I dreamed that my Credit Card would be forgiving."
"Then I was young and unafraid, And eBay discounts were made and used and wasted. There was no interest ransom to be paid, No free Good Play song unsung, No KFC coupon untasted!"

We then felt the long arm of the teenage ushers grab our frail bodies by the scruff of our necks and threaten to throw us out into the foyer before the doors closed and the show started. We whimpered back into our cushiony seats to watch the show, then gave each other at nod at its conclusion and shuffled back to our dark layers from whence we came. Waiting, patiently … for the next bargain to befall us … where perhaps we will don some of our lifetime supply of Cancer Council sunscreen … and as Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert, cross paths again.
