      • Yeah! I ordered just after the deal started yesterday, got tracking number before lunch, and then the delivery dude woke me up at 7.30am today.
        Not a bad turn around!

Also the price didn't increase and theyre awesome speakers. Im happy.

I decided to pull the trigger on the Breville BES920, wasn't listed on their eBay store at but it appears they're updating and adding stuff. Priced at $1499 but with discount applied it drops to $1199.20 (less 4% cash rewards $1151.23) not the ideal 'ozbargain' price however good enough to pull the trigger.

    • Do you get the grinder with it?

      • Yes I will, picked up the machine yesterday, grinder is on back order.

  • Hi guys, any thoughts on the Sony KDL55W800C 55"(139cm) FHD LED LCD 100Hz for $1,668.00 - 20% = $1,334.40? Click & collect seems to be back for this now.

    • Just a heads up: they've dropped the price of the KDL55W800C 55" to $1,495.00, which makes it $1196 with the 20% off. I just ordered one myself.

    • I have this TV. It's excellent Audio/Picture.

      Bad points.

Android TV is slow but what smartTV isn't?
TV doesn't come with smart remote, you have to purchase seperately.
Possible to wall mount but limited bracket options and thick off the wall.

  • Is product care(extended warranty) is available on online store?

    • +2

Professionals don't get sucked into buying extended warranty because we are already covered under Australian consumer law. Products should last a reasonable amount of time in relation to the purchase price.

  • Thanks, But I just got all money back due to product care warranty after use of 4 years TV.

    • +1

The question is whether you would've been entitled to the same thing under Australian Consumer Law anyway…

  • "The promotion code you have entered is invalid. Please verify the code and try again."
edit: nevrmind. Didn't realise it was eBay.

  • Poor form, prices increased and products removed from listing in some cases. Positive vote revoked.

  • Got a message from TGG. They're adding the Washing Machine I want to ebay tonight. Will see if the price varies.

Fitbit Charge HR Large - was $165, now $149

  • Sony htct180 increased from $279 to $349, disappointing

  • Got the LG 65UF950T, after ebay discount and 4% cashback comes to circa $3,387.21 Decent price I reckon.

  • Hope I'm eligible for the cash back deal on aircon too

  • -1

Wow. I applied the 20% discount code and I got a discount of $219,-
However, PayPal took the whole amount out without the discount….
Can someone please tell me what's going on?

    • Right before you typed the password the amount showing should be what you should have been billed. It would have been on the left hand side of the screen. Unsure what happened but you can just open a ticket and request a refund, shouldn't have any issues really. Worst case do a chargeback.

      • It's annoying though, as I thought it was a good deal. Oh well, when it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

      • It normally shows the full amount but when you view funding sources for that transaction you should see 80% you and 20% Paypal.

        • I will keep a close eye on my bank account today.

        • @Shout It Out: Go to your PayPal account and click on the transaction. You should see the discount there.

        • You will see the discount in the transaction and the discounted price to your method payment.
I purchased on the 13/10/2015 and still this evening, hasn't hit the account to verify the correct discounted price was withdrawn.

The GG invoice is the full amount, so I'll speculate, technically you could return the item within the refund period and make 20% profit?

        • @maxell86:
Well, I ended up contacting PayPal and they confirmed the discount has been applied. It hasn't hit my bank account either yet.
I also was able to claim the 'real cash back' deal :)

        • @Shout It Out:

          what cash back?

        • @dreamzz:

You had to use your docket number to claim a cashback on split cycle air cons before the 26th of October.
So if you purchased an aircon from GG, you have 4 more says to claim a cash back. Though it's only the first 3000 claims.

          http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/bonus-realcash-air-conditioner…

  • They put click and collect back in. These changes are getting annoying. Purchased something earlier today, going to try and request refund as it has not shipped yet and purchase with C&C

  • Everything I was interested in buying has gone up 20%

  • I got the Kambrook Blitz2Go - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kambrook-KBL20-Blitz-2-Go-Blender…
the price has not been increase. Good deal I think. I have my eyes on this since last week, the cheapest i could find was $40. the reviews are promising: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/kambrook-blitz2go.html

    • The seller a.k.a The Scum Guys revised one or more of the listings in your cart.

Because every time someone purchases one or stock is sold in the stores it updates the quantity available at each location!

  • According to eBay customer support on the chat, the code CTGG20 is for 15% discount.
Someone is telling porkies. Will call them later

  • Big W has the Garmin Vivofit for $89, Goodguys has it for $79 ($63.20 with 20% off)

  • Does anyone get problem when paying? My paypal says unable to process payment.
I called Paypal and the CSO said it might be because I was using discount code

    • The last time I had a problem with paypal was when I put a different name in the delivery address. May not apply to you though.

      • I had a different name and address for my order and it went through.

        • I've used multiple different names and addresses in the past and they've always worked. That was the first time it didn't. It could be because it was a high-value item (a 4g tablet) and I had just bought something similar a few hours prior.

  • Couldn't pass up the OLED TV. Thanks for posting.

  • Anyone know when they process/dispatch orders? Ordered a S5 (Wed 14/10/15), and getting it delivered from the Chatswood NSW store.

    • Call the store. Our store got the order in, but is waiting for head office to call. She said they would call them today or Monday.
Luckily I'm not a big hurry.

      • What store are you waiting on? Maybe they list items in stock because they are expecting new stock any minute.

  • -1

went to pick up my order and the lady said I needed either an Australian passport or drivers license specifically (wouldn't accept international passport. Just couldn't see the logic behind it.

    • Should've asked for the manager. It's to prove your identity only. Only reason I could think of to do this is if they're concerned about confirming legitimacy of other country's passports.

      • -1

It was the manager's instruction to not let me pick up the item. I will bring this issue up to the ACCC and also lodge a complain to Ebay.

        • ACCC or eBay won't help you. You need to report to GG head office. However I just looked up the terms and conditions:

          http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/terms-and-conditions

And sure enough, under the "Despatching an order" section it says they need:

          1. The order confirmation emailed to you at the time of purchase; and
          2. A current Australian Drivers License or a current Australian Passport are the ONLY forms of valid ID accepted for in store pick up; and
          3. Any acceptable tender types used in the transaction (e.g. the Credit Card or PayPal Transaction ID) used to Order

Also says "In Our sole and absolute discretion we reserve the right not to provide goods to a person picking up an on-line purchase and refund the sale transaction in the manner in which it was purchased or by cheque." (i.e. they'll do whatever they want).

So the manager was correct. If nothing else you need to complain to GG about the policy, not the manager's/store's actions.

        • To get around this so you can pick up your item (if it hasn't been cancelled), you could email to authorise someone else (with acceptable ID) to collect it on your behalf, then ask said person to collect if for you. Assuming you have a willing friend/relative).

    • went to pick up my order and the lady said I needed either an Australian passport or drivers license specifically (wouldn't accept international passport. Just couldn't see the logic behind it.

Guess what! When you place the order it tells you in a big font that you have to have an Australian driver's license or passport to COLLECT. Given that you were informed why didn't you call the store to explain your situation instead of expecting to change their policy to suit you?

      • +1

Nope not on my ebay order instruction.

        Here's what they've instructed:

        Collection instructions:
Licence or passport & PayPal Trans. ID must be shown and match the order.

        No mention of Australian specifically…

        • +1

Nope not on my ebay order instruction.
          No mention of Australian specifically…

After you place the order it clearly states you must present an AUSTRALIAN passport or an AUSTRALIAN drivers license on the screen.

And the email that is sent to you by TGG when your order is ready for pickup states CLEARLY the same.

          "Good news
The products you've purchased have been reserved and are now ready for you to pick up.
Please ensure you bring this email as well as a current Australian Drivers Licence or Australian Passport in order to collect your items.
Thank you for shopping with The Good Guys."

How much clearer does it have to be? Cherry pick a standard message from ebay all you like but it doesn't change the fact that TGG clearly state multiple times that you must have an Australian Passport or Australian drivers license.

How did you get on complaining to the ACCC that TGG are following their policies and procedures to minimise fraudulent activity? Did they hang up? Laugh hysterically? or did they pretend to take down your details?

Bought heaps of stuff from Good Guys via the ebay store, so I know quite a bit about this offer,
yes it is 20% off, however somehow the system will not apply the discount to the last item in the cart, hence why some people see a 15% discount, the work around is to buy one item in one cart via one transaction.

some stuff with smaller margins, either they will remove it from the list, or jack the price up ??
but I compare with other retailer before ordering, therefore I know it is cheap.

    • -2

Bought heaps of stuff from Good Guys via the ebay store, so I know quite a bit about this offer,

      Yeah sure you do.

yes it is 20% off, however somehow the system will not apply the discount to the last item in the cart, hence why some people see a 15% discount, the work around is to buy one item in one cart via one transaction.

Utter rubbish, why are you posting misleading information about how ebays system works? I have purchased multiple things from many retailers during the percentage off sales and the discount has ALWAYS applied to ALL items. You do realise that there are a limited number of transactions that you can perform for each offer so it's ridiculous to make one purchase per order and miss out on other discounts.

some stuff with smaller margins, either they will remove it from the list, or jack the price up ??

No they don't and are you asking a question or making a statement?

but I compare with other retailer before ordering, therefore I know it is cheap.

      Great story.

you can believe me, or not, that was my experience.

how about you just go buy something and try instead ?

you seems very agitated, get a great life !

        • you can believe me, or not, that was my experience.

Whatever your experience was has nothing to do with how the system works. Your claim is ludicrous and misleading. BTW you claimed you had purchased many items from TGG on ebay and claimed to know how the system works inside and out - LOL.

how about you just go buy something and try instead ?

I already said I have never had that problem, once again your ridiculous claim that the last item purchased does not get the discount which makes it a 15% discount is utterly unbelievable and devoid of all common sense and logic.

you seems very agitated, get a great life !

I'm not the one posting misleading information that I daydreamed. Provide proof of your claim.

        • @Maverick-au:

I am not posting my shopping details just for you.

you did not post any claims either.

I bought over 2k of things off TGG and all for 20% off, the one I did not get 20% off I get the transaction cancelled.

Just because you use strong words in this thread I will not give an apple about it.

        • @Maverick-au:

Further more, all I want to share was my experience and provide an alternative if the whole 20% is not applied. In terms of exhausting the 3 transactions per ebay account for this offer I am not sure about you but I have friends and relatives and they can get this deal as well.

your accusing me of providing misleading information, how can you be sure ? you sure the ebay 20% voucher system is flawless ? and it will not accidentally skipped to apply the discounts to all of the items in the transaction ?

at the end of the day, I got what I want to buy at 20% off and I am happy with it.

Your strong, subjective words such as "utter rubbish", "daydreaming" etc is cancerous to the success of this site as it will deter people from sharing deals, raising issues with the deal, and providing alternative method to get the deals. It is all because you try to oppress other people's ideas.

you are a sad little thing.

        • @fl360: Rekt.

        • -1

          @TheOneWhoKnocks:

LOL, how do you Rekt me ? I have bought stuff at 20% discounts.

you are the pathetic one try to make yourself feel superior here, you know I will let you have this feeling. you win ;-)

        • -1

          @TheOneWhoKnocks:

OK I am not agitated, I am just hungry, so now whoever wants to win and feel superior I will let them have it. LOL.

I asked TGG via e-mail why the Dyson Animal wasn't on the eBay page and if their website price was the best they could do… They came back with a little lie :(

The reason why this model is not on ebay is because it is already reduced from $697 to $497.
A saving of $200 great deal. We do have them in stock if you are interested, selling really well.

Both the Animal and Motorhead (which is listed on eBay) have been discounted by $200. If you're going to lie, then at least make it a decent one!

  • Just bought this waterproof camera off TGG appears to be $14 more with delivery than DWI but I get local warranty. Supporting local business.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111701833275

    That's 20% off + 4% cashback vs the CWEDDING20 code

  • off topic, my dryer was delivered today, the driver dropped it off and my nephew signed for it, just curious , should I have got some type of printed sales/purchase tax invoice?, nothing attached to the box other then a shipping label from Samsung to my local Good Guys

    • Didn't yo get your invoice in an email? I got 2 different emails with the invoice attached.

      • yeah I got the 2 different emails but no invoices attached

  • Ended up buying a vacuum and afterwards I found a voucher in My eBay for $15 off a min of $50 in the GG store! Unexpected, but just a pity I can't combine with the 20% sale. Now just to find something for ~$50 that I need/want!

  • Many thanks OP.

Our 30yo well-used blender broke last week (they don't make 'em like they used to!). Jumped on today and used the code to grab a Sunbeam 950W Pro blender. $56 after discount, which is better than anywhere else I could find.

Probably won't last as long as the last one (ha!), but a great deal. Cheers!

  • Some products don't have warranty info on them it's just blank. Does that mean it's only a year warranty?

  • When I was about to purchase a washing machine the other day - it was giving me 20% off and also offering my $50 off voucher.. Now it will not let me???

    • When I was about to purchase a washing machine the other day - it was giving me 20% off and also offering my $50 off voucher.. Now it will not let me???

What it may have done is shown you the discount if you used the $50 voucher and the 20% advertising was in the listing, you can't use two codes at the same time.

  • Thanks OP! Such a star deal! :D

    Bought:

    A sunbeam mini oven
    Yamaha YAS-203 Sound bar
    A Kettle

    For 558.36 - Saved $ 139.59

Happened to be in TGG store as well just before the closing time, was checking out the fridge's dimensions, a Panasonic fridge which we have been eyeing on for a while. Sales guy was nice enough to gave us a deal bigger than ebay. Including the discount voucher i have got. I got it for $69.34 less than the eBay deal. :D

Was going to get Dyson V6 Absolute on TGG, but by the time I acted, it was a tad late and they already have taken the listing off, marking it as sold out.

Still happy though, saved a total of $548.75

Now praying some Dyson deal will come up soon! :D :D

    Thanks again!

  • TGG is useless especially Auburn store, they never contact you and you need to chase up for any click and collect orders.

Also their customer service is very poor on the hotline. They don't bother escalate the issue to management.

    • That's unfortunate. I had quite the opposite experience. Received both e-mail and phone call (and another from eBay) wrt click and collect a day after ordering. They even reminded me that I had to provide ID, otherwise I'd have to send them an e-mail authorising the pickup for whoever does turn up.

The only gripe was having to wait to be served in the store, but given the flurry of recent activity as a result of eBay even that could be generally excused.

      • This is the 2nd time happening. They even offered the pair of camera lens with a display unit.

The lady on the phone didn't want to talk and say she is not responsible for doing deliveries. If I was to pickup the lens, then I would forfeit my delivery charge.I asked where the lens will be delivered from, she said auburn their store. I said I still prefer delivery but she said dunno

I called the 1300 466 348 number, the girl was not helpful neither and tells me to ring store directly.

        What a load of rubbish.

Google reviews shows 1.9 stars out of 5, I'm not sure how you got "opposite" experience.

I have high doubts anyone received a text or call to pickup on anything from this eBay if you have ordered last weekend

        • Seems like I got lucky then.

I certainly have all call logs, eBay transaction history and e-mails to back up my experience, plus we've been enjoying air frying (bought a Philips Airfryer) since last week.

        • You are lucky then I didn't even get an order number, and I had to ring 1300 twice to get to the right person who knows their stuff.

They are rubbish and cannot cope with high number of orders

  • picked up nutribullet. thanks

  • do they provide delivery tracking?
