Jeenee Mobile - $25/Month No Contract, 3000 SMS, 300 Call Minutes & 2GB Data (or 3GB for $30)

160

update: now 2GB $22 or 3GB $27 for 1st 6mths

Update: No setup fee for this October! Otherwise Normal setup fee $10.

Normally 1.5GB data, now total of 2GB data, including 500MB Bonus Data for a limited time (According to their website, offer ends 30th November, but bonus data lasts for the life of your plan)

$25 sim pack includes:

✔ Month to month – no lock-in!

✔ 300 call minutes

✔ Unlimited Jeenee2Jeenee calls

✔ 3000 texts

✔ 2GB included data

Can add extra 1 GB for total 3GB for $30 per month for those who need more data.

Runs off Optus 4G Network, data billing per KB. Fantastic customer service the few times I dealt with them.

For me, does seem like a better deal than the TPG VF Plan for $19.99 for only 1.3GB data. Optus coverage seems to be better too.

*All bonus data offers last for the life of your plan.

*Bonus data offer is only available on selected plans ($20 Starter SIM, $25 Coaster SIM and $40 Unlimited Talk & Text SIM). Available to existing and new approved customers. Bonus data will be applied on top of your standard monthly data allowance (to use within Aus) for the life of your plan (until you cancel or change plans). Not available with any other offer unless explicitly stated otherwise. Offer ends 30 November 2015.

International calls/roaming unavailable

  • A standard national call to any Australian mobile for 2 minutes
    including flagfall would cost $2.20

So this includes about 140 minutes of calls?

    • Not entirely sure about this… the Critical Information Summary states that standard national calls to other mobiles and landline costs $1.10 including GST.

      And further information about pricing:

A standard national call to any Australian mobile for 2 minutes
      including flagfall would cost $2.20
If you restricted your use solely to Standard National Mobile Calls,
each of 2 minutes in duration, you could make 150 calls per month
      from your Included Value.

So it does seem up to 300 minutes…?

      • Hi guys,

Just to clarify our Starter and Coaster Plans are minutes based and offer 300 Minutes of call time

  • It should be 300 minutes according to their website. Also note that this is less than the 500 minutes that was associated with the previous $25 cruiser plan which had 1.5gb, and the old plan had unlimited SMS, although 3000 is plenty in my opinion.

    • Yeah there's the tradeoff of 500mb for more calls and text. I mainly use iMessage and Facebook messenger anyway so don't really text much.

  • Thanks Op, really good deal especially when its only $5 extra per GB. So it will be $30 for 3GB, 3000 texts and 300 calls. I don't really call people much unless its an emergency so might consider switching from my current Optus plan.

Jeenee is the non for profit too right?

    • +1

      Yes that is correct.

  • Last time I checked, there was no international roaming possible with Jeenee?

    • Unfortunately not :(

  • +1

Thanks OP! I'm on the $25 plan and now i can get another 500Mb. Cheers!

  • FYI:
    No roaming. No international calls.

    • Lack of international calls is always my dealbreaker. :(

A $5 subscription with Skype could get you 300 minutes worth of international calls, if that helps.

  • Vaya - $18/month :
    no contract
    4G Optus
    1,5 GB data
    $600 calls

Bills in mb which means you'll be burning through data lot quicker. Also gotta deal with Ben Vaya's CS monkeys which are the worst.

I swapped from Liveconnected/Vaya to Jeenee and have never looked back

      • LOL, vaya trainned cs monkeys? didnt know that. No wonder its soo cheap

    Hi guys,

We are offering FREE SETUP on all plans throughout October - so no $10 setup fee.

OP could you please adjust your post to reflect this?

    • Cheers, updated.

    • just wondering why one would add a $10 1GB data pack when it's only $5 to increase plan data by 1GB?

      • Thanks for your question.

Our data packs are available for people who have exceeded their data allowance for the month (or are likely to exceed their allowance) and need some extra data to carry them over for the rest of the month.

Whilst our $30 Coaster plan offers 3GB per month - which is only $5 more than our $25 Coaster Plan (which offers 2GB per month) changes in plans in our system can only occur at the beginning of each billing cycle (i.e. - you can't change plans mid month). With our data packs you can top up your data for the rest of the month at a much cheaper rate ($10 per GB) rather than paying on a per MB excess data charge rate (which is 4c/MB).

Of course, if you find yourself consistently using more data than your monthly included allowance, it certainly makes sense to upgrade to a higher plan with more included data.

No international call - deal breaker for me as well.
