  • Are you sure phone OK?

    • I tried the code and it worked all the way to Paypal payment.

      • Also tried that it worked but the product page didn't say that. Only camera have this "Save 20% off (max disc. $300) - Use code CWEDDING20"

May be an error I reckon.

        http://stores.ebay.com.au/QD-Shopping-Centre

        • Hopefully they will honour it. I will be paying with paypal and see how it goes.

        • +1

@Jase2801: Do let us know how that goes please……

        • +3

The phone have a camera to take wedding photos.

  • Great price for this phone!

  • +4

    PS - Don't forget cashrewards - was 4% last I saw.

    • may not work since the code is not verified by cashrewards

    • "• Payment using any type of voucher or eBay credit may result in your purchase being ineligible to earn rewards."
Anyway just try it , see if its working or not

  • +1

Will the code work for other mobile as well, interesting to buy Zenphone 2, thanks OP,

  • Works on ipad too

    • Price for most ipad's on QD_AU have gone up to $6,500 … i think eBay has freaked out at their bug and jacked up the prices.

      • Not QD, go to DWI eBay website. Ipad Air 2 64gb $638 before 4% cashrewards.

    Samsung S6 $535 ….

    • +7

Can't replace battery or upgrade storage. Samsung lost my business.

    • link?

    • the fact that its the 9208 version… does this matter for us aussies?

      • Works well for T&O, missing V 850MHz 4G.

  • Tossing up between an LG G4 or the Zenphone Deluxe. Any views?

    • Toss a coin I reckon both great phones. Leaning a bit towards the G4 though.

    • +1

if you care about camera at all LG G4 has a much better one. Had the Zenfone 2 camera was the only negative for me.

    • yes, me too, any suggestion, cheers.

      • Quick google seems to suggest the G4 takes the cake - great screen resolution (1440 x 2560 pixels (~538 ppi pixel density) ?!?!)

Replaceable battery too so will get you more mileage if you want to keep it longer. And probably will get marshmallow (which is amazing for the battery) before the zenfone.

        Think I will go with G4 :)

    • +3

Bro got a G4 the other day; so nice to hold, screen's awesome as well as the camera, everyhthing's super fast and it's supposedly getting 6.0 in December.

      Currently trying to find a reason why I don't want one… :|

*Aaaand I just did. Yay new phone weeeeee!

eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse a discount in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any item as part of this sale has not been made in good faith. This includes any collusive conduct by buyers or sellers or any other conduct which eBay considers unfair or untoward.

Will be really interesting to see what ebay's gonna do indeed.

    • +1

Yeh I am a bit worried about this too but I had to post it too good to not to post. Fingers crossed.

    • +5

We can say there is a f1.8 camera in this mofo.

    • Yeah, I wonder if they could charge you the full amount? You'd think it would just be a cancelled odder if they decide to do anything.

      • Yes, I would dispute it with paypal in that case.

        • -1

Ebay own paypal so not sure how disputing against them will go (since it would be ebay charging you more if it happened, the buyer charges the same amount regardless, ebay give and pay for the discount).

But either way it's unlikely that it would happen.

        • @CheapBrah: I think worse case scenario would be a full refund. I don't think they can charge you the original full price.

        • +1

@CheapBrah: I thought paypal has split from Ebay?

        • @Zackyis: You're right actually, forgot about that

  • A tad more than $150 difference between one of these and a new screen for my S6 edge…..hmmm.

    • less after you sell the s6 edge broken, could get 150

  • Is this for Qd_au or is this code usable throughout the whole of eBay?

    • whole of eBay (only applicable categories, but I think ebay has screwed up that part)

    • +1

      Check the original deal link.

  • so will this do the new 4g from optus? is it that one?

    • -1

      No you'll want the H815T

    • +2

This does support Optus 4G+ 700MHz, but not the TDD 2300MHz.

  • There was a few issues with this EBay seller but with this price, so tempting,
    should I go ahead,

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2433118&p…

    • I guess if you can afford to potentially be without your money for a month or two, then why not take a gamble :)

  • +1

Phones are cameras also. Thing is discount shows up in paypal but when you pay the discount might be removed, happened to me when I bought a makita battery in another promo. Discount showed but was removed after payment so paid full price. I tried two transactions at the same on two computers from different ips and they went through displaying discount but one was full price in the end. I was trying for an ozbargain glitch.
I would try on this but waiting for Nexus 6p, if it is $447.20 I would get one also.

  • +4

Grabbed one…Thanks OP…Need a phone for my wedding business :)

    • No probs. What was your final payment? Did you check your paypal account?

      • +2

On ebay page after payment says I saved $111.80
        In paypal Payment was $559
        Broken into two sections.
        Bank account $447.20
        Voucher $111.80

        Both say completed.

        Thanks again

        • Same for me. Worked as intended.

  • How does warranty work with these if something goes wrong?

Do we have to send it back to Taiwan or does QD_AU have an AU presence?

    • You send it to their Sydney warehouse which is in Rhodes, Sydney.

  • +10

    please, stop posting these deals!!!
You guys are killing me, I have been trying really hard not to buy this!!!

    • Oh my goodness. Exactly what i've been feeling and saying to myself everytime this stupid deal comes up! :( :( :(

    • Yea I just caved, coming from a LG G1, will be interesting to see how much they have developed!

    • Gah, i can't bring myself to pull the trigger at the final Paypal step :(

  • +1

I have a bad feeling about this. The discount is for cameras, lenses etc.. not mobile phones. If whoever uses this code for purchasing a mobile phone and they get busted good luck with that!!

    • +2

      phones have camera.

      • You tell them that when they don't honor the discount :-)

  • +1

Just looked through the wedding category here http://www.ebay.com.au/rpp/wedding20 under cameras and no mobiles are listed. Hope all works out for people who make the gamble.

  • Bought this in last sale, didn't think I'd see another sale so soon with better price. Great phone at this price.

  • -1

    I've bought 4. GG :D

    • Don't declare that you bought
OZbargainer hate profiteer /re-saler like you

  • At what stage do you add the code? Once youve commited to buy?

    • -2

      yes

    • Add to cart and proceed to checkout and put the code in.

      • That is how we tested it.

        No need to commit.

  • LG G4 or the Samsung Galaxy S6? which is better?

    • +1

I'd personally choose the G4 just because of SD card and removable battery. Size wise they are quite different too.

  • whose cWEEDING20 is it?

  • Just tried phones from other overseas sellers with no luck… So this code probably only works for QD on non-camera things.

    • This code works with

      T-dimension(stores.ebay.com.au)
      DWI(stores.ebay.com.au)
      E-Infinity(stores.ebay.com.au)
      qd_au(stores.ebay.com.au)
      HK-BNS(stores.ebay.com.au)

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215356

      • Thanks for that, thought it was all international sellers.

      • T-Dimension is the pick for service and support.

      • -2

If you're going to put the link in, at least put the full one in.

        • Sorry what do you mean?

        • @superforever: He probably means to use full markdown syntax

          eg. [T-Dimension](u r l) will create a link to T-Dimension.

        • @iChopstick:

May be I just copy and paste the text from the original deal and I have posted the link to that.

        • @superforever: I'm not chastising, simply explaining since you asked.

  • +1

Good phone and good deal OP.
    Cheers

  • Looking at the xiaomi mi4i for under 250 with code. We sure this gonna get honoured?

    • I swear that wasn't there before :) Good find.

  • +2

happy i waited after this weekends deal

  • couple of dollars cheaper here

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/m.html?_ssn=t-dimension2&hash=ite…

    code also works!

  • -1

So the battery life of the phone, has there been any improvement? I did some research and this LG G4 has a really bad battery life.

    • +1

Will improve with Marshmallow. I've just ordered one. It's not a bad battery by any stretch, and I think software will be enough to improve it for daily use.

      • +2

Also if battery life is important, you can always carry a spare battery around in your backpack, jacket.

        • but they are a pain to charge, as it means your phone is connected to the wall twice as long. I used to love my old Philips Fizz with desktop charger. We're going backwards here.

        • @Jackson: You can buy separate phone battery chargers you just plug in the wall. Still annoying, but worth it at times.

        • @apptrack: really? I have seen one in years

  • +1

    Thanks OP
