Hey guys this is my first submission on ozbargain.
Sheridan often have 40% off sales but rarely have I seen a 70% off sale (off ALL branded stock).

Most things still appear to be in stock and in most colors too including great quilt covers, sheet sets and bathroom toweling sets.

I purchased the Bloomberg quilt cover which I thought was a great deal $449.95 down to $134.99. Unfortunately pillows were not on sale.

Don't forget free shipping on orders over $150.

If there is any details I am missing I would be glad to edit this and throw them in.

I am also not sure if the Sheridan outlets (physical stores) are doing these prices (I dont see why not, but I think Sheridan outlet is different from regular Sheridan stores)

Dont forget cashback rewards 5.40% at Sheridan outlet!

  • Any idea about thread count? How does this compare? Am in the market, but discounts off RRP mean nothing to me…

    • +14

Threadcount is the amount of threads per square inch of the fabric. A 400tc will have 400 threads per square inch of the fabric. Basically they say the higher the threadcount, the softer the sheets. When they start getting too high though (over 700) they crinkle much easier but can still be very soft. A lot of brands claim to have a very high threadcount of like 1000-1200 on sheet sets but often lie about it (in reality its probably something like 400 I think they calculate it differently to mislead people). Sheridan I doubt would do that though as they are known for quality. A high threadcount can also mean the sheets may not endure much wear and tear (they say around 200 provides the best durability and satisfactory comfort). I am no expert in threadcount though, I just did a bit of research and talked to some people that had bought sheets before. They recommended the 700tc sheets which I just bought myself should be great but it can really be up to your preference of how you like your sheets to be.

Thanks. I meant what TC Sheridan products are. They don't advertise it, which is oddd. Thanks for the explanation.

        • Ah sorry, on most of the sheet sets I think they do (some they didn't). Uncertain on the quilt covers and such though.

        • +1

@ruddiger7: Thanks for the deal, I ordered some. Hope I won't lose any sleep over it (lame pun intended). Based on a few web searches, the prices are good. Added a fitted sheet to get free shipping.

        • @Make it so:

Good to hear hope they are comfortable. I ordered the adkins 700tc and the bloomberg quilt cover both in king myself.

        • +4

Hey guys, I have been buying Sheridan Sheets and quilts for years. For all standard quilt covers and sheets the thread count is 300. If it is higher it is usually stated.

        • @be25mojo:

Thanks, I had a feeling it was that for quilt covers.

    • +1

No idea about thread count, but the wool douna i bought 6 years ago is perfect. Never cold and breathes so well i never get clammy or sweaty when it is warm.

  • higher thread is always sensational however keep in mind it's getting into summer and will be a lot hotter as they breath less (or at least feels so)…. personally i like 700 count for summer and 1200 for winter

    • +1

Agree…. I bought 1500TC because I thought I was choosing the best. DON'T!, they are so heavy and hot during summer.. 700-1000TC is best imo. (This is for quilt covers, not sheets.. Sheets you want as high as possible so your mattress stays clean)

  • Is $120 for 700 TC sheets (Queen) a good deal?

    • Deal starts tomorrow

      • +1

Which deal? I bought like 6 things this morning at 70% off

        • Sorry.Mobile site here needs a tad more detail.

I saw the date and "tomorrow" written. Thought your price was high. Presumed the date was start of deal.

    • For this brand in particular I think its a great deal

  • +4

    Don't forget cashback! ;)

I got some of their quick dry towels at last sale - bloody beaut! Saved a hundred or more over buying them in Myer.

shopping for linens never felt so good

    • +1

      Free shipping by 2c. Superb.

    • I tried putting two sets that I liked in my cart, and the order came to $149.98. Lmao, want to do a two cent swap? xD

      • lol much bad luck

  • just put a order in of 500$ over 1000$ in savings woop

  • 110 bucks for a 700TC queen sheet set by sheridan, that's pretty awesome. Thanks OP.

    • Far out, even 110$ is pretty expensive money!

However I've never tried Sheridan - is it worth it? How do they compare to similar TC bedsheets sold at Target?

      • +1

Well this is the brand they sell at Myers and David Jones. I think its much better quality than what you find at Target.

      • +1

I've only tried an "1000TC" sheet set and quilt cover off ebay once (was shipped in from India). While the quilt cover was pretty good (still using it), the sheet cover was absolutely horrible. It started getting signs of wear within 2-3 months (lint everywhere, I get very irritated if there's lint on my bedding and it keeps me awake)

I'm currently using a Sheridan 300 TC sheet set which cost me about 150 dollars or so. No regrets. That said, I'm the kinda person that splurges on my bedding as I see it as a long-term investment of sorts.

Haven't tried the target ones but I assume they'd probably be somewhere in between if not just as good as the Sheridans but I'd rather pay a bit extra for peace of mind and a bit more quality assurance.

  • What size of the Bath Towel as in the sizing chart they only list Queen Size, King Size etc for the towels?

    • I use Queen Size towels and they are good sizes.

    • I love Sheridan bedding, but loathe their bath towels.

I had to bin my Fraser towels because they shed like mad. I have only held on to the Hue towels as they are not quite as bad.

  • Would anyone know about the sizing of the fitted sheets? They say 40-50cm deep on the size charts, would this mean they all go to 50cm or some do? I've found it so hard to get some that are 50cm I find it hard to believe they are all this deep. Great deal btw!

    • My mattress is a king but is thick as it pillow top plus and is 50cm depth

Are there any sheets that are this?

  • Are their 700 tc sheets thick? I like 'smooth' feeling sheets and have noticed at motel/hotels some of the thick sheets feel a bit rough. I suffocate under thick feeling sheets and like the feel of 'light' sheets (but still want the quality feel). Would their 700 or 400 tc sheets be more appropriate? The problem I have with my sheets at the moment is pilling building up from using a hot water bottle. Do these sheets prevent that occurring?

  • same product code and both 600TC.

SHERIDAN SHAWCRAFT 600TC SHEET SET Queen for $128.99 (WAS $429.95 70% off) Sheridan outlet

SHAWCRAFT FITTED SHEET Queen for $107.97 (WAS $179.95 40% off) Sheridan

I can't see the difference in product except colours

EDIT: The one from Sheridan Outlet comes in a set (fitted sheet, sheet and pollowcase) and the one from Sheridan comes with fitted sheet only??

    • correct. I was unsure whether to go with the Shawcraft or Alford but in the end went for the Adkins for the higher TC. I think I probably should've gone with Shawcraft though as that was the one being stocked in major retailers and had online reviews (there was nothing for the Adkins other than the Sheridan site which made me suspicious of it). They are still 50% off so I'm thinking these 'sales' are pretty normal prices for them so the 70% off would've been in reality a 25-30% off for them.

  • whats included in the quilt cover set? i'm assuming the quilt cover and 2 pillow cases? but they don't seem to list it at all..

  • +1

The sale of "nothing of really $99 is better for high cost items. For small stuff, I'm sure it works out better. The sale seems to come up every 6 months or so

  • Just a question, do people have any recommendation on doona itself? I'm currently looking for a queen sized one, but I don't know which brands or types to really look out for.

    • +1

      yes

  • Thanks OP. There's what looks to be nice baby blankets for $39, RRP $130. Two colors to choose from: MARSHMALLOW (pink) or chambray (blue). I got one to get me over the $150 for free shipping, might be useful for someone else. They also have cushions for $10-$15 (RRP $50).

  • Damn you OZBG!

$257 down, and still don't have the size of bed i need for these….. better be worth it in quality of sleep!

  • Thank you OP, I got the 700TC queen sheet. Good timing too, as I was looking to replace mines.

  • +3

Did some research and found that 300 TC is enough for quality. Looking at 400 TC on the site it's a $20 difference.

Had a look through the website and bought the below. Good value for 70% Off.

    My suggestions:

    Beach Towel $20

    Bath Robe $38.99

    • didn't see the candles thanks! Beach towels are a bargain definitely getting a few today!

  • Thanks! Grabbed a few towels, sheets, covers and the reed diffuser : )

  • You guys reckon it's a good idea to buy queen size to put it on single bed?
I might change mine to queen so might look something for "multi-size"

Also for tropical humid weather , Which one of these materials you guys reckon between Linen/ Wool/ Cotton would be the best?

    • I think queen might be a bit big. I grew up with a double on a single bed and it was perfect. Personally I would prefer a size up quilt on my bed so for a queen id get a king but it all comes down to personal preference.

      • Single: 92 cm × 188 cm
        Double: 138 cm × 188 cm
        Queen: 153 cm × 203 cm

        Hmm make sense

What material would you reccomend for tropic humid weather?

        • Sorry i can't be much help with that question

        • @lkp:

          Cheers m8 :)

  • Anyone know if their fitted sheets stretch? I don't weight much (60Kg) but everytime i get a fitted sheet after about 5 months the sides get all lose and i keep needing to force tuck it in constantly. Don't want to spend this kind of money on sheets if it's going to look as ugly as mine do after 5 months.

  • How come this got so many positive votes?
Can you please high light some good deals?
    Thanks

    • 4 comments above from ozjoey

  • Aweome. Thanks OP.
Just snatched up 2 x Queen Quilt Cover sets for $155.

  • Newbie What does a QUILT COVER SET include? I'm guessing quilt cover, fitted/flat sheet and a pillowcase?

    • Usually just a quilt cover and 2 pillow cases for anything above a single

      • Don't double's usually only come with one pillow case as well? Thought it was queen and up that'd have two.

        • you could be right I have actually never bought a double, seems silly not to have 2 though.

  • cashrewards didn't track =(

  • Has anyone had their orders shipped yet?

    • Rang them this morning (Wed). Apparently a whole lot got processed last night and will be picked up by aussie post today.

    • Just got the shipping email with tracking. Looked up the tracking number and it was sent out Wed and already at post office ready for collection :)

      • Got an email today as well.

  • Nothing from Sheridan, nothing from Cashrewards. Does anyone have an update on either?

    • Nothing yet either…

What business takes more than 1-2 to process an order these days?

      • Same here. Called this morning and was on hold for 15 minutes, customer service picked up and then hung up the phone.. Like what the?? I didn't even get an email confirmation when i placed my order.

  • no cashback no email to say if order shipped. on their website it says processing! close to a week now and no update

    • They split my order in two. One came today and the second one still hasnt left yet. I think they are struggling to keep up with the ozbargain orders!

  • I called on the 19th since I was unsure whether the payment was received but they told me it had (I later checked my bank statement and they did debit the amount) and my order was being shipped from the Melbourne Warehouse that very day. Still haven't got the sheets, cashback credit or confirmation (I live in a city area so post should be no problem). Think I should give them another call? It's been over "five business days" as stipulated in their delivery and returns.

And it still says 'processing' in their website with no tracking number. Also was hoping to get around $10 cashrewards :/

    • I'm guessing someone on OB is associated with Sheridan (or it's just a strange coincidence) I was just sent a shipping confirmation to my email ten minutes ago! Thankyou.

      • UPDATE: Now arrived at 7am. Towel is very nice and the pick of the quality goods here (maybe slighlty thin for such quality but I realise thick plush towels = harder to dry). The robe is alright but by trying to be deluxe, and quick dry at the same time, feels a bit lacking prefer my thick feeling (and somehow lighter) Adairs one better. As for the sheets haven't tested them out but I have no doubt they are brand new looking at them but the feel is average. I'm thinking they will feel cardboard stiff until a few washes with softener/detergent.

These are a part of their 'essentials' range so I wasn't expecting the feel of $1000 dollar sheets, they will probably last a while though (more than a few hundred washes here's hoping). I love the 'slippery' feel of satin silk (even if they are harder to clean) so will be looking out for deals on those (on Ozbargain, I doubt Sheridan stocks them). I'm guessing a lot of 3-4 star hotels (best westerns and the like) order these in bulk, it will sure beat sleeping on pilling riddled fabric. 7.5/10 product, 5/10 delivery time.

I think they used to make their goods in Australia and now with most other Pacific Brands goods (BONDS being the main one that changed, there was a noticeable difference since around 2009/10 in the feel of their tees and underwear, the elastic hasn't been as good and the fabrics worn about thirty-forty washes) changed their suppliers/materials (these sheets were made in China, the robe and towel India), some reviews were really negative about it but I guess if they didn't evolve prices for their essentials range would be $800+ not half or a third that. I could've bought a cheapo Q sheet set up the shop for $49.99 the other day, so they were probably fair value at around $150. I don't know who's paying $400 for them!

      • I reckon, I got the shipping notification last night too

  • This has been a rotten experience for myself. First, shipping email did get received until 10 days after purchase when l then sent them an email asking where it's at. Second, cashrewards never got processed. Third, goods arrive and the packing slip receipt is minus the most expensive item. Now, l have to call these guys again to get this sorted. This has not been worth the time or the hassle.

    • +1

….climbs down from high horse. It arrived today, two weeks later.
