Since people are having some problems creating personalised stamps, please follow these instructions if you're lost.

  1. After clicking the link there should be a box on this page that says 'create it'. Click that.
  2. This page allows you to upload an image, add text, whatever you want. When you've done whatever you want add this stamp to your cart.
  3. When you're in your cart click 'proceed to checkout'.
  4. When you're on this page look for a box on the right where you enter 'Coupon/Gift Certificate Code'. Enter the code '099NAME' in there and hit apply.
  5. The prices should then update and you can go through and pay.

Please note:

  • When you're creating your stamp you will only have basic options unless you click 'Advanced Silverlight Designer'. You will need Microsoft Silverlight installed to use this editor.
  • The smallest font size you can use is 22, and you cannot create more than 3 lines on the one stamp. Gooddog is the smallest/cleanest font available if you want to do this. Thanks to jh084 & garfy_w for this tip.
  • If you're having trouble with the above code not working, once you've created an account you can generate your own code by going to http://www.cowcow.com/shop-n-tell.

  • Grabbed a couple, thanks OP!

Been waiting for a deal like this for a stamp I can edit - thanks for posting

  • Thanks op ! Got couple of them :)

  • Have tried the link, but still don't understand how to upload the signature, and cannot find the deal!
    Could you explain more?
    Thanks.

    • +8

Okay, so the link above goes to the stamps created by other people. If you scroll to the bottom there should be a link that says 'custom namestamp'. Click that.
There should just be one stamp on that page, 'name stamp $7.99'. Click that.
There should be a box on this page that says 'create it'. Click that.
This page allows you to upload an image, add text, whatever you want. When you've done whatever you want add this stamp to your cart.
When you're in your cart click 'proceed to checkout'.
When you're on this page look for a box on the right where you enter 'Coupon/Gift Certificate Code'. Enter the above code in there and hit apply.
The prices should update and then you just go through and pay.

      Hope that's much clearer. :)

      • +2

I've changed the link to go direct to the name stamp. Hope that helps.

  • I asked in another deals thread. What is th difference between cow cow and arts cow? Are they th same company? Their websites are near identical.

    • -1

      Parent or sister companies.

    • +5

Artsnow.com is the parent company and owns both artscow and cowcow. Cowcow is a newer site more catered to everyday people rather than businesses.

  • +1

Cannot get the font size to change from '22'. And anyone know what the 'Move Steps' slider thingy does?

    • I'm also facing the same problem

    • +1

Took me ages to work this out as well! Minimum font size for this stamp is 22. Try using a smaller footprint font.

  • anyone can tell me how to edit text? like change colour, change font…? I tried chrome, firefox, ie but there's nothing related to these functions appear?

    • Once you've added something to the stamp, there should be a bar on the right (between 'Add Image' and 'Advanced Silverlight Designer'). Click on the bar itself.

  • +1

Nope, Dont know how to change font size?? after half an hour try, it's still 22

    • +1

Took me ages to work this out as well! Minimum font size for this stamp is 22. Try using a smaller footprint font.

      • +1

Sorry - what do you mean by 'a smaller footprint font' ?

I've changed the font to numerous different fonts and can't get it to be any less than 22. Problem is that this stamp needs to have my address on, and if I can't make the font small enough, I won't be able to fit the address on the stamp lol…

        • -5

Yep…. I just wasted over 45min trying to fit text onto stamp properly.

$1 stamp, but wasted almost an hour signing up, verifying, and only then being able to try and create the stamp without success (you cant even trial the design process unless you sign up- also not mentioned above).

Neg vote due to cumbersome design process, terrible website instructions, and for the waste of time so very much not worth it (ie NOT a bargain). I've had cheap stamps made before (from here on OzBargain actually!), and none of them were as bad as this. Similar special pricing too.
Avoid Cow Cow for stamps and keep your valuable time to yourself.

          Don't waste your time.

          @UFO:
I wish that your post was up earlier, everything you say is correct, also missing is that you have that Silver-light crap from MS installed to use it - been avoiding that sh*t for years, now find out it is still no better and will remove it from my machine tonight.
as for JH084 post below, tried 4 or 5 fonts that had a clean look about them, still did not fit.
so a neg from me too

        • +1

          @afterabargain:

Don't know what you guys are talking about I love silver light and used it numerous times.
It doesn't work for chrome which is annoying though.

I didn't order this stamp but ordered stuff from arts cow and cow cow too.

        • +4

@afterabargain: Only took 20 mins max to sort things out - including font/colours/size.

There's no need to take out your lack of experience on artscow/cowcow websites on a perfectly fine deal.

        • @afterabargain:

          Silverlight = drive by p4wnage

          in English

Have this installed and your PC will get owned simply visiting a dodgy site

          Google Angler Exploit Kit

        • Try doggy font. I had better luck squeezing more stuff there

          @Baebs:
Sorry didn't know you had to be a computer wiz to be here,
but then again I now understand when looking at your history posts

maybe you should also read c310city post

          I found it interesting

then again why should one have to install some software to get a couple of cheap stamps, if I had been aware of that in the description, would have given it a miss and not complained either
          Each to their own

        • -1

          @harkoliar:
          thanks, for the info,
After my last post had another read because of the criticism I copped and all the extra info is there NOW,
I don't sit in front of a computer all day and also of the senior variety, so a little understanding would be welcome.

        • -1

          @Baebs:
See the post has been updated and the info should have been mentioned in the first place for people like me - now I can crawl back under a rock to please Baebs

        • +1

@afterabargain: I updated a few hours ago because I saw a couple of posts like yours. I didn't add it at first because I honestly hadn't even thought of it. But I can understand that some people might require more information, that's fine, so that's why I updated it. There's no reason to be offended (I don't think they meant it that way, anyway), we all just operate differently.

To be fair though, look at the most recent comments. People don't even read it all anyway. :p

        • It was a first for everybody yet 2 felt the need to neg.

        • No bloody way I am EVER installing Silverlight on my PC again.

That piece of crap caused (and still causes) so many issues with your PC that it's not worth the grief. Just Google Silverlight if you dont believe me.

As to the naysayers above, everyone is entitled to their opinion… and so am I.
I wasn't the only one to experience frustration with the website, and I think I know enough about PC's to know how poorly designed the online design software is.

For the few bucks you save (no one would ever pay the inflated original price anyway, but $1 is still cheaper than not) it's not worth your time jumping through the poorly designed hoops to get the discount.

Other online vendors sell a similar product and have a design process far superior than this mob.

  • how come i get "Express Checkout PayerID is missing"

    • Maybe try going to http://www.cowcow.com/shop-n-tell and generating your own code?

    • Mine finally worked….
I received the same error earlier today and gave up after a few retries.

Just now, however, I received an email saying I hadn't completed my transaction. Clicked the link, proceeded to log-in and was taken directly to the PayPal checkout from there. Bizarre.

  • Thanks OP. Didn't see where to choose the colour but maybe the ink isn't included?

    • If you go to the advanced silverlight editor I found the ink colour selection there.

  • Thank you. Ordered a pair for the kids.

  • +5

This guy would be happy to stamp his signature everywhere
    http://i.imgur.com/V81sLu1.jpg

  • is it free shipping only after you buy the 3rd?

    • No I just bought one and got free shipping :D

      Thanks OP

      • Where'd you find the free shipping option?
Mine is displayed as Shipping: Regular Airmail 8-12 business days$ 10.97
        For 3 stamps

        • Never mind I didn't look properly! :)

  • A store rep needs to get a "JV Approved" stamp and stamp it on all invoices for Ozb deals.

    • +5

Wouldn't be used enough to warrant it.

  • I've changed the font to blue, but the preview still black…

    • Ah, in the preview I can see the single ink colour selection, I chose blue!

  • all to difficult for me to get the fonts right - changing from 22 to 10 or 6 , made no difference a 3 liner address stamp just would not fit.

    • Yea, changing the font does not seem doing anything on IE / chrome

  • +3

pick a different font - i used gooddog and fit in name address suburb postcode and state. adjust the box. as mentioned above it's limited to 3 lines and size 22. you can't use a traditional font because it won't fit. i also have a short name and street name too which helps

  • haha sure you dont

  • It keeps saying" this coupon is for single use only" I haven't used this one ever and after creating two new accounts it is still showing the error. Weird.

    • +1

Maybe try going to http://www.cowcow.com/shop-n-tell and generating your own code.

Otherwise, has someone else with the same address already used that code as it does say *One use per household.

  • edit

Got the code working but have received this error, same as a user above "Express Checkout PayerID is missing"

  • Thank you
    Just ordered two.

  • Great if you want a stamp with your address in a crazy font. Otherwise waste of time for address stamps.

  • Thanks OP!

  • where to choose the ink colour? is it through silverlight?

  • Can anyone comment on the quality of these stamps? I read from the previous deal that some weren't happy with their stamps.

    • I ordered one through Cow Cow a while ago and the quality is good. I don't use it often admittedly, but I would've happily paid $10 for it.

      • +1

Ignoring how mature I am, this is my stamp from last time. I hadn't noticed before, but it does look like it prints heavier/darker on the left-hand side.

        http://i.imgur.com/QeQU0RM.jpg

        • Lmao, I can just picture the artscow employees having a laugh whilst shuffling through orders!

    • My stamp wasn't good.
At the places where it should be dry, ink was released. Therefore, I can make out the whole rectangle so it made the page dirty.
The spacing in between letters and numbers was not sufficient so the ink made it hard to see some letters.
I think it was on the default settings for font size.

    • Mine wasn't that good either. The ink was very uneven, but for a $1 I didn't mind too much. I'm going to try and order one again and hopefully I won't get another dud.

  • Please note that the stamp area is extremely small. Suggest you upload an image at 400dpi instead of struggling with their web based software. +1 for the price that includes delivery.

  • -1

couldn't create the stamp. website fail now I'm a member of this crappy website.

  • Don't understand all the nay sayers. Took me less than 5 minutes to create and order.

    • It was easy for me too, but shrug, different browsers and what not may make it harder to figure out/work properly.

  • Thanks for posting the deal. I got very frustrated and was pulling my hair while using this website and wasted some time on it before reading "jh084" comments and used gooddog fonts. Thanks "jh084".

  • Ordered a few stamps. Need to download silverlight though. Thanks OP

  • +1

make one that says "tramp" lol

  • looks their system has some issues. I already paid by paypal, but got 2 emails said order not finished, need to pay again.

  • Note that you have to have Silverlight installed. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some people may prefer not to have to install it.

  • Get following error (after clicking "create"):

Deleted row information cannot be accessed through the row

  • I had to use IE and had to install SL, interface is a bit clunky and includes a lot of things that shouldn't be there (patterned backgrounds and coloured clipart?) but got there in the end. Thanks OP.

  • +1

After getting frustrated with their text editor, I ended up creating what I wanted in Microsoft word with my choice of font + clip-art, zooming in and taking a select screenshot then uploading it. Had to adjust the "emboss" button" after adding the image but worked a treat.

Thanks OP, ordered 6 of them.

  • +1
  • Does anyone know how long the deal will last?

    • Looking at the previous CowCow offers it looks like these generic codes expire within 2 or 3 days. You can still generate your own code that works however, so not sure how long that will last for.

      • thank you :) hopefully it last until tonight then!

  • Hi,

Not letting me apply my code. I keep getting the error saying it is for single use only… i am yet to use it at all.

I have tried generating my own code

    • If even your own code isn't working I could only guess someone else in your house has already used it. Is that possible?

      • Not at all. I live on my own… could it be that i am doing it of a work computer/network? or how is it driven?

        • What's it doing when you use the code you generated?

It only says it can't be used with other codes and only 1 code can be used per household. Not sure otherwise.

        • @girlshaped:
So i am not getting that error ever. If i go through that method i get the same error "this code is for single use only"

        • @johnzak:
As I mentioned below, I used a VPN to change my IP and used Incognito mode. Between those two I stopped getting that message.

  • Should be reply, nevermind.

  • Brilliant, thanks OP! Made stamps with our name+address, paid, scanned and completed. Should help us with our paperwork at home.

After reading the tips above it only took me 15 mins for the whole lot.

    • I did this over two logins. Even with a separate login it said I'd already used the code.

Had to go into private browsing mode for the second one and used a VPN to change my IP address - this solved the issue.

  • Can't get the second stamp :(

  • Wow code still works! Thanks op :)

  • Nice instructions and hints OP, thanks

  • Does this still work? I tried the code above but doesn't… Am I doing something wrong here…

    • Yes you are. I just purchased one - code is still active.
